Try and hit up a couple welding supply companies and see if you can work something out with them as far as supplying whatever... you never know man.. you might find someone to support you.. doing good things young man.. best of luck to you.. 30 years ironworking, retired now, but still mess around making furniture and small fab stuff..

Hey bro . Just out of curiosity. You were In the 3rd range and low on the remote . Which means it’s more of a crisp and stronger arc . Have you tried welding In the 2nd range higher on the remote . Would it not be a softer arc ? Have you tried it and how did it weld if you did ?
i didnt try it on 2nd ...i was actually having a hard time finding the heat ..but im useing 5/32 to fill and cap so 3rd gear feels very good to me ...i cap on 5-6 on the remote and it lookds good

I live in Houston also but my parents don’t think it would be a good way to get money and that you struggle a lot I seen most of your videos and even showed them one
you can make a very good living especially in Houston since we have a big oil field down here....on a slow year i can still make over 100k a year

What's good bro!?! I'm a welder with my own rig as well. I do alot of plant work state to state but pull a camper and take my wife and kids with me everywhere. I notice you're in hotels so you get to take your wife with you? If not is it hard to leave without her for weeks/ months at a time?

Well I would love to get out there and work on the pipeline but from what I hear the industry is really slow right now so I was thinking still rig welding but going back to California and seeing if I can find enough work to make a decent living. I wanted to start as a helper but I’m sure u know how hard it is to get a foot in the door

no bro...we park in a garage and you need a special key to get in and we have tons of cameras and they also have security going around the garage at all times
@@TheWeldLab that sounds like the kind of apartment I want to live in then. I hate thieves man. I had some people break into my truck while at work in uptown dallas last november but thankfully most of my good tools were out of the truck. They did steal personal items like dash cams and subs tho. Glad I'm past that now.
