- My first ride at the 18 Road trails in Fruita, Colorado. This is one of my favorites flow trails here - PBR - which stands for pumps, bumps, and rollers.
While here I camped out with my little brother on the BLM land it is a part of, which was super convenient for easy access; you can just wake up and roll out of the tent right onto a trail!
This was also my first time ever trying out my Glide Gear Gimbal, and I was super happy with the results!

Solid riding all the way through! Glad you didn't crash when you came upon the wild animal in the pink speedo at the end!
Was quite the rare spotting. Wasn't sure whether to tag this as a vid for mtb or nat geo lol
Hahaha
It's cool to watch through your older videos up to this one and you've come a long way. Keep the videos coming. Hats off for respecting the trails also.
Gotta respect those trails and the builders who pour their time and energy into them. I feel the same way - that this was the turning point right here.
Supreme choice of trail weapon and with that image stabilisation witch craft awesome !!!
Ahhh thanks dude, I absolutely love my Enduro 27.5; I just braap down the trail and that gimbal does all the heavy lifting! lol
100% better quality !!! Begins from here . 🙋♂️👍🇩🇪🇸🇪
Video looks amazing! Sweet riding!
Thanks Bermsky! This trail has some really well sculpted berms to rail :p
Great looking single track!
awesome ride dude another deep breath adventure....
You know it. Although not nearly as bad as Slick Rock lol
Super fun video. That trail looks like a blast.
thanks dude! it definitely was fun, but also pretty tough!!
What was the hardest part of the trail? I'm impressed with the long flowy type course. Grass is always greener I suppose.
So when I mentioned that I had "sessioned" a climb, I was referring to this one particularly brutal climb that took me a long time to clean because of how steep and technical it was. That was hands down the hardest part for me.
beard brother shredding it up!
You know it!!
stunning view. great riding. Greg
Thanks Greg, the views in Fruita are definitely impressive. I am back here to ride the Lunch Loops and am looking forward to some amazing vistas and more great riding.
I love that trail. I can do runs down PBR and Kessels all day long.
6 months ago I found your channel. Still kicking ass bro!
Isn't that crazy Tomas??!! Thanks for being here man, the stoke levels are high!!
Always pal!
Whats up from Portland, OR! Sweet vid man, got here from Seth's Bike Hacks and plenty of BK-XC Vids with you shreddin! Makes me want to get out and right so bad right now!
Yo what's uppppp Jared!! Get stoked and go ride homie! That's what it's all about. Super happy to hear that's your reaction to the video. I need to get my ass up there to the PNW next season for real.
I am stoked! Think I'm gonna rent a Stumpy this weekend and ride in the Mt. Hood area! Keep up the sweet stabilized vids!
Dang that will be awesome! I've always wanted to ride in the Hood.... Grip it and Rip it!!
Hello from Sweden!
Instant sub. Keep it up and I'll keep on watching :)
Yeaaaa buddy, welcome to the channel, and you better believe we're just getting started! I've got some pretty sick rides in editing right now, including a collab with BK-XC!!
+The Singletrack Sampler we are all loving the BK XC vids I'm really thinking of getting one these stabiliser gadget and upload my local rides just outside little ol London I think you might all be surprised !!!!!! What we have here!
Dude I am so curious of what trails in London would look like. I bet you have some pretty difficult terrain and some seriously sloppy trail rides in all the mud!
I just took Brian from BK-XC on a trip around Salida, CO, wait until you see the ride I took him on later this month in his videos, they were freaking epic.
Damn right it's muddy sometimes you take your glasses off and it's the only bit clean on ya . We have it all just a half hour train ride from central London , ranging from sharp down hill ' Aston Hill' redwood forest ' Woburn ' The Ridgeway which is relentless miles of climbs and descents all the way down to 'Stone Henge 'it's fantastic and we are never far from civilisation !
That is almost, to a few feet, exactly where I camped in 2014 and 2015! Did you have the use of a handmade rock fire ring about 4' across?
What was the critter crossing in front at 3:20 - when you said, "I don't want rut it out too bad?" It was bloody fast.
I’ve rode on that exact track, I live in Fruita Colorado
Wow it's so dramatic difference when you get a stabilised it becomes watchable it's nice not to have a mega death as well soundtrack. You should point all the subscribers to watch your first videos it's nice to reminisce so easy to leave the past in the past. And it be good to get the views I can't believe there's only 8600 views on this video.
This is one of my local trails and it’s very fun and flowy which I like but one of my friends that is newer to Biking went off trail hit a tree and broke a rib and I felt bad cause I told him that it’s a easier trail to learn on
I know this is an OLD video but I’m new to the gimbal game (EVO ss) and I’m curious are to what you ran and how you have it set up. Right now I’m wishing I had a GP hero 4 black and not a hero 5 session for the gimbal. Tips , do’s and don’t are very much appreciated. Paging Alex, Brian, Seth?????
nice video! looks like a good bit of fun.
Thanks dude, and welcome! It was a TON of fun. These trails have a really easy climb leading up to all this descending, so it's a perfect climb/reward ratio to do tons of laps on.
If you ever make your way to Santa Cruz, the flow trail would blow your mind! Thanks, for the welcome.
I've actually been there once before, but not with my bike :(
I have seen a video of that EPIC flow trail, and man would I love to rip that.
it was the first flow trail i have ever tried, i went up maybe 3 weeks ago? last week of august. like 3 or 4 miles of ups downs and every turn switchback/ 90 degree or 180 degree turn is burmed.
That's freaking dope, and I saw they are nice berms that you can really lean into as well.
Great video...Ill share on our FB page!!
Thanks, and great gimbal! I freaking love this thing. It has changed the way I get to share my passion with others.
A side by side video with and without the Scopio would be awesome. It would really showcase what a huge difference these gimbals make. I would send you more gear if you could help us with that.
hit me up bryan@glidegear.net
Beautiful trail, and sky, real clouds, no man made aluminum particle chemtrail clouds...
What is the secret to keeping the front wheel from kicking to the side on those rocks? More weight pushing the bars away, more pull pulling them in? More weight on front, more weight on back tire? I ask because I'd have crashed on almost all of those rocks at that speed.
Which rocks are you referring to? Because it depends if we are talking about going straight over some gnarly rocks vs cornering in a rocky section.
Just got another subscriber! Which gimbal are you using? I bought an extendeded life battery for my GoPro, which is a bit thicker. I know you said no case, but will a thicker GoPro fit the gimbal.
Sweet riding. I rode that trail on an Enduro 26er.
Hey Kris, the gimbal I have is called a Glide Gear Scopio. It works great, but I've been having some mechanical issues with it recently. I do think you may be able to get it to work with that as it comes with some longer screws to lock on the gopro that look like about the added width of a battery.
but I'm not positive :/
Also, welcome to the channel dude!!!
Thanks. BTW, I'm a dudette. lol
Hell yea! I call everyone dude, though, guy or gal. We're all mtb dudes ;)
what gimbal do you recommend for videos with the gopro
I use both the Glide Gear Scopio and the Feiyu Tech Wearable Gimbal. Both are great!
whats up with the guy at the end?
hahaha that was my little brother. He didn't have a bike, so he just hung out at the campsite and read
If you ever end up needing a new GoPro...the new Hero 5 Black is waterproof without a case and the lens is replaceable if you scratch it up. Obviously if you bin it too hard there's still a chance of breaking the camera but at least you have a better chance of fixing the new Hero 5 Black on that gimbal since a case is not an option. I'm betting the case makes the GoPro too heavy for the gimbal. Keep up the great content!
Yea dude for sure. I have to use it completely exposed to get it to work properly, and that GoPro 5 is looking super functional for the use. Also, voice control will be super helpful so that I can conserve battery as I ride.
I am too old school for voice control - lol I like to hit the button and hear it beep. The Hero 5 Black is a huge upgrade over the Hero 3 / 3+ lineup but the only thing I hate about it and the Hero 4 is having the battery latch at the bottom of the camera - the Hero 3 could just pop the back of the waterproof case and swap the battery - this you have to pull the camera out and the Hero 5 is way very tight and end up pressing against the lens to get the camera out which means you have to clean the lens before filming again. A minor fuss.
Just open pandora box ✌🏻️👍🏻
keep single track single, quit riding off the trail man!
Super disappointed to see the end where you completely ride off trail out of laziness. Maybe learn something about how damaging such actions are before you come mess up somebody's backyard with zero knowledge of the local ecology. It's actions like these that are decimating 18 Road.
spiritualspatula technically the whole idea of a mountain biking trail is damaging isn't it?
The whole 18 Rd area has gone to cheat grass, that purplish coarse grass that leaves thorny seeds in the socks and is too painful for cattle to eat. It is very tough, trampling and rolling over it will not damage what would be better off destroyed. It is an invasive species.
Take your pill and go back to sleep spiritwhatever
