I love "Fleabag", and I'm glad that it finished after Season 2. It didn't overstay its welcome, and we got two hilarious, thought provoking series out of it.
you're so right. I love a good limited series and I feel like the BBC do so many good shows like that that are only 1/2 seasons
its you again hello!
@@rhea9743 Greetings, it's official, I'm everywhere as far as CZcams is concerned! 😉
I agree but part of me was still waiting for Fleabags happiest ending ever
i just finished it, it was so so good
I feel like the show The Great is underrated as well. It’s such a well acted and comedic show with compelling drama.
Yes yes yes😍
omg YES it had a really really great second season that lived up to a really really great first season
oh it’s so good. i have to say the second season seemed to lose its way for a bit but it was still entertaining- just not quite up to the standard set by the first season.
Yesss yess omg..i just finished s2, and loved it..it is so underrated tho, i feel like most great shows on hulu are quite underrated/underaprrciated??
the irony lol
"What We Do In The Shadows" is another show that is under the radar but has the brilliance and comedic timing that everyone would love
The movie and the series are straight up my favorites pieces of vampire media
the show was bad
I watched the first episode and didn't enjoy. Maybe I'll give it another go but it doesn't seem interesting to me.
Recently watched Arcane, Dark and Derry Girls and I'm genuinely impressed by the quality and care that they have. Definitely reccomend
DERRY GIRLS!! absolutely loved it!!
every time i see a bridgerton interview/announcement, i get mad because i'm like HICOLA HAD TIME TO FILM 2 SEASONS OF BRIDGERTON AND WE STILL DON'T HAVE SERIES 3 OF DERRY GIRLS
YES ARCANE ! can't wait for the next season to drop. The representation is so good in this show
Arcane was so good I’ll happily wait another 6 years for a second season
derry girls love to olga
If you love workplace sitcoms like The Office or Parks and Rec, I suggest Abbott Elementary. It has heartwarming moments, humor, great writing and lovable characters. It’s also one of few Black led shows thriving right now.
Yes Parks and Rec is honestly such a fantastic show, never thought I would be so hooked on politics, but that just goes to show how well the show is written, especially with their casting
Love Abbott Elementary
bojack was a comfort show for me for YEARS. in particular, the way they used animation to show how dementia could feel just is goddamn art.
season 2 episode 1 of Fleabag is the best 25 minutes of TV EVER and I will not be argued with on this
RIGHT?! I've watched it like 50 times
I’ve never been more entertained in my life
I just got watching it it’s so good im so glad I watch it I don’t want it to end!
watch free churro episode of Bojack Horseman
Ozymandias>>>
I think an important thing to point out about Fleabag is the fact that it's based on Phoebe Waller-Bridges' own one-woman stage play, and, as a former theatre student, really manages to capture the heightened emotion and fourth-wall breaks of the stage in such a captivating way. it's a perfect emotional adaptation of stage to screen and deserves a level of recognition for that alone.
I highly recommend Derry Girls, Superstore, Inside no.9 and The Marvelous Mrs Maisel
Yes! Inside no. 9! My favorite anthology series ever
Killing Eve and Fleabag in the thumbnail, absolutely iconic. Love the new format too, I look forward to watching this video
P.S. Good luck with your dissertation! I've just finished mine, feels like such a burden lifted haha
Update: great video, I've added a couple to my watchlist! Definitely agree with the shows you recommended that I've watched.
congrats!!!! I cannot wait to free my brain from the shackles of academia
@@elleliteracy haha I'd say the same but I'm about to start teacher training (secondary school) in September so I'm just gonna be shackling others instead
three other wildly different shows for your consideration:
- young royals (teen drama done right!! great cast who actually look like teens, great chemistry, great representation, great emotion)
- over the garden wall (possibly my fave series ever, wonderful animated limited series with so much to analyze and unpack omg)
- fargo (same universe as the film! first two seasons in particular are literal masterpieces in acting, writing/plot, cinematography...)
loved young royals! hope we get a season two
OVER THE GARDEN WALL IS SOOOO GOOD very underrated watch it with my little brother every year around fall
i rarely see people talking about over the garden wall it's so good but sadly very underrated...
Over the Garden Wall is so underrated, I love it!
Some of my favs of all time are Arcane (yes it is as good as everyone says it is), Russian Doll, Good Omens, Cowboy Bebop, Anne with an E, and Deathnote
Good omens and Anne with an e 👌
russian doll is so great
Russian doll, Good omens are *chef's kiss*
cowboy bebop
cowboy bebop
I definitely recommend Anne with an E. The storyline is so good.
Definitely think Avatar should be in the "If you haven't watched this what are you doing" section because it's one of the most popular Nickelodeon shows right after Spongebob Squarepants lol. I wonder if many of these shows are lesser known outside of the US? I see you grew up mainly in Ireland from your description 😊
right lol everyone knows avatar
I'm in Australia and it was huge here too
My mad fat diary is a great coming of age type show. Talks about mental health, body image, and friendship. Also has Jodie comer from killing eve
Yes. Was going to comment this!
the best TV show I've watched this year is "We are lady parts". basically it's a show about 5 young muslim women who play in a punk band called lady parts and the show follows the characters as they they navigate their lives and work on their music together, trying to get a gig. it's such an amazing and funny show. i loooove love the main characters. there's only one season with 6 episodes out yet but I think they're getting renewed for a second season
you convinced me to watch all the shows i still haven't on this list bc of the way u talked about the ones i did (and love). expect to hear from my friends who have been trying to get me to watch ATLA for years now
Crazy ex girlfriend has excellent mental health rep too . It’s an insanely smart show
YESSSS!!!
love this show so much. The musical numbers are great too!
Was going to comment this! The Venn Diagram of people who like Fleabag and CXG is a circlt
yes!!!
Kinda but the ending is atrocious in terms of mental health rep. YTW better
Thank you for being including Sharp Objects, I don’t see a lot of people talking about that show. It’s criminally underrated and the finale made my jaw drop
Bojack Horseman is the first show that stuck to me, even after a few years of it being out now. It made me have an actual sincere appreciation for TV and moreso made me realize that shows like these can really help people. This show reminds me of my college years and everything I went through at that time. The show is truly therapy and an emotional ride you don't see coming. The creators made it that way which is cool- the first like, 6 episodes or so make it seem like an adult animation and then BAM shit gets real and you're hooked. I wish I could watch it for the first time again. This show will always be my #1. So grateful for it.
Thank you SO MUCH for mentioning “The Night Of”. Since I watched it a few years ago, there frankly isn’t a week that goes by that I don’t think about it as a whole, and also Riz Ahmed’s devastating performance. It deserves 100% more hype.
Imo Attack on Titan is the epitome of "If you haven't watched this, what are you doing?" AND "Why aren't more people talking about this?".
Having studied dramaturgy, I would go as far as to say nearly every aspect of it is perfect. Great animation, voice acting (Japanese that is), plot twists, character building, world building, lore, soundtrack, plot construction, foreshadowing, complexity, themes etc etc. I've reached catharsis multiple times during the show because of the whole composition of elements like music and VA making my emotions explode.
Attack on Titan is definitely underappreciated in the mainstream because it's anime, I've never heard any critics say anything about it in my country and a lot of people around me haven't watched it whilst I am advocating for the show very passionately to them. Remember I'm talking abt my country and mainstream audiences specifically, not the internet and anime culture.
I am also so happy that you mentioned Skam, I'm from Norway so this show was my life during high school in 2015 and onward to its last season. Every teen should definitely watch it.
Don't wanna be THAT snob, Attack on Titan is certainly fine, but there are so many better, weirder, artsier, more emotional, more thought-provoking, with better action, tighter writing anime out there !! AoT is just average pitted against the best anime has to offer. It just happens to be the one most people who don't watch a lot of anime know of.
@@Feamelwen what anime shows do you recommend ?
@@lina-bz9em Oooh, there are so many!
For a grand fantasy adventure with militaristic elements, aka for fans of Attack of Titan, I would recommend Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. It can be horrific and serious as well as lighthearted and silly. It's geared more for a teen audience, but adults can enjoy it as well.
Two of my favorite animes that are weird, unpredictable and deeply psychological are Neon Genesis Evangelion and Puella Magi Madoka Magika. They're both also a bit of a meta reflection on anime in general, especially mecha anime and magical girl anime, so it maybe helps to know a bit about both genres beforehand.
Monster is the prime example of an anime for adults and is an excellent, if slow paced, psychological thriller.
Welcome to NHK is a comedy show about a depressed outcast that manages to touch on some deep themes while also being wacky and outrageous. Its presentation is deeply psychologcial as well, with what's on the screen often reflecting what's in the character's mind, or at least playing with it. It's pretty good in having you feel sympathy for a very mediocre protagonist with very few heroic qualities.
I've only just started watching Paranoia Agent, and it's soooo good so far! It's kinda anime meets David Lynch. Also absolutely check out Satoshi Kon's other work, such as Perfect Blue and Paprika. Most of his works have surreal elements and deal with multiples realities or the nature of reality.
@@Feamelwen i disagree, AoT is some the best story telling/writing i've ever read and watched!!
@@Feamelwen Do you have any shoujo/ josei recommendations?
So many of my personal favorites on here, and I LOOOOOVE that you mentioned "Barry". What a hidden gem. And as a former actor, I can tell you, it's HILARIOUS in its parody of "black box" theaters. Bill Hader and Stephen Root have incredible back-and-forth, and I am HERE for Henry Winkler renaissance. I recently discovered your channel and love your content! Brava!
lupin was definitely it for me. grand army was like euphoria without the sparkles and nice cinematography, a bit grittier than euphoria too. abbott elementary is rlly cute 2!
I can't wait to watch your recommendations, they all seem really interesting
I watched Avatar the first time last February and Legend of Korra during that summer. I really clicked with Zuko unlike any other character and although Kuviera came out of nowhere to me, but Korea’s PTSD from the events of not only season 3, but her family issues as well I think was well done-especially since my family structure has been all over the place and finding my place not so much in my family, but with others as well
You have so many of the best shows I’ve ever seen on this list so I’m definitely taking up all your recs of the ones I haven’t seen yet
This was the most refreshing series recommendations I've seen in a while, thanks
Yess Pen15 is so underrated. It's not only super funny and relatable but it also tackles some important topics like racism and divorce. 100% recommend
I love Bojack Horseman as a show, and am currently rewatching it for the third time. Great show with a great amount of humor, seriousness, (especially) depression, and heart. Love it!
thank you for a whole new watch list!! i'm so excited to watch all of these!
I've never seen anyone speak about "doom patrol", another superhero type show that is so different to anything I've seen. It depicts found family, mental illness, sexuality struggles and so much more with humour and surrealist plot elements. Such a unique show! Just moved to HBO for its third season. Brendan Fraser is amazing in it and a legend.
ah, big agree!! it is such a unique show with SUCH a big heart. it seems like it's so rarely talked about, so it was so nice seeing your comment about it :-)
Yeah Doom Patrol is great.
Doom patrol is great but also after season 1 the show slowly loses more and more steam for me
OH MY GOD YES, Teddy Perkins is my favorite episode of Atlanta, and I truly think it’s such a wonderfully unsettling and well-written episode. I told my mother she should watch that episode specifically despite her never having seen Atlanta (especially because she loves horror), and I loved watching how she just could not take her eyes off the screen the entire time. Ugh, it’s brilliant
I live that episode! The one where poet boi goes to the interview segment and the Justin Bieber episode are two of the funniest episodes of television
3 shows i think are heavily underrated:
"dear white people"
a satirical comedy/drama show about black students in an ivy league university in America, that follows a different character each episode. it mainly revolves around samantha white (played by logan browning) who is a mixed race black film student with a radio show called "dear white people".
pros: it discusses race, activism, queerness, free speech and blackness so well. the representation is amazing with black lesbian characters, black gay characters, black trans characters, afrolatino characters.
cons: towards the end of the show it starts losing grip on itself, it jumps way ahead in the future and becomes a musical. i hated it so much but its honestly so worth it. also for a show about race, sam's privilege in being a light-skinned green eyed black women is rarely (but not never) discussed.
fave character: Kelsey, a black trini lesbian with an emotional support dog called sorbet.
"we are lady parts"
a sitcom show about an all-muslim all-woman punk band in London. follows amina (played by anjana vasan)a guitar teacher as she becomes more confident and societal expectations, upon joining the band.
pros: the representation of Muslim women is amazing, IMO. great music and very funny.
cons: slightly predictable at times but still enjoyable. only one season yet.
fave character: momtaz, a niqabi band manager who works in an underwear shop.
"it's a sin"
a drama show about mostly young, mostly gay, characters in 90's london dealing with the aids epidemic. follows ritchie (played by olly alexander) as he leaves home, denies aids and is then having to deal with the effects of the illness.
pros: funny, good balance of light-heartedness with sad moments.
cons: very sexually graphic.
fave character: colin, a shy gay welsh man, seen to be sweet and innocent by other characters
me: calls myself a proffesional tv watcher
also me: has watched 5/18 of these lmao (fleabag, atla, skam, the magicians and barry)
they're all on my watch list, it's just a question of timing and vibes, i will get to them eventually.
for recs though, i mean get ready, some might be repeats from the comments i've seen, but just shows how good they are i guess. also those are the shows that i have fully watch and can vouch for, there are plenty of shows that i love and are great, but i'm not caught up on, so i can't really speak on and say they're amazing. btw these vary so much in genre, like i do think they are all amazing but in vastly different ways
- ok so this is the shows that are so freaking good, but were cancelled too soon, but still manage to be incredible pieces of televion: sense8, the get down, anne with an e, dead like me, pushing daisies, the order, wayne
- these were cancelled too soon as well imo, but they might be more just my taste and not everyone agrees?: galavant, generation, julie and the phantoms, now apocalypse, one day at a time
- these are shows that are objectively perfectly executed and wrapped pieces of television: american vandal, crazy ex-girlfriend, dirk gently's holistic detective agency, everything's gonna be okay, freaks and geeks, los espookys, mr robot, the end of the fucking world
- this is the same as before, except taste may vary and maybe i'm the only person who likes these shows: unreal, wolfblood, eyewitness (the american remake), hollywood, in the flesh, sweet/vicious, the librarians
- these are shows that are airing now or have had at least one season, so they might get bad, but so far they rock imo: as we see it, derry girls, home before dark, miracle workers, mortel (it gets better in s2), resident alien, this is going to hurt, we are lady parts, dickinson
this is specifically a watchlist based on the video, a type of "since you liked this, try that" thing, i only have a few specific ones, since we've established i watched nothing lmao. also there might be some repeats from the list above just bc its so specific:
- skam: we know there is nothing quite like skam out there, unless you wanna watch blank or lovleg, which i have not yet, but have heard are respectively skam but in college, and skam but in the country instead of the city, but they were shows made specifically because of skam so they have the same vibes i am told. if you're into s3 of skam, young royals is pretty much the go to, so i'm gonna assume you've seen it, but of not, do so lmao. and if you're gonna try you're hands at a remake, i'd say go for druck (the german one) or skam espana if you want a similar vibe to the og but with different enough stories that you're kept on your toes. and as someone who is muslim, it has my personal favourite altenate sanas, who are ironically both called amira lmao. the 5 other remakes all vary in terms of tone and vibes, and at some point it just gets repetitive, so it really depends on what you like about skam, and i'm happy to rec specifically on demand but it's too complicated otherwise
- pen15: i haven't seen it, but from the premise, i have big mouth, which is not the same media at all but the pen15 girls directly made a cameo in it and they compared their shows in universe so i wanna say it has similar themes but i have no idea. and i also rec the show chad, it has the same thing of an adult woman dressing as a kid and interacting with kids, but she adds the twist of dresing as a little boy and she killed it honestly, i constantly forgot this was a grown woman and not an annoying 14 year old boy. she really managed to capture everything perfectly, i simultaneously hated and felt bad for the kid.
- the magicians: the closest thing to the magicians i can think of is the order and that got cancelled after 2 seasons and i am both mad and relieved because i did not like where we were going
- tho boys: these are obvious but invincible for the whole realistic superhero thing and bad heros and such, and jupiter's legacy for the realistic "if superheroes had been around for decades they'd be like celebrities/rich kids" but this one i think might not be as good? because the saturation already of the genre, and the boys doing it so well, it might've flopped. but it was set in 2 time perieods, and i personally really liked the storyline set in the 1930s about how the first superheroes got their powers
whoever read all this, bless you lmao i wouldn't have
My brother and I have literally had such long conversations about bojack. Specifically on one hand everyone can acknowledge bojack is a bad guy who’s done very bad things, but I at least seam to forget some of the bad things he’s done and try and see the good in him. It’s such a good show I love it. :)
I love how you've structured the video! Your presentation of your recommendations and the clean crisp delivery makes this a well made production. I hope many more people subscribe like myself!
this video deserves more views!! love everyone single show u recommended here
i love your take on this being a film student excited to watch some of these ;)
I've been rewatching Jean-Marc Vallée's work since his untimely death in december. What a true genius. Will look into sharp objects next! Love all the suggestions.
this is an absolutely IMMACULATE list wow.
also my underrated rec is definitely Pushing Daisies.
I have told so many of my friends to watch SKAM, that show did so many mind blowing things for me and really made me interested in film. I'm a film student now and never regretted it.
Thank you so much for these recs!!!
from a fellow english & film senior -- 'peaky blinders' and 'the alienist' are both shows that slip under the radar!! both get pretty dark but make fantastic commentary on class & psychology!! peaky blinders in particular is one of the best-written shows I've ever seen, and is rich with themes & analysis
6:47 I was actually about to point that out. I've seen a lot of Bojack fans also love Fleabag and it's clear to see why. Both shows are drama comedys starring relatable yet emotionally broken main characters and both shows deal with loss, self sabotage and mental illness very well.
dude i’ve seen most of these and you’re right, they all hit so hard. you should watch hannibal, curb your enthusiasm, six feet under, nurse jackie, ted lasso, the undoing, and king of the hill. based on your list i think you’d like them :)
I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEED MORE of this, Ive watched Fleabag, Bojack, the boys, Atlanta, Avatar and im currently watching sharp objects and I may destroy you, you're honestly awesome and i loves your recommendations, i showed this video to some friends and family cause I couldnt agree more
Please keep making more suggestions, I loveeee this list so far! immediately binged watch high fidelity yesterday and I'm already experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Also YES to fleabag, bojack, avatar. Would recommend everyone watch girl from nowhere, the maid, crashing (also written by Phoebe waller-bridge)
I would like to say that SheRa is a personal fave for me, I think it's super well done/written to, by no means the BEST show but at least for me personally it's pretty up there :)
You are amazing girl, thank you for this 💜💜💜
the magicians is my favorite show, i'm so happy to see someone talking about it!
NOTHING HAS EVER BROUGHT ME AS MUCH HAPPINESS AS SEEING NATHAN IN THE THUMBNAIL HAS
i just watched Mare of Easttown and I loved it! Thank you for the recommendation
I jumped out of joy when i saw u mention skam!!!😭😭i love it sm
Can't believe I've never heard of succession before, I'm going to have to watch it now, thank you
Literally one of my favourite shows, build up is a bit slow at the beginning but it is so worth it!
hope you like it!
I highly recommend watching all other Skam's remakes (Especially the Italian and German ones). I enjoyed beyond words how they portray the same scenes with different technical and script approaches!
how does one recommend killing even and not hannibal 😩
hannibal is extremely underrated
I’ve watched like half of these shows so I just know you 1) have immaculate taste and 2) that I’ll love the other half that I haven’t seen
M*A*S*H is on Hulu. It might be kind of outdated but I really got invested into their stories although by the time Radar left I was kind of split wanting to move on to something else or finish the show, so I kind of picked and chose my way to the final-it’s a comedy and there might have ended up being a thing or two I actually missed from a missed ep when it was brought up in an ep I did watch
Thankkkkk youuuu i have been looking for reliable recccs
SKAM YESSS! I would only add Sense8. The scifi plot is not that good but everything else is perfection.
i think about sense8 being cancelled way too much
Great great list these are some of my favorites. I’m stunned we have pretty much identical taste!
I do love The Magicians shoutout, I agree it does fumble the first season but it’s solid escapism I wish more people gave a chance.
The second you mentioned Nathan for You, it really confirmed that your taste is ELITE! that show is hilarious and is truly one of a kind.
thank you for this video!! many of these seem extremely interesting so i’ll give them a watch :)))
I have watched 4/7 shows in your thumbnail. I am a penchant for good TV. I always coerce my friends & brother into watching my favourite shows & they have never regretted a single recommendation. Succession” is like “Mad Men”? It’s on my watch list, now I’m gonna start the show.
I loved High Fidelity. I hope they bring it back now it’s on Disney+ and loads more people can watch
The series concluded where the film did, I’d be eager to see what they’d do with it now that they’ve exhausted the source material.
if you haven’t seen Superstore, it’s amazing. It’s such a good comedy in my opinion and tackles topics like immigration and unionizing and ICE in such an awesome way
I've just watched Good Omens for the 5th time and I honestly cannot wait for season 2 I recommend it so highly if you haven't seen it yet
Season 2 broke me omg
SO excited for jensen ackles to join the boys, I'll be catching up on it thanks to that and your recommendation!
As a fellow film student, I would also recommend Dark, Dollface and Sweet Home
I personally def recommend ‘Veronica mars’, I literally never see anyone talking abt it but it’s such a good show. Me, my sister and my mum like to watch shows together and we’re looking for something to watch when we found it. My mum had watched some of it when it was airing (early 2000s) and said it was good so we started it. I have literally never been so invested in a show before. The characters are interesting and the plot lines are incredible.
Without spoiling anything:
The show starts off with teenage girl Veronica mats who is a young detective working for her dads private investigation business. She had been an average popular teenager until her best friend Lily Kane was murdered. Her dad, the former sherif, was convinced she was killed by her father but was taken out of office and hated bc of the accusation. Veronica now having lost her boyfriend, and best friend is left to pick up the pieces, helping her classmates when she can and slowly unconvering the mystery.
It’s an incredible show and the only warnings I’d give are that it talks about sexual assault at many points, and that there are some characters who experience racial prejudice and homophobia. (But it is painted in a negative light, not just in the show bc the time period allowed it)
Tried watching it but it seems very cliche from the first 2-3 episodes, does it get better?
@@abdirisak944 I can def understand that! Esp since it’s from the early 2000s. The first couple episodes are kinda trying to get their footing. I really enjoy the season further on but my absolute most memorable part of watching the entire series is that first season final episodes. I have never in my life screamed so much over something it had such high tension moments and I did not see any of it coming especially who ended up being the murderer. And how. If it’s not for you that’s completely okay!! But if you ever have a space of needing anything to watch and you can get there, the end of the first season really ties it all together. Like seeing all the episodes build up to this one thing that (personally) I never saw coming was so fun. Esp watching it w other ppl and having the same reaction.
1. Succession
2. Fleabag
3. Killing Eve
4. BoJack Horseman
5. Schitts Creek
6. Avatar the last airbender
7. Skam
8. Pen 15
9. The night of
10. I may destroy you
11. Atlanta
12. The Magicians
13. High Fidelity
14. The Boys
15. Barry
16. Mare Easttown
17. Sharp objects
18. Nathan for you
Watched 5 of these, can definitely recommend Fleabag, Killing Eve and The Magicians.
The night of and Sharp objects seem interesting, but since they only have 1 season, I won't be watching them anytime soon. 😅
I feel like "The End of the F...ing World" definitely belongs on one of these lists
i just started watching your videos today and nobody ever trusts me when i say that the magicians gets WAY BETTER after season 1, i am officially subscribing
The Great, Orphan Black and Modern family are all amazing tv shows I’d like to add to the list. The first two need way more recognition and modern family is just a must watch
Girl! My fave tv shows are all in the first half of the video literally ALL! also from the second half I LOVE Barry, The Night Of and Mare of Easttown! so I think were officially besties .
Finally someone talked about The Magicians, although not perfect its just amazing and I haven't seen another similar show
I love sharp objects I really feel like I do not hear about it enough
finally someone else who like The Magicians!!!
yeah, the first season is closer to the books, who was written by an iffy guy, and it shows in the storyline especially around Julia
i almost gave up on the magicians after s1, i was like nah, i'm not gonna keep up with s2, but for some reason i did, and boy oh boy was that a good decision, it just improved so much! but then i stopped after s4 for no reason other then i felt heartbroken at the ending because i was way too invested in quentin an elliott, i was like how dare you kill someone off, but i'll go back and finish it one day, i must
@@neivilde.1242 ahhh!!! Im so glad you kept watching, but I dont blame you either for not seeing the last season. You can def tell Quentin is missing from it, but its still a fun storyline and I think has a satisfying ending. Its more of the same, so if you’re itching for more content, I really enjoyed it
Love so many of these shows, especially fleabag and schitt’s creek! I can’t leave without recommending Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It’s not new and it certainly of it’s time, but it really so good and i think everyone should give it a chance.
My favorite is fleabag but i'm also absolutely in love with "please like me" and "everything's gonna be okay" , Josh Thomas is hilarious and sensitive and amazing and i love him.
i was already gonna watch the high fidelity as a film student too and your take on Cherise IS SOOOO GOD DAMN TRUEE!!!! this show has the best side characters I swear to god lol
She-Ra y'all! It's a great mix of a comforting n funny escape from reality and intense complex characters, and super gay too :)
I love Schitt’s creek omg!
Everyone is recommending my fleabag in the last few months and this video is what finally pushed me to pick it up
I watched Nathan for you and Pen15 because of your recommendations, and adored them both!
Please do another one of these soon!
If you haven’t watched Rita, I can’t recommend it enough - it really does real life right, and season 4 is possibly the best season of TV I’ve ever seen. It’s also the best season of TV to watch if you love accurate and real coming of age narratives
Omg thank you I’ve been screaming about the boys it sooooo good and underrated
Highly recommend the comedy Dickinson, it's beautifully written, queer, and hilarious.
you have such good taste omg
A fantastic list, I loved every single show from this list I've watched, and will definitely check out those I didn't.
I would add Community, It's a Sin, and The Umbrella Academy
You talked about Barry!! Omg that show is so underrated I could cry
12:29 and as a muslim hijabi woman may I add that it is the only time I've seen actual good muslim hijabi representation in western media
Have you seen We Are Lady Parts on Peacock? I loved it! 😀
@@Boomskiddy agreed "we are lady parts" is soooo gooooddd
My Recs:
Succession
Community
Dark
Derry Girls
Fleabag
Bro you have TASTE. Never seen Dark but if you recommend it I sure as fuck will.
Unrelated, but your fashion is AMAZING!!!! OMLLLLL 😍😍Ellen your channel is just amazing!
thank you so much!!!! :)
okay imma try watch ALL of these.
so happy to see SKAM here! i love that show
I highly recommend My Mad Fat Diary. It's on Hulu and Jodie Comer is in it.
YAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSS
Great recs! Great taste
