This video was intense! Time stamps in the description. Since I couldn’t include everything, make sure you check out my website for more details: smarthomesolver.com/reviews/best-smart-doorbell
Which smart doorbell do you use?
You need to do home security cameras next.
Smart Home Solver I clicked on your video to learn about camera doorbells, not to hear threats of killing people. I’m very appalled. You should be ashamed of yourself
thnx man for this video, and i liked the threats though
Is the EUFY only hardwired in?
Excellent video. I have the Eufy hardwire doorbell and have been pretty satisfied with it. Looks like you reviewed their newer battery doorbell. Their hardwired doorbell does have HDR capabilities.
The fact that you censored “Alexa” in the intro is under appreciated. You don’t know how many times this thing falsely picks up commands lol
Have you ever had a private conversation about your health issues, financial worries, emotional problems or family situations at home?
- the correct answer is no. you have not.
This is how a review video should be made.. It is hard work, but that helps so many people.
Insane amount of work on this one, well done!
Thanks, Ben! I appreciate you watching it.
Thanks for this. I can appreciate how long this would have taken to make.
Thanks! Yeah it was a lot of work but I wanted to paint the full picture.
this review is outstanding. finally someone who understands pace ! everything moves fast but the content full explanations are well timed. last but not least he ditched the time consuming box opening. who wants to watch someone open packages? just communicate pertinent facts. this guy should teach others how to create videos. he is amazing.
The Mother of all Reviews! WOW! Thank you so much for the hard work. It must have taken days!
I’m in the process of picking out a video doorbell. This helped immensely. Love the vids👊👊!
Thanks Tyler! That's great to hear!
Tyler Booth
Which one did you pick?
Kevin Probably the Nest.
Tyler Booth
Great choice
@@tylerbooth6824 I had both the Ring 2 and the nest hello, and the nest hello is the better buy.
This was incredibly helpful! Thank you so much for going through all of the effort and testing every aspect of each doorbell! It seriously helps me to choose a system that I can actually understand and makes sense. Seriously, THANK YOU SO MUCH
Broooo your channel grew awesome man I been watching u for a while now and it's nice to see CZcams working in your favor bro 🔥🔥🔥
Nice video Reed. This was a great overview. Definitely a lot of work researching, filming an editing. Done like a Pro! Keep up the great work!
Thanks I really appreciate you saying that!
Love these vids. Great for making my smart home.
I’m glad to hear that! thanks for the support!
This is the perfect tech review: detailed, critical, and to the point.
Well done. Appreciate the thoroughness in having many different products!
Glad it was helpful!
I am going to be using an Amcrest soon. Went that direction as it works with Blue Iris. I'm hoping to integrate it into my smart home as well. Thanks for the great videos! 👍
I have the Amcrest also. I have 12 other cameras in there. To have something that couldn't record to it was a deal breaker for me.
Excellent, thank you. The time spent on this is inconceivable!
As a UPS driver, I hear people say "Thank you" but the audio cuts out and by the time they say anything I already left but I hear it by the time I get in the truck. It's really awkward. I wouldn't try to use audio in these, it seems really delayed.
At least they are loud. Lol. Thanks for your work.
I work for amazon. I agree
I love how no animals were harmed during the making of this video! Good job 👍
I come back to this everytime I need a refresher on doorbells, hands down one of the best videos I've come across explaining the differences and benefits of each. Thank you.
Wow, thanks! I appreciate that!
Most comprehensive and really well produced, explained and edited video I have seen in CZcams. Thanks!
Wow, thanks!
I have the Eufy battery version and a extra camera (also battery) on the side of the house. Works great, live feed, face detection and long battery life.
Thanks for the hard work. I always wanted to see a comprehensive comparo videos of all the popular door bell. Coming from the Nest video doorbell, I hate the Ring Pro that I have in the new home. I was about to make the switch and really wanted to check out other offerings as well. Thanks again for doing this!
Awesome, thanks for your support! Nest Hello is definitely great.
Thank you for all the testing on these, this video was very helpful to get the scoop on some in-depth reviews for quite a few options. I appreciate you :)
This is one of the best videos of all times I love that at the end that was adorable, That was some good information you put out chief
I've had a nest hello for about a year now and I absolutely love it. It works so well with my Google Home devices
I’ve had my nest hello for 6 months and it works flawless with all my google home devices and iOS devices.
With you taking the time and all the research and information is very much appreciated, especially about the local storage. Thank you so much!
Super helpful. Looking to get a video doorbell for my grandparents who don't find it as easy to get to the door these days. It certainly seems like the Nest Hello is the most user friendly in terms of them being able to speak to whoever's at the door. Having to click a notification would be too much, but an automatic feed, such as to a Nest Hub, seems perfect!
5:40 Hey man, I gotta tell you...If this thing was jumping around outside my front door, I'd want to know about it.
As he said, it didn't notify him because he set motion detection to "human only".
If you wanted to get a notification for everything you can set it up as shown in 5:27, by clicking on "all motion" :)
This made me spit out my drink 😂
Great video. I have had the EUFY wireless doorbell, a regular wireless security camera, the wired spotlight camera, and a door sensor on my garage. They all work great. So simple to set up. No subscription fees required.
Can i know who is by my dooor when im far away from the house pls?
This video is the most helpful thing I’ve seen all week lol
Who would have thought that we would reach a day in which choosing a doorbell was such a decision-making process. I very very much appreciated your video and have since become a subscriber! Thanks again.
Great videos and very interesting. I love your channel, greetings from Spain ✌🏻🇪🇸
Thanks Jorge! Stay safe over there in Spain!
I appreciate this sooo much. Ill be moving into my first home soon🤞🏾🤞🏾
Congrats! I also got my first home and am in that same boat right now :)

Very high quality, in-depth review. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I was totally ignorant of how these video doorbells work. Since my brother installed one for Mom, I realized this would be very useful for me.
THANK YOU. so much for educating us on features, cost, deficiencies, etc....you have saved me a lot of money. I value your effort, time and unselfishness to educate us. You are such an awesome teacher!
Considering upgrading to a smart home but really clueless as to the best options. Thanks for the hard work putting this together:
I was pretty close to settling on the Eufy - Smart Wi-Fi 2K Video Doorbell. Your video helped me make the final decision. Good job brah and thanks
@@hemnamusunur6088 Video Doorbell 2K wired it in so I dont change batteries
I was pretty much ready to pull the trigger on the Eufy with the base station. Your review confirmed it. Thanks. Well done!
This video was on time. Am looking for a doorbell and been doing some research. Was leaning towards Eufy and this video cemented that. Great job, thank you!
That's great to hear!
"I wonder what my neighbours think I'm doing"
Neighbour: "That guy next door is acting weird again..."
🤣😂🤣😂
And THIS is how you review a product or set of products! This clearly took you a lot of work and a long time to create, so thank you. Quite informative.
I completely agree!
I was looking for this exact video a couple weeks ago. Reliable information on these is hard to find. Great video, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Great Review!! I like how honest and unbiased you are. Keep it up!!!!
Loved the Princes bride reference, that was my favorite quote growing up
This video was VERY well executed & I appreciate the integrity as well. I'm curious if you are planning on reviewing the new Wyze doorbell sometime in the near future? It looks like the Eufy doorbell is still the king.
This video is INVALUABLE! THANK YOU for everything you put into this video
Thank you so much for all the work you put into this video. It is a tremendous help to all of us who are looking to purchase a smart doorbell.
Very useful. I'm using Nest Hello since 2 years and I'm glad it is still competitive.
The end bit was so cute 😂❤️❤️
Weird
This is the second home in which czcams.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU we've replaced our "regular" doorbell with a Ring video doorbell and we really enjoy it. It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).
I was thinking about the Nest Hello this coming Black Friday and I think this sold it to me properly. Thanks for another great comparison! 👍🏻
Hands down one of the best videos for doorbell camera reviews!
Thanks for the video
Haha! Love the 'Princess Bride' reference!
Nice video. I'm invested in the nest and overall Google eco system.
Thanks! The Google system works really well together and I think it will get even better when they allow some 3rd party integrations. Solid choice.
Thank you!!! Not only are your videos DA BOMB, you also just made me laugh out loud for the first time in days with your "troubleshooting" of the Arlo camera, the last step where you verbally threatened the camera.... Thank you for you doing tech videos with a sense of humor!!!!!.
Great reviews and the ending was adorable!
I think a lot of some of the issues you might have faced in some cameras have to do with network speeds both cellular and WiFi. I agree monthly subscriptions has got to go! I hope Eufy can include HomeKit secure video in the battery powered one!
I'd really love for a Gen 2 on the Nest Hello and I keep tweeting at Nest to push them as I'm sure people would love an updated version as well. I'd gladly pay more for 1080p with HDR. The 24/7 recording is what is the winner for me. Hands down.
Thanks for the video.
Yes that would be great! Nest Hello is a few years old so maybe an updated version will come soon? Thanks for watching and commenting.
Instant subscribe. You got to the point, weren't hesitant about mentioning the cons. Good stuff.
OUTSTANDING video. Getting a new house built and you made my choice MUCH EASIER. Keep up the great work
Thank you for this review & compilation, very helpful.
I am heavily invested into the Amazon ecosystem and was wondering how did you make Ring Doorbell Pro give you a live feed on the Echo Show? I have Echo Show 8 & Ring Doorbell Pro. Have you done a video on this feature too?
Thanks again!
I have had the Eufy for over six months now and it's great, there are zero downsides in my opinion. I have two Nest Outdoor security cams and while they're great for what they do, I hate the fact that they have to be dedicated hardwired and the monthly subscription fee is a must. Hopefully Eufy will come out with a rival outdoor security camera and I'll just sell the Nest cams.
Did you ever get the new Eufy outdoor security cameras?
@@Apollo_GodMode No, I only have the original doorbell camera
I've been looking pretty seriously at the Eufy models and I think that's what I'm leaning towards. It's great to see a video comparing several options so thanks for that.. I have been binge watching your channel for the past couple of weeks and really enjoying your content.
Thank you so much I appreciate it!
Real solid work. Everything i was needing to know.
Thank you for the comparisons, I have Alexa and Google ecosystems in my house. Eufy seems like the best choice based off of this.
I'm glad to hear it was helpful!
Went with Eufy and never turned back. FYI: Eufy is owned by Anker who makes excellent hardware like batteries and phone accessories. Even their wireless earbuds last for 2 days and are great. Would recommend them.
Sold all my Amazon ring crap and went all in with eufy never looked back.
This video was awesome and you did a perfect job of comparing them all. Definitely interested in getting the Eufy with all their features and no fees! One question, does the Eufy support continuous 24/7 playback with their local storage or just only when someone rings the doorbell? Or is that only on the Nest?
Thanks Scott! Eufy doesn’t support 24/7 recording right now. it seems like that they are aware of people wanting that and possibly working on that feature from what it says on their website. I know they are planning on having expandable storage on the base station so hopefully some updates will make the Eufy even better. Right now Nest is doing a great job with it though.
Thank you for making the time to make this video.!!!
This help a lot of people and I am.
Glad it was helpful!
Thats how review should be done, appreciate your hard work 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you! I'm looking for a doorbell and I was curious about eufy.
Paying a monthly fee for a doorbell is such a bad thing. I would always buy one that gives the option to save footage locally.
It's definitely nice to limit the monthly fees wherever possible.
Yes, I avoid monthly fees whenever possible.
The nice thing about Ring though is that they offer an alarm system with professional monitoring for only $100 per year (by far the cheapest), which can be offset by the discount you get on your home insurance. And the professional monitoring subscription includes recording for an unlimited number of cameras. So if you were already going to get the alarm, there’s no extra cost if you get a Ring Doorbell and want recording.
While I agreed with this sentiment at first, the monthly fee is basically a convenience and features fee. We have a Ring Pro and for the $30/year, I get 24/7 recording, a pretty nicely made app and a great "rapid ring" companion app that just launches you straight into live view of the camera. I get notifications and am looking at live view before a person reaches my door and it's been rock solid reliable and fast with notifications. Image and recording quality could be better but the other features and reliability are more important to me personally.
Eufy are the only company that I know of who do local storage and no cloud subscription needed. I haven't used their doorbell but Life hackster's channel last year indicated that the doorbell stops recording if you activate 2 way talk. I hope this has been fixed but haven't read up on it. I have the Eufy 2k pan and tilt indoor cam and it's been fantastic and significantly cheaper than Arlo/Nest/Ring indoor cams.
I'm going to make a smart hose and charge a monthly fee. Makes just as much sense.
this review is very organized and to the point, just what i needed
Wow you split the video up by product section. 10/10!
I debated multiple options on how to do this video so I'm glad to hear that!
@@SmartHomeSolver it's much easier to use than time stamps for sure. Much appreciated!
I’ve made my choice (Ring) a long time ago. I just watch these vids for automation tips and various insight on other stuff.
Glad you've got Ring, it's a great choice! I'll keep sharing automation tips and ideas, these videos just help those who are still figuring out what to buy.
Really good video, such much info. thank you and well done.
I'm an older guy and been watching CZcams since it started. I don't subscribe though. You are my 3rd subscription ever.
Thank you for the honest review. Not some sales pitch like most reviews where the product is always a gift from god.
Keep up the good work.
Amazing work Reed! I have the Nest Hello doorbell and I am very pleased with it only downside is the cloud storage fees. Love your dedication to Smart Home and helping others.
Thanks Ryan! Yeah the Nest Hello is a solid doorbell.
Eufy seems best for me, thanks for the hard work Reed!
Eufy is a great choice and I'm glad to hear you found the video helpful!
Super helpful video. I hadn't even heard of Eufy until this video and seems like it might be the one to pick. Thanks for the vid!
Thanks, I'm glad it was helpful!
Excellent Video... Thank you for your Hard work on this. I feel so comfortable in buying the EUFY doorbell, after watching your video. I think this is the best route to go. Thank you again.
Thanks Eddie!
I just installed my eufy doorbell camera and it's amazing good quality no fees like you said it's the best option. Good video👍
Great to hear! Thanks!
Wyze is working on one; so I’m excited for that
I'm excited too!
I'm going with Wyze in January. Way cheaper and does everything the others do.
Insane amount of work, bravo man seriously thank god that we have this kinde of people i salute you.
I just installed the nest doorbell and I love it. The 24/7 recording is what sold me on it. I've had a motion system around my home for a few years now and it often missed or didn't record enough footage. I'll be upgrading my entire system to nest over the next few months.
That is awesome! Once you try out the 24/7 it is really nice compared to motion alerts.
I’m trying to start a new smart home, and I love this for checking the difference, and getting opinions. However, I know that a year is a long time in tech, and I wondered if you would still choose the Eufy today? And does it now work with Alexa?
Go for Eufy, way more faster than Ring that I used for 2years.
@@jcai922 does Eufy require hard wiring? We don't have an existing doorbell.
@@gsollosi get the battery powered version.
Eufy integrates with HomeKit now, so it also has face detection in iOS 14.
Great Video! thanks so much for doing all the foot work for us!! :)
Fantastic, comprehensive review. Nice!
I love my Eufy doorbell. Heck I'm thinking about getting their cameras too. I just wish they had a 2k/4k camera option.
Eufy indoor cam 2K is available and they also have a 2k pan and tilt camera coming out soon.
Definitely recommend this stuff. I was a kickstarter backer for the cameras and they’ve been working great since. And they constantly update the camera with new features too. The only thing that bothers me is the newer base station doesn’t have a battery in it for power outages.
Is the Eufy doorbell battery operated? I thought I heard him say that. I rent and don’t want to wire anything. There are no existing wires.
Hey Zeus Eufy offers both a wired and a battery powered doorbell.
@@VictoriaG02 Yeah I'm waiting for a 2k/4k spotlight camera first.
Following cause of the princess bride quote.
Great video thanks dude! saved me a bunch of time.
Great video! I am shopping for a doorbell, this helped out a lot!
This is a great reveiw however the inclusion of the wired eufy would've been nice, even if unfair to competitors. Anyone know of an in-depth comparison of the wired vs wireless eufy?
Lifehackster does amazing comparison videos
I like smart technology.. Thanks Sir.. 😍
I appreciate it!
This was a great review! Thank you!
I appreciate your time and effort for this video.
Yep, Eufy wired for the win here. I just installed mine and it is fantastic!! Extra monthly fees SUCK!!!
Do you know if you can add more security cameras ,like for the back and side of the house?
If you're in a movie theater. Probably won't hear the notification of a break in. Monitoring companies. Will actually send someone to your home. And call the police on your behalf. If necessary.
I wish you had received the Eufy Wired version
I sold my Ring Pro and will buy the Eufy Wired
Hope the wired gets HomeKit them it will be the best!!!
Not talked about in this video, but the Eufy wireless can also be hardwired, which will keep the battery topped up. Honestly no reason as a result to buy the wired version.
I waited for this video on your channel for a long time and fortunately I ordered a camera this week which corresponds to the best of your choice, always a pleasure to watch you, it is clear, well explained and very worked, thank you for us , long life to you
That's great to hear Audy! I'm glad to hear you liked it!
Which one did you go with?
Great video ! Thank you for helping me choosing
I have a question, what keeps someone from snatching a doorbell off your porch wall?
Is the doorbell software specific to you and someone else can’t reset it and reuse it or something?
I ask bc people will steal a package no knowing if anything of value is inside why wouldn’t they take that shiny 200-300 dollar doorbell thingy.
Most of the vendors reviewed offer some sort of replacement warranty if the doorbell is stolen.
