I call the G a baby thrower - relatively small head - I find the reputable manufacturers claims to be accurate BUT what's being measured is best case scenario i.e pitch black darkness and clear conditions and then measure the slightest amount of light on 'target'. I have found from a users perspective max beam distances can't be perceived/seen when in use - yes the target is probably lit but so dimly you can't see it it. My high zoom camera 'see's it' though. Therefore as a rule of thumb I half the claim that being the distance the light has sufficient brightness to clearly illuminate something. With that in mind the G easily went out to 250 meters. I hope that makes sense? Perhaps a skip through the video I did on thrower comparisons - in particular the bit with a caravan in the distance - to my eye it didn't look as though the lights were making the distance but they were easily, so capable of much more.

Nice review 👍. I like both lamps, but for me it looks like the "f" version has got another tint than the "g" one

Which is better C8F or C8G?
I wouldn't say either is better than the other. One is more of a throw beam, the other more balanced.
