I'm glad I found this video, I'm a sewer and I have a container full of old jeans, what I imagined while watching was back pockets on the sleeves, belt loops at random places, the tags at random places. Wow I think I need to make a jacket this looks so fun to do. Since it's been a year have you had to make a lining because of the seams? For your first time make something you did a great a job. Thank you for sharing this fun idea!😉
@@MeganWeller im thinking about doing this, but instead of sewing it, I'd just put the patches on top of the original jacket. If I do decide to do this, I think it would be cool do the patches of jeans on the main part of the jacket, but leave the seams, sleeves, and the square in the back to paint. Not bad. Youve done really well with this; you remind me of how I used to experiment with sewing when I was in high school. If you ever want to make this more decorative or patch any holes, try looking up sashiko embroidery. It's crazy easy and makes an amazing effect, and is GORGEOUS on denim. An artist called Mutsu is an excellent inspiration.

Thanks! It took a few days, the hardest part was making the pattern and sewing the squares together. I would guess maybe like 15-20 hours all together.
