The BeeGees said on one of their interviews that they did the music first, and then wrote the lyrics to fit the music. They did all their songs like that. Truly amazing
Its amazing how quickly they write the lyrics..
What's amazing to me as I watch them create the song is that none of the brothers could read or write music! This process is the way they got the notes and tempo of the song.

They later allowed someone to video the writing process with JUST IN CASE. Barry and his sons gave pretty interesting information in a 2016 interview when IN THE NOW was released.

Eddy, is there some way you can make a note of which videos are older but transfers? I don't want to comment if it's already done.
I think they said they would usually start with a title and melody and do the lyrics last. Pretty good for guys who couldn't read music and were self taught musicians.
