Rachel's Young Lions Jazz Conservatory Audition for school year 24-25

Rachel's uncle ‪@AdamMichaelson‬ helped her record these songs. These are live recordings with no enhancements to her vocals, no autotune or edits. Just a nice mix and great equipment. Adam accompanied her on Round Midnight and created the track for Cheek to Cheek. The backing tracks for the scat assignments were taken directly from the original audio.
These are the audition requirements:
Memorize and sing the following jazz standard in your key of choice with lyrics: Cheek to Cheek
○ Once through the melody, 1 choruses of scat solo, melody once out
○ Metronome or play-along backing tracks okay (not provided).
● Memorize and sing this ballad in your key of choice with lyrics: Round Midnight
○ Play through the melody once, solo for a chorus, melody (or bridge) once out
○ Metronome or play-along backing tracks okay (not provided).
● Transcription: Sing through the entirety or most of one of the following vocal solos along to the
record. If you want to transcribe both, great!
