    This small country Sri Lanka produced some great legends like Jayasuriya, Atapattu, Ranatunga, Aravinda De Silva, Chaminda Vaas, Kumar Sangakkara, Jayawardane, Dilshan, Roshan Mahanama, Romesh Kaluwitharana, Mutthaih Muralidharan, Rangana Herath and many more .... its just wowww.... and yes I am not a Sri Lankan but i watched them everytime when Srilanka played. Childhood memories refreshed ...

    When Sanath Jayasuriya is in the mood to hit 4's & 6's it's a feast for the eyes of even the fans of the opposite team. Such a graceful master blaster he really was. Had all his shots timed with power and perfection and not just by slog. He had a unique batting style and technique throughout his career.
    Probably the best aggressive and fearless batsman ever since Sir Vivian Richards.
    Much love and respect from India for making my childhood absolutely memorable...!! ❤🙏🏻

    This is exactly why I love the New Zealand team and the NZ audience....they appreciate the good show put up by Jayasuriya and I can also remember the NZ team applauding when Thisara Perera fought alone scoring 140 in a losing match....The Kiwis are true gentlemen and they got spirit of game...hence I truly wish they deserve a World Cup title under their belt...I really hope they win the Test Championship! My favorite team after my own team Sri Lanka

      Well, he contributed to the downfall as the chief selector. Made a lot of irrational and erratic decisions. I have great respect for Jayasuriya as a player, but he was never a good manager/selector.

      Neither Jayasuriya nor Arjuna Ranathunga did any good to Sri Lankan cricket since they became politicians, they became true politicians and did whatever to stay in power.
