Hello everyone! Let me start off by saying that this is probably one of my most favorite projects I have done! I am so in love with how it turned out and hope you feel the same (if you don't, that's ok too lol) These jeans have been laying around for too long... getting lost at one point... finally being found wanting to be transformed haha The jacket turned out to be a sorta patch work type of piece. I initially had it in mind that I was going to throw it into the washing machine just to make sure that all of the raw edges fray properly but soon found out that the more I handle the jacket (holding it, rubbing it, wearing it, etc.) the edges would fray naturally so I didn't do it. Hope you like what you see! =]

Hey girl hey. Yes the mic works great, keep using! So for jeans u don’t need to hem the sides together? Like a quilt? Cause wouldn’t that unravel? I’m new at sewing so idk lol
Heyyyy!!! Thank you girl! 😊❤ ... So if you don't want something to unravel or fray you should hem it (or finish the edge in some way)... if you want something to fray a little (the way I want it to), you should do a stitch line. The stitch line will stop the threads from unraveling (its like a stopper.) I hope that helps a little 😊

Ahh yay! Just found your channel, I have so many jeans that don’t fit and can’t bring myself to throw away now I’ve got a new project! :)
And I’m a little late to the punch, and the audio sounds good, but around 4:50-6:00, 7:40 *, and the outro the L and R tracks go out of phase. It’s just slightly jarring while wearing headphones. Love the way the jacket turned out, can’t wait to see more!

did u use fusible iron on interfacing to line jacket?
Thank you so much! ... no I didn't use fusible interfacing. I actually lined it the way a normal (or most jackets) would be lined using a light weight fabric =]

Would it be possible to use this same method to make a pair of skinny jeans, and possibly keeping the waistband and working your way down to create the legs?
Yes! Of course 🙌🏻👌🏻 just make sure the denim your using to create the legs either have stretch...or you make them according to your leg measurements so you can fit them after 👍🏻💪🏻🤗

I was using a heavy duty sewing machine and the needle size was 16 (for heavy fabrics) =]

Haha thank you so much! ... well if you have a pattern for a simple jacket...I think a beginner could make it work! Its only sewing random small pieces together technically 🙌🏻
