    Can you also freeze shortbread cookie dough?

    • @oniemix3946
      @oniemix3946  Před 3 lety +3

      Yes you can freeze them beautifully. Just tighly wrap the log in a plastic wrap then into a freezer bag. Freeze up to 3 months :). Let it thaw in the refrigerator for an hour or two before slicing. Thank you for watching, much appreciated :)

    I wish cookie dough would flatten after being frozen instead of turning out like puffy pucks when cooked. They never seem to look like they did before freezing or even refrigerating for that matter. I still haven't figured out the solution. Any suggestions would help.

      You need to let it sit outside so it isn’t very cold. The colder the cookie the less it spreads.

    Is it safe to let raw cookie dough with egg in it sit out for half an hour?

    • @sabihasayeed1670
      @sabihasayeed1670 Před rokem

      Yes, because it's frozen, so the temperature of the dough is still quite low. Over the course of half an hour, it will begin to thaw to get closer to room temperature. Of course, if you're from somewhere that's very hot, it will probably thaw faster and you'll be able to use it up faster, too. So no harm done. Half an hour isn't that long. Just enough for the dough to thaw enough to cut. Just don't let it sit out unused for hours, and you'll be fine.

    does it need to be frozen before baking ?

    • @oniemix3946
      @oniemix3946  Před 5 měsíci

      You don't have to but if you like fresh cookies when you want to, then freeze half and bake later, on the other hand, you can bake all then freeze some of the cookies for later or what I do is, freeze for an hour, cut bake and thats it :)

    Missing temperature and minutes in oven, how much oatmeal and cranberries? 🤔

    • @oniemix3946
      @oniemix3946  Před 2 lety +2

      Thank you for visiting my channel :). In this video, I added half cup each oatmeal and cranberry, you can add a litttle bit more or less, it's all up to you. I baked the cookies, 350F for 5 to 7 mins depends again on your oven. If you like your cookies crispy bake it 7 to 10 mins. Happy Holidays!!
