I'm a celiac and you mentioned you were GF. I hope you don't mind if I pester you with some questions.
How has this fit in with that kind of lifestyle? Do you use it regularly? What sort of grains do you use and where do you source those grains (in general)? The primary appeal is obviously control of CC in milled items, but has it actually saved any money? Is it still running well after two years?
Finally, what size was this one?

please help! When I use the machine to make peanut butter, it has a bad taste, like hot metal...any advice to avoid this?? I only use the machine for 2 minutes and I already start to feel this bad taste

although that's nice you picked the easiest of all to flour. what about hole grain? Im really not convinced yet.
We are gluten free so we don’t do whole wheat. Just rice, almonds, oats, beans, etc. and whole grain is just an entire piece of rice so just the hull is missing, wouldn’t make much difference.

How do you keep the grains from sticking to the bottom of the mill?
I still haven't been able to find a wrench to take it apart to clean it, or switch blades.
We haven’t experienced much sticking. All grains were well dried to start as was the mill. I wipe down with a dry cloth to clean. I know this came with replacement parts but can’t remember if it comes with tools. If not, measure the bolt and search for that size (May be in metric or imperial units). Good luck , let me know how it works out for you.
@@RollandReviews sesame seed sticks, and so does chia. I have bought several tools but it looks like I may have to get something electronic to remove the nut, because I don't own the strength to do it.

It didn’t, sorry. I can read Spanish well enough that I used that and also contacted manufacturer which is where I got the run time limits. Basic overview: never fill more than half full and run up to 3 minutes. We did 3 cups at 45 seconds to get perfect brown and white rice flours. Then dumped onto sieve to filter out larger pieces. Hope that helps.

How do you change the blades
Have to remove center nut and blades will pull off easily. This isn't the same mill, but very similar that shows how to change blades: czcams.com/video/HHE9k8KzwLE/video.html
how do you clean your ginder?
I just wipe clean or use the brush to brush off blades. Haven’t needed to wash yet but all my source foods have been fairly dry.

Why would you grind someone else’s processed oats???? Why bother
We do it because it’s a lot cheaper than buying flour and so we can guarantee gluten free. Also nice to decide what grind you want - fine flour, course, or meal.
It’s actually much cheaper to buy a bag of whole wheat berries instead of pre rolled oats that’s all I’m saying

Are you talking about wheat berries? Most grinders will run hot as grinding by nature is friction. If you do batches, you can cool the grinder between uses. Otherwise we only use for a minute or two at a time so flour never gets very warm.
