- So, welcome to my BTS journey! This is my 2nd reaction, but 1st to a real MV (I hope!). Come watch with me and take this journey along with me! Tiny Desk, Festa 2021 and The Guide Bangtan 7 by Taylor Marie are great starting points

You should follow their journey from their very first song and watch their growth. They are all amazing in their own right. Check out No More Dream as the starting point. Enjoy them for what they are!! Talented people with hearts of gold!
As you fall deeper into the BTS rabbit hole you will come to realise how much happier you feel and won't be able to resist watching more and more of them. BTS are amazingly talented individually but together they are unbeatable.
They say that you find BTS when you need them the most and I certainly think its true. I've never known anything like this before and I've seen a lot of groups come and go. What I love and admire about BTS is their tenacity. In the face of all the hate and death threats they almost disbanded but fortunately for us they didn't and now look at them. 7 amazingly talented men who have brought joy and happiness to millions of army around the world.
FYI this was MASSIVE in 2020 and earned them their first Billboard Hot 100 #1! They now have 6 BB H100 #1's as a group and 5 Grammy nominations. and very recently in March & last month 2 of their members also got BB Hot 100 #1's for their own solo projects 😍

The thing you will find out about BTS is that their "deep cuts" and B sides are some of their best songs. And they have gems that go all the way back to their debut year in 2013. Like "Just One Day" "Born Singer" "Hip Hop Lover" "I Like It" "N.O." "We On" "Tomorrow" "Cyphers Pt 1-2" etc. These were some of their songs in the first year that I love. Each Era has amazing songs.

DYNAMITE. Obviously their most successful song, from 2020-purposefully released to cheer people up during the pandemic. Also their first all-English song, one of four.
They usually do songs that originate & are written/co-written by members, but this one was originally written by a British songwriter. His agent knew it was a huge hit, so they were looking for a high profile artist. People from BTS’s label heard about it, & they played it for the members. They immediately agreed they wanted to do it. They reworked some lyrics, and then made it their own. The rest is history.
I love that your shirt says “NOT TODAY...” as that is the name of one of their earlier, very high energy songs, very much a hype song.
My suggestion for your next song is one from 2016, “Save ME”. One of their most beloved songs.

It’s hard to choose a favorite when it comes to BTS hype songs, but Not Today holds a special place in my heart. It has a gritty and urgent quality that I really like.
It actually said "Not Today Satan" but yeah, we all need that either way, Cuzzz humans and Life itself be Bugging us out sometimes 🥲😅

As you know, BTS is a South Korean boy band consisting of three rappers and four vocalists. And all seven of them are excellent dancers.
BTS members are about to join the military.
After releasing a collaboration single with Coldplay, Jin, the oldest member, already enlisted about 8 months ago and is serving under Korean law.
And J-Hope joined the military about 4 months ago after releasing his solo album Jack In The Box and collaborating with J.Cole.
Suga released his solo album, D-Day, and successfully wrapped up his world tour a few days ago, and there was a notice that he would soon join the army.
Other four BTS members will also serve in the military and will be reunited in 2025. So they are briefly stopping their eight-year group works and focusing on their solo work.
They do a wide variety of music, but basically they are rooted in hip-hop.
All seven members are participating in making their songs by writing, composing, and producing them.
BTS started with a small company that almost went bankrupt, so they have been very looked down and hated by Korean broadcasting stations and other K-pop fandom. So they have struggled from the beginning to prove themselves.
If you're interested in BTS' other songs, I highly recommend Mic Drop's MV and the live performances. (It's one of their billion-view music video.) And then...

These are pretty different from Butter or permission to dance or Dynamite. (Only these three songs are fully English.)
And, all of their music videos provide English subtitles. :)
Their lyrics are very deep and beautiful.
Or, I think it would be good to follow a story line.

These are included in Love Yourself Trilogy.
The lyrics of BTS' songs are based on their own experiences, and their albums are organic because they contain their growth narrative.
It will also be fun to listen to their albums in order and analyze them. :)
They make a wide variety of genres of music like Hip-hop, Ballad, R&B, pop, EDM, etc. I'm sure there're quite a few of their over 300 songs that suit your taste. :)

Nice reaction! We love witnessing these moments. It’s been life changing for me. I noticed you smiled when Jimin was on screen. I recommend you check out his solo songs Serendipity, Lie and Filter. Also BTS Black Swan, Save Me, Spring Day, Fake Love and Blood Sweat and Tears will get your feet wet. Tiny desk concert contains three of the above songs. You’ll appreciate their enthusiasm and vocals there but the official MV’s will blow you away with the production value and choreography. Look forward to more reactions! 💜💜💜

I recommend BTS Festa Room Live 2021. It will give you a small sample of a variety of their songs so you can then see which ones you want to hear more of.
Plus it also shows you some of their individual personalities and how much they love and have fun with each other. 💜

Not today is a good song. The guide to the Bantan 7 by taylor is good guide to who they are. They are special.
There is no such thing as a typical BTS song as they cover many genre, Hip Hop Latin Pop, EDM, Ballad, to name but a few. High production values and artistry in music videos, great voices and often deep meaningful lyrics and story lines, beautiful dances. This was to cheer people up during covid. Similar would be BUTTER, or IDOL.

They all can sing, rap and dance. Korea has a very fine dust issues. Starting at a very young age they start skin care. They take really good care of their teeth. Also, take care of their over all bodies. Korean culture is very beautiful. The men are very comfortable around other men. Called skin-ship. Touching is not necessary a sexual thing...usually is not. When it comes to women, they do not touch unless in a relationship. Not even a hug. Koreans are beautiful! Please keep watching BTS! They all 7 are uniquely talented. They have dozens of genres. Hundreds of songs/MV's. Their stage presence is unmatched. They sound even better live! They also have their own variety shows. They are humble, with fun personalities. I found them when diagnosed with bladder cancer 3 yrs ago. Never thought I would smile of laugh again after an awful surgery! Their music helped my spirit. The variety shows bring me joy and laughter. Their brotherhood warms my heart. I am a 62 yr old woman. They are my favorite group/individuals of my lifetime! Us army always seem to find them, right when we need them! The last year has been a roller coaster. Korea has mandatory enlistment. 2 of them have already started. By the end of the year all will enlist. Breaks our hearts...but sooner they get there....sooner they will be back as a group/family. Don't worry....there is so much content....even if we had 2 years we could never catch up!

Maybe it's been said but bts has done a lot of music genres and with 7 members with distinct personalities and styles, they cater to different audiences. That's 1 of the reasons for their success, I think. It would be helpful if you shared what kind of music you usually listen to so the fandom could direct you to songs that you may like.

Check out Blood Sweat & Tears it’s one of the songs that launched them to fame. The music video is somehow both creepy and seductive. And On the Kinetic Manifesto Film is a great song with some of their most complex choreography.

It will tell all about each member of BTS and what they went through to be were they are at now.

Recommend Festa Room Live 2021. It is snippets of several of their B sides in a live performance and highlights their vocal talent and wide range of genres they cover.

Maybe a medley of songs, such as 2021 Festa Room Live would be good. It is a sampling of BTS' music from older to newer and mostly B side songs. I am not sure there are subtitles though, unless there is a fan version of the official live video. If you do watch that, know that the Song Titles are bottom left and the ALBUM name is bottom right on the screen. I've seen reactors who called the album the song name. A few of the song titles are in Korean, but some (such as Save Me) are titled in English. Enjoy the journey. I found BTS via the Black Swan MV. Totally different from Dynamite, or Butter, or Permission to Dance (the 3 all-English songs they did during the pandemic).

The first video of Take Two which is their latest release was fan made! The scenes where from a lot of different videos! The one where their all sitting in chairs on the picture is their live! Al so Tiny Desk has been recommended and it’s a really good video it gives you a small taste into their music and vocals! Your going to get a lot of recommendations to watch Taylor’s guide to BTS and it’s a good one! But there other ones that are good that touch on things Taylor’s misses and you don’t have to read! XCELESTE This is BTS , Hardship’s and Army videos are all really good as well. The most Beautiful Moment In time updated version by Rice Squad is also very informative! Not Today is an excellent video to watch of theirs!!!
Just watched both your reactions to BTS and pleased you gave them another chance - they are really worth the effort. I would recommend that your next ones include Black Swan or Tiny Desk Concert.
BTS is the best! They have wonderful music and also they are just the kindest people. I recommend if you like dynamite to watch the 2 music videos for Butter and Boy With Luv. Those are good ones too. Actually all of their MV and songs are wonderful. But that would be my recommendation. They also did a live performance of Butter at the Grammys that was amazing!!! Also to get familiar with the members if you’d like you can watch their Run BTS episodes on CZcams. It’s their variety show they filmed and has around 150 episodes. They are wonderful 😀

Right now they are only releasing singles solo's as they are beginning to enter the military 2 are in and 2 more leave soon. They will return in late 2025 as a group. But they still releasing other content as a group.

I want to recommend "Black Swan" that is a beautifull master piece and "Mic Drop" so you can watch their rap more because the song is all about it.

Try watching tiny desk… my first song ever was dynamite.. then I couldn’t tell who was who.. they all looked kinda alike.. then the color of hair changed.. then color of mics changed.😂😂 all my hints just didn’t work out. So once I watched tiny desk and they were all pretty much sitting in one place. I could concentrate on voices and faces!! Never looked back after that!!!

I would recommend you watch an Introduction to The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari.
That way you will identify who everyone is. It's quite long, 40+ minutes, but BTS Army will watch with you all the way through.
BTS have so many genres and songs it would be difficult to recommend without knowing your musical preference.
Many starters watch Mic Drop Steve Aoki remix to get completely hooked.
If you feel unsure if it’s official, their youtube channels are HYBE Labels and bantangtv also know as bangtang bomb that have behind the scenes material and other things they have done.
HYBE channel is for all of the artists and groups that are under this company. It’s a company with many different agency under it, it’s more like a collective for all of them. Other groups that are part of it are examples: Seventeen, Enhypen, &Team, New Jeans, Le sserafim, TXT and fromis_9, other artists examples: Zico, Nana, Sungyeon.
When they started the company was named Big Hit entertainment it’s now Big Hit music and that is what you see at the beginning of the official mvs.
Watch the videos in witch order you like, the earliest mvs may not have subtitles. Dynamite was made almost 3 years ago and currently their age ranges from 25-30 years old. Koreans take care of their skin very well and as I always say it’s in the genes. I’m 62 years old and half Korean and half white and I really never took good care of my skin but can say that I don’t have wrinkles. If you continue to explore BTS you will discover for yourself how talented they are and why they have the biggest fan base in the music industry and 6 songs in billion+ views. They are a diverse group, I do not consider them as a K-pop boyband, to me they are music artists in a group. My recommendation is that you view some mvs, watch some live performances because they are better, and watch Taylor Nakamoto’s A Guide to BTS: Bangtan 7. BTS stands for Korean words Bangtan Sonyeondan meaning Bulletproof Boyscouts. Koreans call what we call Kevlar vest as bulletproof.

Right now all Bts members do solo songs an Album beacuse the have to enlist in the Army, 2 members have allready enlist, i think 1 is going now, in 2025 all members should be back again, but the have a lot off music over 300, the have been together for over 10 years

This is not the typical BTS song, it's one that sounds farthest from their style actually. Not that they really have a fixed style, but they are known for their old school hip-hop sound and are generally more hip-hop. And for their English songs, they didn't have much participation in the song making process like they usually have for their Korean songs. Their 3 rappers are the main songwriters and producers for the group, they have a heavy hand in like 90% of their discography.
I hope for the next song you will chose one of their Korean songs that they worked on a lot themselves, like Born Singer.

I will recommend for you to watch xCeleste’s BTS: An Introduction so you will know how they came about, what they are about. It a very well narrated, brief concise mini docu of BTS. Thanks for reacting! Dynamite was my first BTS video almost two years ago. They have many great songs to choose from and many styles of music. I'd start with Mic Drop (the Steve Aoki remix), On (the Kinetic version), and Black Swan. I would also recommend Run BTS dance practice (the song from 2022, not the series by the same name or the song Run from 2016, though it is also a good song, the mv needs to be explained). There is no official music video for Run BTS, but there is also concert footage if you'd rather watch that instead of the dance practice. If you'd like to hear their other English songs, those are Butter and Permission to dance. These are good ones to start with usually. What style of music do you typically like? More upbeat or ballads? Hiphop? Rap? Pop? R&B?
They change their style and hair color frequently, so don't worry if it takes a bit to tell them apart. 1:14 Is Jungkook, the youngest member and one of the vocalist. 1:38 This is RM, aka Rap Monster. He is the leader (father figure) of the group, but in the middle, age wise. He is one of the rappers. 1:47 This is J-Hope, one of the rappers and slightly older than RM. 2:06 This is Jimin, slightly younger than RM and a vocalist. 2:12 This is V. He's a vocalist and between Jimin and Jungkook in age. 2:29 This is Suga, aka Agust D, he's a rapper and second oldest of the group. 3:15 The one in front in brown is Jin. He's a vocalist and the eldest of the group. J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook are the main dancers, though they all are excellent. You'll probably enjoy the bulk of their work then. Their lyrics are usually meaningful. Sometimes you'll have to watch an explanation video because of the cultural references (Baepsae for example. czcams.com/video/L_hchf9n0K0/video.html ) Most times, though, you'll be able to get the gist through closed captions. Fake Love might also be one you'd like.
