The other winners were deserved, the only exception could have been Jessica Lange, but the rest really good performances.

Given how often she was nominated in the 1980s, it's surprising that she didn't get a nod for Reversal of Fortune in 1990.
Soon. Also, I did notice that she is happy for the winners each time. Though for Olivia, I think it was more humble acceptance and the look of "when" but when she receives the Oscar it will be as if she never said goodbye to those previous opportunities.
She was sad. No doubt. It has her big chance after she won Golden Globe, Sags, Critics Choice and Independent Spirit.

She should have gotten it for The Wife, her performance had so much more depth and richness compared to Coleman just shouting.

This is simply a living proof that at certain times awards are literally not sufficient enough for some exquisitely incomparable actors/actresses.. even if it’s an Oscar statue, it may mean absolutely nothing for some unique, gifted artists.. Glenn Close has won the awards by touching the hearts of many people, and we are still and always under the immense effect of her powerful acting whenever we see a glimpse of this fantastic lady in any of her movies.. that’s an award beyond Oscars or for any other measures..

Glenn was definitely robbed for dangerous liaisons and fatal attraction without question, but I cant agree with those saying she was robbed in The Wife. Glenn gave a fantastic performance in an okay movie, whereas Olivia Colman gave an outstanding performance in a critically acclaimed film. The narrative that year was more that Glenn was overdue, not that she undoubtedly gave the best performance, albeit a fantastic one. That being said, she is an outstanding actress who definitely deserves one, I just hope it’s for the right role. Fingers crossed it’s the future Sunset Boulevard and not for Hillbilly Elegy.

Sometimes luck is not in our side i remember after fatal attraction both Michael Douglas and glenn close were my favourite actors. Douglas was i think nominated only once for best actor and he won whereas glenn could not win even after so many nominations
