He's bowling was a bonus.He won lots of matches singlehandedly with the bat.But who can forget probably he's most important wicket at the 1996 world cup semifinals at Eden Gardens,when India was cruising to victory, he got the great Sachin who heading for a big score stumped down the leg side.That wicket changed the match, Sri lanka entered the finals and won the worldcup.
