      Athletes run the 200 in 2 distinct strategies. They either go out hard and hold on, or they go out soft and try to bring the speed against their natural slowing as they tire. Neither accelerates around the curve.

      That may be true, but the headwind and the altitude more-or-less account for each other, so it’s not unreasonable to just take the 19.71 as it is, which is a very fast time for April.

    Great early season race between these two. The USA men's 200 trials are going to be brutal. Lyles, Knighton, Bednarek, Lindsey, Kerley, Norman are all capable of running in the 19.7 or under range. Someone could run 19.80 and fail to make the team.

    Julien Alfred and Letsile Tebogo have the absolute worst judgement of where the line is when they lean for the finish that I have ever seen in elite sprinters. Their coaches need to address the problem immediately. And it's not really about judgement because you can see where the line is. Julien Alfred's lean is so bad that she leans and is up erect again before she even gets to the line. Badl! Bad! Bad!

    I still feel Erriyon Knighton have the most potential when it comes to younger generation runners in the 200m. But Tebogo for sure is the most unique so we'll see!

    After all the hype following the 300m WR I haven’t seen anything here that makes me think Tebogo can take down Lyles in the 200 at the Olympics this year. Lindsey is looking great this season but he’s not in Lyles class in the 200m.

    He was out to have fun. a lazy start then a jet off. Lindsey had trouble with that. he wont have a chance with a wr 300m holder because of power difference. The next race will go a tenth lower when he runs the curve.

      Tebogo style is not in anyway similar to Bolt's style
      Bolt ran 9.86 while "jogging". If Tebogo should try it, he would run maybe 11secs.

It just means that, they have a similar running style largely due to their physical attributes which are similar. Calm down we are talking about style not times. And speaking of times, Letsile will do very well in these coming Olympics.
