      Actually I went to work in a Kibbutzim in Israel back in the 80's and found, at least back then, Tel Aviv very similar to Barranquilla. Green avenues, lots of trees, the size of the streets. I was amazed!

    Excellent content 4 sure 🙂👍🏾, I'm from the " I rather have the information and not need it, and need it and don't have it", generation 👌🏾 What I'm getting at is when selecting for a location, how close or far is a clinic, a hospital,a pharmacy. An emergency is still an emergency, 24/7

    • @TheGlobalProfessional
      @TheGlobalProfessional  Před 3 lety +1

      Great topic for a video. Basically, You’re usually 10-15 minutes away from a clinic or hospital by cab. Even closer if you live in Villa Santos or Alto Prado.

      Thanks! My favorite Gym is BodyTech. They are really nice and have yoga classes. I have a video where I interview one of the personal trainers at Spinning Center, which is also nice. Barranquilla has many small crossfit studios as well. So I recommend visiting a few gyms and finding the right fit for you! :)

      Since you'll be there for a few weeks, I suggest you link up with some local fitness influencers.
      Barranquilla is a small city and it's easy to connect with influential people. I checked out your Instagram and you could get a huge following in Colombia with some collabs. You could probably get free memberships as well.
      Colombia is truly a 6 degrees of separation kind of country. 💪🏾

    I like this explanation only one I found on Barranquilla with a map. I heard about the american business man killed in Las Palmas. Is that the area to avoid?

    • @TheGlobalProfessional
      @TheGlobalProfessional  Před rokem

      Yes, I would avoid that area. The North is definitely a better option for travelers.

    Are there blackouts/power outages in Barranquilla? What about good internet with fiber optics?

    • @TheGlobalProfessional
      @TheGlobalProfessional  Před 2 lety

      Yes. There are many blackouts, but usually they only last a few hours. I have had hours long internet outages. But with a little battery backup, I was always able to work. I used my phone as back up wifi.

    • @TheGlobalProfessional

    • @TheGlobalProfessional
      @TheGlobalProfessional  Před 2 lety

      Student Visas are the easiest way to get a longer term visa.
      I was ok walking around at night. But most people don't walk around at night, so you might look suspicious.

      I like Barranquilla because of it's location. It's really close to Cartagena and Santa Marta. There are many modern amenities, it's easy to get around via the newly remodeled airport and I love the Caribbean weather. I made a video about it!

      @@TheGlobalProfessional How would you compare the level of pollution and the weather (,humidity and heat) with the other cities and places in Central America? Are all the coastal cities the same as Miami in the summer but more months, heavy humidity and heat? The other side is nice weather in higher altitude but issues of oxygen, especially possibly for older folks.

    • @TheGlobalProfessional
      @TheGlobalProfessional  Před rokem

      Good question. I would say there's a regional impact. All the Caribbean beach cities that I have been to are hot and humid.
