- Part 1 of my Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Walkthrough for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, and whatever other consoles this game is on.
This part is basically just the introduction to the game; learning your first few spells and a few cinematics for your viewing pleasure
Also, sorry guys for the lack of a voice over, but from the comments in my last walkthrough, this shouldn't be a problem ;) - Hry

When I played this as a kid though, it was simply amazing. :)
They're really stiff. Everyone looks like they have a pole up their backside.
Balthier Ivalice Yeah, I know. But still, I played this about 6 years ago, and never really noticed any of that stuff. The game was quite amazing for me XD

Sirius is the best, he is teaching how destroy a room lol
This game is the only Harry Potter game that features Dudley! And to hear Harry Melling's voice totaly makes it complete!
i love this game. have it for ps2 and i still play it. beaten it like 10 times.

Yeah, It mentions it in the Half Blood Prince (The Book). Thats why they blamed Harry when Dobby cast magic in the Chamber of Secrets. They expect Parents to enforce rules upon their kids...
They knew Harry did it this time because there are no other magical people living in that household.

haha, the arms when doing 'Reparo' are so funny. Dunno why, They just are.
I am going to start again and follow your walkthrough because although i've gotten so far i seemed to have missed something which i don't know what i've missed and theres no hints or end of day etc x.x

@Conor2694 Depends which platform you played it on. I played the first game on both the Gamecube and PC and they are completely different games.

@Kuribohdeckuploader no. Flippendo is learnt in year 1 and is a combat spell. As Sirius says "Depulso" is used for moving things when not in combat, thus, 2 different spells, ss.

You can use this walkthrough to get through any of the games. They might be graphically different, but story and puzzles might be the same.

@camerond666 All the actors for the main characters used their voices but for Harry and Hermione in this game, Daniel and Emma didn't do it. They used different actors.

I liked it alot better when you talked. It helped explain things a bit better. If you do a Deathly Hallows walkthrough, please talk. I think the talking made it more interesting to watch, and I happened to understand more things about the game.
@demonnogo I want to build a fighting game but it works in such a way that you have different divisions: European, North American, and the Asian division and it'll be a wizard dueling game which would be interesting because each division has a different way of dueling so it'll always be different.
I might get this because ive finished the half blood prince so im seeing how this is!

@demonnogo Yeh but at least the spells and story were partially in tact and it's a game so there needs to be slight modifications like adding side quests (such as exploring these dungeons to fight these monsters) however in the newer games, they completely disregard all of the previous gaming history now I understand that they need to show the player how to cast the spells BUT i think in the box, they should include a guide in the shape of a spell book. I should remake the games.
@VideoGameWalk Spell challenges were actually fun to play because they didn't butcher the personality traits of the character. Ms Weasly was very precise and serious when it came to cleaning and making sure everything was in pristine condition and carelessly tossing shit around the room butchers one of the main traits of Ms Weasly. Happy Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was THE best game in the series.

@TheGodfather9876 You have to think of it as an abridged version of the movie. It's more annoying to have to wait to play the game, then jumping through scenes. Especially when you can't fast froward through cut-scenes.

I'm pretty sure in magical households you are allowed to use magic because there is already a magical signature there...but I could be wrong about that.

They transformed Sirius from a quiet, hollow and brooding man, fed up with the role Dumbledore gave him, to a jolly, camp, flamboyantly wand-waving entertainer who looks like he loves nothing more than being at 12 Grimmauld Place! "LET'S GO FIND THEM!" "HERE, LET US HELP YOU!" and, best of all, "EXCELLENT! Come on Hermione, let's give this place a spring clean!" Laaav it!

You know, it kind of sucked when Sirius Black died in the 5th novel, I was crying when I read that in the book and I am guy and usually don't cry when I read books but that was an exception. Sirius and Harry could have been a good family just like he promised when he was cleared of his charges against him. I could imagined Harry learning some cool spells and charms from Sirius when he is older to become an Auror.
why is harry reading the newspaper when in the movie his just bored while siting on the swingset until dudley and his friends arrive and make fun of harry

tbh i think the games would've been a lot more successful if they were based more on the books other than the movies.
Like I just bought the first three for PC off Amazon, and they have a lot more stuff in them.
For example, in the first game, you had to go through a load of challenges to get to Hagrid's Hut and The Greenhouses.
@AShokwaveProduction I'm 15 unemployed and I also plan on being a video game designer. It's a pretty tough industry but I'm willing to never give up. I also have this brilliant idea for a game and I hope that I will one day develop it.

What happened to the good old "Swish and Flick", now Widgodium Leviosa looks more like an attack!
I think this is one of the best HP games, but my favorite is Prizoner of Azkaban

I actually really enjoyed the game. Perfect Hogwarts, even better when you get to number six. The fifth movie was great but would have been better if they had just added in the Weasly is our King scene! Otherwise, it was fairly accurate and in no way bored me.
I love that line that Sirius says. "Danger to the Wizarding community? It was self defense!"
Anyway, how is this game? I have a PS2, and I love both Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban, but Goblet of Fire was a disappointment. Is this game more like CoS and PoA or GoF?

@Ivan6235 I did in fact play the game and they could have done something interesting like each game comes with a spell book that shows you how to cast each spell, essentially a game manual but wizard-themed but no, lazy game developers leave careless shit in including the fact that Harry isn't allowed to use magic at Grimwald Place.

@AShokwaveProduction agree with you. its such a cheap way to make the game. Although I still cherish this game since the best part was the fact that 1. the voice actors were the real actors of the movie ...
and the most important part was the fact that you travel through Hogwarts exactly the way it is in the movie. I would freeroam and just try to memorize where everything was and remember all the passageways... =]

It stays like that the whole game. Kinda weird but I like this game the best because you don't have to worry about house points like in the first 2 games.
first 2 were good but the last few have excellent graphics
