landing your sons as your vassals really helps, since if the ones that aren't your primary heirs get lands, then they won't take lands from your personal holdings if they have enough lands to legally fulfill their entitled inheritance.
Dr0g basically if you’re a king give them a duchy and if you’re a duke give them a county.

It's better to embrace partition: find 6+ slots county, fill it with castles, fill them with levy buildings, build royal armoury dutchy building - you will never lose baronies in succession. Then grab money making county with special building, like holy site, and build moneyz there. Now you only need to care for two counties. Then go for wide dynasty with Kin and Polygamy religion, so you will get loads of Renown and dynasty vasals. Even if you have to reclaim money county, it's easier - no levy there. The only problem I have is succession laws exploit - AI can turn it in uber exploit by ignoring requirements, they ignore crown authority for sure.

@@maciekr4641 That's exactly what I do. You have to embrace it, you cannot fight it. Kingdom management is key and having an extremely powerful capital is key to success.

Tommy, if you start with cagliari of sardinia or make cagliari be your capital it will more easier to achieve empire... Cause in mosque/Church of cagliari has Mine, in 1100's you can get around 15 gold/month from the mosque and counties of cagliari😂
Or from count with stewardship lifestyle, claim liege duchy then claim your kingdom liege then to empire, if you dont have any liege then swear fealty then claim his/her title👌

10:20 from when I’ve been playing I’ve noticed that Europe countries have a thing for trying to capture small states in scandanvia and then it triggers Viking AI to just starting attacking and taking what they can
I tried to make the roman empire starting as a count too, i decided to start as the count of Vienna. I didnt end up doing it because my vassals kept on killing me and i couldn't do anything about it, but i ended up with half of france, half of italy, all of modern day austria + a good amount of hungary. (I got tonnes of liberty wars but didnt notice thats what they were so the same thing happened to me as what you had in 24:22, that combined with me getting pissed at that and trying to rearrange the country so that wouldnt be the thing made me insanely weak. I basically became like Tommy at 25:08 but the AI all stuck together so it was like 6k vs 14k so i died)
I have got the achievement because i North Koread it with West Francia, ended up restoring it after 98 years.
I wasnt planning on doing the north korea but vassals really like to do liberty wars and its really annoying, and personally the frequency of liberty wars and them pushing your crappy siblings claims is just too often, thats why i ended up going for that achievement North Korea style.

Try to maximize dread at all times. Seems like there is no downsides so execute a religious prisoner every 3 ingame months and you should be good if you keep it around 100

one thing i like to do to play around the partician law once you die. i like to make sure my sons arnt trained warriors, use them in an army while in a war and send them in to lose the battle. if you lose a battle you have a greater chance they get hurt in a battle and maybe even die. to give them higher chance chance to die i make sure to also not get a court physician.
ofcource this isnt fool proof but so far it has worked half of the time for me.

Heres a trick: fabricate hooks on you vassals, and then use the feydal contracts. They add up super fast

The most enjoyable way to play ck2 and ck2 is playing with friends. 1 person becomes the leader of everyone, and if you work together, and get everyone stronger, the other vassals will never even get close to having enough to revolt.
Who would've thought, they actually made managing your vassals difficult and important.

The Vikings having Kingdom's seemingly all over the place makes total sense. That's what happened to historically. In our timeline the Viking Concord Normandy Brittany and southern Italy. And I think there were some other minor conquests all the way in the near east. I see it a good thing that the Vikings in-game do as they did historically, but with a little variation. It would be predictable and therefore boring if they always took Normandy and Apulia.

Started as a one county desert place became Empire of Ajuraan owning Outer and Inner Ajuraan in East Africa neighbor kingdom Adal declares war on me with like double troops, I surrender, become Vassal, Challenge him to fight, beat him, become ruler of all three to expand my empire. Then I realized how long it would take me to get tech and go fuedal because I didn't choose an already coptic fuedal african leader in the area and went tribal.

tommy when my king dies and the land is spilt into countys in your realm its better to claim the province and then take it from them and if there comes a war out of it even better when you win take the land and then negeotiate realese with the person by making them renounce their claims
