    Been watching your dad's videos for a while i too work for my father and we work with the wooden float and long joint cutter as evan does. I've learned a lot watching your videos and like how your doing your side jobs specially after work. Nice man you and your dad are amazing

    Wish I could spend a couple jobs working with you learning hands on concrete work. Need to do some concrete work here soon. Just adding on to another section of patio. Over that planning to do some kind of tile. Thinking maybe travertine tile. This is for a friend.

    Should you drill rods in the side wall to keep the cement in place along the wall? I worry about settling and cracking along an existing wall.

    Great video. I'm looking to pour a slab for a hot tub in my back yard similar to the job in the video. Should I have a gap between the new slab and house foundation? I like it central Florida so no freezing, just hot and humid with a lot of rain. Thank you for the good content.

    Hey guys great job. A couple of questions.
    Any new rebar attached to existing concrete to connect with new concrete?
    Was a foam strip not necessary up against the house since the new concrete was poured between house and railroad ties? Just asking based on what I've seen in your other videos.

    Great job bro! I want to do something similar but the side of my house is grass, I also want to redo my patio, it’s all concrete but one slab is sinking and the rest is uneven and cracking. All your videos have great tips and I’m building up some confidence to do it my self ( I didn’t concrete work in college 9 years ago) what tools should I grab to start and what other equipment do you recommend? Thanks in advance

    Can you tell me for a cold state of Wisconsin what I could use between our foundation to our already poured concrete pad for our hot tub. We do have a 3-4 foot roof overhang. I want to create a 3' x 6' area. My question is the cement would touch the cement brick foundation. I want something in between. I noticed you didn't use anything. Thoughts? Thank you!     I have to do a about 65x6 feet long sidewalk. Would you do one slope from front to back or you would recommend to raise it from the center and slope it both front and back?     I am going to be doing a small pad 4x12 for a shed in the spring against an attached garage. I thought an expansion joint was needed if you are going up against an existing structure. Is ths not the case? Thanks.

    hey if you guys are ever bored feel free to come over to my house in Syracuse NY. I need a 1 car garage floor redo. It has a 6" drop from the center to the wall. real PIA to use tools like a table saw when you have to prop 1 side up all the time.

      4” will be plenty thick enough if you have thick enough sub-base and compact it properly. 5-6 would be over engineered but if it’s within budget go ahead. It would probably be smart to use wire mesh too if you are worried about it lasting.
