I dont speak the language but I'll assume the title is just ABYSS.
When I saw the title I thought it might be a remake. This happens a lot when you're searching online for a movie and then find out that there are multiple movies with the same name. This does look good thou.
Makes sense. First The Wave, then The Quake, now The Abyss. Perhaps I should start writing The Fire, or The Lava.

The Magma…🤣💪✌️. The original Book and Movie with the same title ,only not an abysmal failure like this will be, we’re both amazing and thought provoking and to my 12 yr old mind at the time awe inspiring. Learning what they endured to film it and the low key way they didn’t talk about it just made me feel privileged to have seen the movie and read the book multiple times and they differ somewhat but both are amazing and that’s saying a lot. That book wow. That book.

This is actually based on a true possibility. They actually currently moving Kiruna a fem miles, because of the possibility of the mine shafts under the city can collapse.
Somewhere there is a totally SHOCKING video of a salt mine under a lake sucking the lake down after it was holed. There was an honest to life maelstrom sucking down large barges. And it went on and on. A mere town collapsing is nothing much.

@@SIX6SIXer possible true video rendered in 4 k unreal 5 and digitally enhanced by the latest NASA tech because raw, unprocessed pictures, not run through a filter and captured digitally is too much for anyone to view and understand , because reasons, reasons and reasons….. there was a thing we used to do where we made a bright flash from some chemical interactions and this would capture and show us the image at the moment the reaction occurred and we could see what we could see. Now we get shown what they want us to see or hear. Remember Klamath lake and the super blue green algae?? What about the really toxic train that derailed last year and was contaminating everything in two towns ??? Oh y’all must’ve forgot when Google Earth showed actual satellite pics of Earth from a couple hundred miles out and it looked like a discarded partially eaten apple core where the land masses were not as highlighted the blue looked not round and not smooth and it was freaking crazy vertigo inducing photography that you can not find online now. No picture of space is online that hasn’t been digitally rendered. I promise. I’ve been asking for years. GS 12’s at Stennis in Mississippi stopped looking so they didn’t get fired. This is a new movie about a real place in Sweden. They move the city because they have worked under the grown for years and it is not safe to live there anymore. Houses have start to show damage and the ground start to be unsafe.
Should of named it a dfiifernt title. Confusing. Thought itw as a remake lol

Interesting that Icelandic fishing port of Grindavik is dealing with chasms caused by mid Atlantic ridge spreading and volcanic activity at this time. The entire town is being impacted by earthquakes and subsidence.

I felt like I was there while watching The Abby, a must-see movie.
i laughed at the first kid. He only dig with freaking teeny tiny 'spoon' and then this earthquake thing make a small mini hole so the kid can sink in it. Comedy of the year!
Yeah this is honestly horrible lol. I got 40 mins in and had to pause and realize how fucking stupid and terrible the writing is.

I would watch it. Not for the cheesy and low-budget special effects but I want to see what happens to the kid digging in his backyard!

Except The Abyss is just it's English name, they don't necessaily dictate what the title of their production is translated to outside of the region it's produced in and for.
Also can't own a title if it is a common word. There are lots of works with the same title.
I'm pretty sure copyright law doesn't apply to titles like this one.

Looks good. But isn’t there a copyright conflict? We already have a James Cameron movie called “the abyss”
there are multiple movies/shows by the same name I'm pretty sure.
The avengers for instance was a 1998 movie starring Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman and based on the 1960s television show. Then there was the avengers the MCU released by the same name. That's just one example.
They probably forgot.
Titles cannot be copyrwritten. Logos can be trademarked, though.
Common phrases can not be copy righted. :)
There have been at least 4 movies/shows called "Prey" in the last 10 years alone. It happens ... it's somewhat silly that they don't try to avoid it, but there is nothing you can do about it. There are only so many apt words in a language and we would run of titles very quickly if they were allowed to use every single one only once.

The town in this film, Kiruna, in Sweden, is a real town that is really sinking due to the old mines under it. For many years, they have been moving the whole town to get away from the danger...
