Not to mention, the 'storyline' isnt intended for Reaper to be using a super-fighter like the morgan. The rental craft for this mission is the f-15E, for which the Nosferatu is much higher spec.
Gosh, I remember using the Jolly-Rodgers F-14 on this.. there is a sweet spot where at the beginning that if you use the 8 Missile system you can literally kill all of the drones at once. I think. I had the record of fastest mission complete for both the Roundtable and this mission.

Yeah, the yellows were somewhat fair, they were hard, but fair to hit. Even bombers did that. AC5, I've launched a missle into a slowpoke, and sundely, thrust. "Missile shot trashed"....because of cheating. This is fake challenge.
Although I can't say much for the Morgan when it's loaded with that bulky laser. Could've mounted the laser dome under the nose and ran power from an auxiliary turbine, like the EA-18 Growler does. I can only imagine how bad the airframe drag and weight is with that thing loaded on there.
If you look at the falken and the morgan side by side, its clear that Project Aces designed the morgan to be a less advanced precursor to the falken. They literally have the same body shape, with only the underside being a bit bulkier on the Falken...what with that under-fin. Does the Moby Dick seem bigger than the Ace Combat 6 Aigaion (in game design sense)? Because by range-finding, I found that its wingspan goes past the 2 km mark.
And as for Edge, the Shinden is a horribly designed aircraft. What manufacturer puts an air intake on the TOP of a highly maneuverable aircraft? You're choking off airflow to the upper engine every time you make a sharp maneuver. Higher spec? Targeting wise, maybe. Maneuverability as well as reliability? Womp womp.

It also has conventional intakes, similar to the F-35. The top intake is probably there for the extra thrust needed for super cruise and VTOL. I think the two conventional intakes are more than capable of supporting the Shinden during sharp maneuvers. You do have a good point though, the top intake would receive less air during a maneuver...

In all honesty, I don't like fighting the Butterfly Master because all of the aces that I have shot down till now have been human pilots. I somehow find that shooting down a plane that was remote controlled has no satisfaction in it. I hope she appears later in a plane, but it is highly likely that won't happen.
you fly waaay to goddamn close to the UAV's and locking onto them in 3rd person mode and pulling your nose towards them is never going to work against the uavs that have 10x the maneuverability you do. get a bit of distance first then lock on.

All guns sound like the A10 gatling gun. Because they are all gatling guns. Smaller bullets - 20mm - but the same 20mm Vulcan on all Western Fighters. The Pixy having one due to lack of option.
Ah, thanks. I never played AC2. AC4 was my entry into the series. When I saw the callsign Edge my first thought was Nagase from AC5 who at points used the callsign "Edge"
She also shows up as an Ouroboros (terrorist) pilot in AC3 which is 30 years in the future, and as American pilot Coyote 1 in ACAH. For some reason she's AWOL in AC06.

Also...the Morgan is just...over-used. I will probably never play this game, but, once people get this plane, their simplistic maneuvers and fictional-weapon-spam is rewarded. It ruins the whole thing! Half the recommended videos are about the Morgan...and guess what? It's not even a new plane! I think I've used it 5 times in Ace Combat Zero. I've used the Falken twice. It's just no fun being infinitely superior to every single enemy. It's this game's version of cheat codes, and the developers have to make physic-defying enemies like those ridiculous drones to even _mimic_ the challenge of previous games. Face Gault with an F-5E Tiger and get back to me...ace difficulty...first try... I have little praise to offer pilots who only use the best planes.
that butterfly ace is OP, she will only let you hit her when she wants to, so its like the time it takes to finish her is pretty average for all players, except of course for gunkill masters and back to back chasers..but these are rare, and I doubt youre one.
@LeeWang85, Negative, i have shot her to hell but her health bar stops about half way, its all in how fast you take out the drones. Despite all that you cant kill the last two drones until Edge kills one of the last remaining two that kills Slash. So most of the time i either wait or just keep shooting them out of boredom until the event triggers and lets me kill them. -A "back to back chaser"

I got a message from a guy from Bandai on Facebook saying "it wasn't cost effective" to make it on the 360 One or PC, which is total bs since they made 6 360 only and screwed all the PS fans out of the story, then AH for everything correct me if I'm wrong which wasn't really that great of a game, now they're fucking doing this PS exclusive crap after building Xbox and PC fan bases. But having 4,5, and Zero right here on my PS2, I'm glad, because this game literally does look like shit. They just put all the bosses onto real world places and added all the bonus planes. They butchered the original soundtrack as well. The originals are way better, and PA is making retarded choices with its games. Done with Ace Combat now. 4, 5, Zero, and 6 4ever. fuck this infinity shit.
