Astrolancer reminds me of Blaster Master. Man I love it when games mix genres.
I would say,. ASTROLANCER appears to have nailed the sound design as well. It both sounds and looks like something I'd see during my early gaming years ...minus appearing licker in and out of existence. That was a big Nes staple lol
The currency change kinda killed steam for me, but I still love wishlisting all these indie games lol. Also great video as always.

@@WordUser @WordUser Steam removed national currencies of Argentina and Turkey; peso and lira (ıdk about other countries), because they were extremely unstable, and constantly abused by people that use stronger currencies like euro and dollar. So compered to past, games are VERY expensive now. I bought elden ring for 400 lira (around 20 dollars at the time) now it's 40 dollars/1200 something lira.
@@TempusTenebris ah, yeah i knew about that i thought they meant something more recent, that change does suck for the effected countries but i understand why steam had to do it, key resellers and people who use vpns to buy cheap games ruin it for everyone
@@WordUser Resellers will simply change the VPN to the next country with favorable prices, and will abuse it same way. What's next? Will we block every next country once a year? This ultimately hurts more real customers than game makers. Blocked countries now don't buy games at all.

Bzzzt - Challenge Chips - Good to see this one you previous recommended with an update, the platformer precision with a pixel robot looks solid.
Touhou - Hero of Ice Fairly - another one of these, they always look fun with bullet-hell boss-rush-down focus here. Precision and crazy movement both needed.
No Plan B - Tactical planner shooter with replay looks like it could be very rewarding either perfect timing and decision making or utter failure on video play.
Laysara: Summit Kingdom - aka city builder on a mountain. Another one previously covered and now in early access. Nice to see it's getting nearer to full launch.
Astrolancer - Throw back to happier times plus mixing genres! Looks incredible and looks like it plays incredibly also.

The Guardian Legend spiritual successor?!?!
I am a fan of touhou character interactions and relationships so i do own and have played hero of ice fairy. Cirno playing the hero while everyone around her is going along with it is pretty on point gotta say.
It is pretty fun as it's a right stick shooter while dodging with the shoulder buttons. It can get repetitive since it is a set amount of fights with re-fight challenges like taking no damage or win by not attacking (All phases are timed and doing damage just shortens the phases), and equipable badges that can make the fight either easier or harder by increasing one part while nerfing another (ex double your damage but you are 1.5x larger or 0.75% the size but half your damage)
pools needs jumpscares, i was waiting the whole trailer for one
I can see such a game being made, but liminal spaces are more about the location?

Those look amazing Rainbow Cotton is a must buy and also Touhou, and Astral Ascend, Forewarned is something I have expected some egyptian mythos based game I am still waiting for a hack n slash or beat em all game tho,

Actually, Pools appears to not be inspired by the Backrooms, but rather, by what served as inspiration for this whole liminal space craze. There were some of these artistic installations done by the artist Jared Pike that designed swimming halls like those in the game, being a big contributor to the whole liminal space movement.

Really wish this channel would stop showing 90% rouge lite crap in every video. Rouge lite games just scream "I can't create a compelling world or map design." There's plenty of indie games that have focus and style and real map design and fleshed out worlds.
