At 8:10 I mixed up the direction to put the spacer on and threw it on backwards... don't do that haha. I also use this car primarily for drifting and rwd shenanigans which is why I switched the front and back wheels in case you're wondering. Thanks for watching guys!
I noticed
I wondered the same, glad you caught that. Love the rides!
Treats On The Streets. if I get hub spacers like the ones in the video for my e39, can I fit19 inch wheels on it?
Are you talking about the hub extenders or wheel spacers?
Dude, Don't let your car run in an enclosed space.
Honestly I have no need for learning about spacers under 10cm, but man massive massive thumbs up for the content begins at 7:14. Those are information that save people's day.
Great advice for anyone who is thinking of putting on spacers!
I know I'm late but those little battery packs are really a life saver. I have a Dewalt battery pack and I'm able to jump my car, pump air to my wheels, charge my electronics, and also use it as a little generator for little things here and there. Its such a great investment everybody should have.
No video was really helping me until I came across yours. Thanks for all the info and great explanation :)
You're welcome! Thanks for watching 👍👍
I am new here and have hit the subscribe button,i learnt so much from you and appreciate the info you shared with us,it's relevant today just as it was two years ago! I hope you and yours are okay in these covid 19 trying times.
Putting smaller rim in the back is just dumb always have the wider rim in the back
Yeah I don't why he would do that
Great Video Man! Can't wait when my Arctic Silver Cabrio will be ready.
+naukjis nice!
Also you forgot to mention the hub has to be 72mm for bmw because some aftermarket come with 72.2-4 mm and this is okay but when your going over 70 you will feel a wobble as well as when you brake you’ll feel your steering wheel shake a bit👍🏼 love you videos man
Great video, timing was perfect for me as I’m changing my own spacer setup right now. Great content, keep it up!
+Ruben Alanis thanks man! Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
I L💖VE my Jumper!
That little Boost button on the Cable assembly gets it done when the battery is super low, too!
Never used spacers, myself!
I love your videos dude they're always so informative, and you're a really good host! Looking forward to the growth of your channel!
+killakurt thanks man! I really appreciate your support!
You always deliver great content. Ty for the information you share! (y)
+EJ Joson thanks man! I'm glad you like it!
Never seen those hub extenders that is pretty cool thanks for the info on that!
THIS VIDEO IS AMAZEING THANKS A LOT. I SERIOUSLY HOPE YOU REACH 1MILLION SUBS BRO
good info. need about 10mm on the rears of my E46 for that sweet sweet fitment. Will probably buy new wheels when i find some that have the right offset and look good, but spacers on the stock wheels will do the trick for now.
Great video dude. I just got a square set of style 24s 17x8.5j and i was wondering how much spacer I'd need to get to get the right fitment. I was wondering if youre running the same size wheels?
Thanks for all the great notes on the spacers brother.
'give it a few little love taps' beats the shit out of it 😂😂😂 awesome vid bro
+Sharkonix haha thanks man!
i found this really useful, thanks!
Glad it helped you out!
Nice cars. Agree with you about the E36.
Thanks for the comment on hub extenders. That seems to be the piece that other channels / companies were leaving out on the 5-10mm spacer range.
They are hard to find online though. Any recommendations of where to buy them? I’m looking for Tesla bore size 64.1mm. Thanks!
As an e36 328i owner, who worked as a Mercedes specialist, my dream car is a c63. Safe to say I found my channel
If you need to get extended lugs, especially on the e36 just get a stud kit. Makes changing wheels way easier and faster.
This BMW looks gooood😁🔥❤
Do spacers mess with the cars oem handling or ride quality ? Does it feel the same but looks better?
Nice set up. I would build a second level for your lounge so you can have more space and a better view.
Also make a see through partition between your lounge and cars.
I just got 8mm wheel spacers. Would I need extended studs? Or will oem be okay?
Great vid. I have a question hoping that you can answer. I got a 2015 countryman S All4 came with 17” oem rims but I didn’t like the alloy look. So I got the 2016 black 10 spoke oem 17” rims when I went try to put them on it didn’t want to fit since the center hub was popping out too much ( the piece that overlapped middle of the spacer you put on) what can I do to make it fit can you provide me with a great spacer mm to get cause I really like the rims I just bought from a outside seller and I don’t want to be stuck with them leaving them to collect dust.
Nice vid and solid relaxed style. Any good resources for spacer setups by vehicle you know of? Would be nice to get it right given the committed nature of the purchase.
+D Wray's Garage thanks man. I think as long as you find a reputable brand and buy the right size you should be good. Unfortunately I don't know of one brand that makes them for every car.
I want to put 19s on my car but how do I know what spacers to get? are all spacers for fitting larger wheels?
Glad to see the 801 getting some CZcams love
Just bought an e36 318i 95 hood latch is broke only got left passenger latch open need helping opening the right side, also what should be the first mods
“Give it a few love taps” beats it to death rotfl
Well I got front 5mm spacers with hubcentric rings from Bimecc. They even did a 3mm set. Also got 10mm on the rear with hubcentric rings.
thanks man u helped me alot
Glad to help!
Does hub centric spacer/extended bolts cause premature wheel bearing failure still?
I have similars cars like yours. ‘96 E36 328is and ‘11 W204 c63. What kind or what brand is the front lip for the C63? Thank you.
That tiny jumper is sick Always works for me
Are 8mm slip on wheel spacers too thick for your standard/typical stud length or will I be able to get away with it?
I'd personally go longer with anything over 5mm
sexy lineup of cars, you got good taste
+ByFlips glad you think so!
Where did you get the 10mm hubcentric spacers? Thanks. Nice stance btw
So when done properly can spacers be ran as a long term daily?
I need spacers for my new wheels but I wanna get spacers and bigger lug bolts but decided I should do lug stud coversion kit more cheaper in future as well
Shop safety bro. Carbon monoxide is the #1 silent killer. Let ur car run outside or have proper ventilation for ur exhaust fumes
+Yung Liquid the shop bay door was wide open lol. But thanks for your concern lol.
That doesn't really help, if you go into professional workshops they have extractors attached to exhausts even when the car is 2ft from the door. An open door doesn't extract gases.
Well it looks like I made it out alive despite a terrible near death experience 😉.
lol, you have the same survival skills as Bear Grills. I dont use extractors in my workshop but I run e85 and get drunk of the fumes
E85 smells awesome
Dude you saved me quite a few dollars educating me great video sad that these mechanics were charging me way over what I spent on purchasing the spacers with hub extenders. No shakes and now my e39 has been fun to drive 🖒🖒🖒
Awesome man! I'm glad to hear it helped you out
Thanks for the video, need some hub extender and longer bolts. Owk I cut disk rotors and make spacers 😑😑
Sweet m3 👍🏼
+Kies Motorsports thanks man!
like dude nice video and cars
+ilanik CZcams thanks man!
i like e36 content. subbed!
+FranklyIDC welcome to the channel man!
Mine is a Titanium coupe as well. Cheers!
Hi Gavin...I just put on some new KW V1 coilovers for my 99 M3 but now my front wheels are rubbing against the coilovers. I have a couple of questions for you. 1 is do you recommend putting spacers in both front and back? 2 is do recommend 8 or 10mm for the fronts? I have the standard 99 m3 forged double spoke rims. Thank you!
How much spacer you'll need depends on how much it is hitting. My tire was hitting the coilovers as well which is why I put an 8mm spacer up front. Any spacer less than 10mm and you'll need the VAC hub extenders like I have to center the spacer and prevent wobble at high speeds. Just because you have a spacer up front doesn't mean you need them in the back. I just did it because I wanted better fitment against the fender.
@@TreatsOnTheStreets Thank you!
Good into on spacers. One thing I took away from your vid is how much I miss NA engines, time to look for an e36!
Nice , is there any ready one for e30 . Can you share with me the link bro
Please can you show us how to take the hub extended out.
👌👍great info....
thanks for the tips. just ordered 200mm spacers, looking for that super aggressive stance for my ford escort (it's got a wide body kit on it, so it can take it)
Bad math.... 200 mm? That means 20 cm
200mm? 😀
how do you get the hub extender of?
I’ve never heard of swapping the rears with the fronts then fitting spacers?? Why would you do that? I live in the uk and have an E46 M3 but I bought different offset for the fronts so eliminating the need for spacers, people over here run std set up for ‘rwd shenanigans’ and normal fun driving or they go for a ‘square set up’ which is rear wheels all round. Also the drifters over here use a different rack to get a more aggressive steering angle to drift with, I guess that would effect the front tyre width?
wear can i get hub extenders for my rx7?
What coilovers did you say you put on the car? Im looking for some
+Mdriv3r Megan Racing Spec-RS 👍
Sweet E36 M3. I used to have one, but my ex wife kept it. LOL....Now I am looking for one. Wish me luck to find a good one.
Good luck!
Go to speak with your ex wife to get your M3 back... offer her some money, she will accept it to buy later useless things.... Lol!!!
U seem like cool guy .... subbed!
Welcome to the channel!
can you put spacers only on the rear of an awd system?
Morty yes
i got 2001 e46 330ci the fACTORY OFFSET FRONT 8.5 ET40 REAR ET50 , I GOT SOME RIM 17 8.5FRONT OFFSET IS 30 THE Rear is 15 offset need spacer for them to stop hitting my break caliper what mm spacer do i need im not trying to get them to thick bc wheel around got the look i want need asap
That will kind of depend on wheel design not just offset when trying to clear calipers. You'll have to take a look and guess how big of a spacer you'll need. Might have to try a few different sizes
NICE M3 BRO....
Would the hub extenders still allow for hub centric rings to work. Asking because I did a 330i brake swap on my e36 and I have style 5 wheels off of an e39 the center bore size is different and I need at least 8mm spacers to clear the 330i calipers
Yes because the hub extenders are the same diameter as the hub. If they'd work on the hub, they would work on the extensions
Treats On The Streets thank you for the quick response just wanted to be sure before I buy
Did you build the storage unit or is it rented I would love one just like it
I rent it.
subbed!
+777Edub awesome man! Welcome to the channel! 👍
Never seen those "hub extenders" before, good idea? one reason for wheels to be hub centric is the hub is meant to carry (80%) the weight of the car on those hubs primarily bolts or studs are not meant to carry the weight they're for holding the wheel to the car. So those hub extenders that are placed (pounded) into the inner race of the hub only have a 1/4" surface mating them to the hub how do you know they are perfectly parallel to the hub and there's no way they could support the car the way a true hub can
Sure they probably work for normal everyday driving but sliding car around putting all the side forces on them as when drifting you're demanding a lot from that set up. Better to go without spacers especially when it's primarily for looks anyway. 5mm makes that much difference to you?
True hub centric/wheel centric spacers are fine but that front set up is not confidence inspiring to say the least.
Same is true for plastic hub rings which sadly has become the norm...there once was a time when a wheel fit properly to the car many of the younger generation have come to accept these inferior set-ups...mainly for looks not for strength or durability.
There are options out there to get the wheel spacing you desire and true hub centricity it just costs more.
How many race cars use wheel spacers?... go ahead flame on
These hub extenders were developed and used on VAC's company e36 track car. They have a lot of development and testing in high abuse environments. I called and talked to them on the phone before I bought them. I assure you they're all good 👌 haha.
Aye brotha, I had to come back to this video. Had an e36 m3 last year and sold it this past winter. Thought my hope was lost but I just bought another one with 105k on it for under $7k! I got a question for you though, what size tires are you running on those stock style 23(?)’s???
That's a good deal! 235 40 17 and 225 45 17
Treats On The Streets yeah man! Thank you so much for the help!
What size are the wheel spacers on the c63? If you don’t mind can you send the link from where you got them from?
+Jasmit Singh I'm not sure on the size because they came with the car when it was purchased. I'll take a look next time I am around and let you know. It rubs a tiny amount when there are passengers in the back going over bigger bumps but not bad.
Treats On The Streets ^
+DODGE SRT not only are there spacers but the tires are oversized. For example, the rears are 275 instead of the stock 255. Thanks for reminding me to grab the spacer sizes. I'll look next time I head over to the garage.
Thumbs up for the intro song.
+ReggaeDubSoundSystem haha yeah man! Couldn't stop listening to it.
What's the name of this song?

👍
Wouldn't the lug nut conversion get rid of a lot of these issues?? It would at least save you the trouble of having different bolt sizes.
whats your dashcam brand?
Hey you seem to be pretty good with the e36 issues I’m having a problem where my car has trouble to start and at first the idle was bad and is throwing the codes p1188 p1189 and p0173 I replaced the icv hose the maf sensor the intake boot fuel pressure gauge cleaned icv cleaned the throttle body and replaced all 4 02 sensors and now I’m at a hault because idk what else could be causing this. The short fuel trim goes up to 23 randomly at idle then goes back to 0. Any help would be great thanks in advance!!!
+Young Yeezus I'm no mechanic lol. Hmm maybe check all your vacuum lines, and possibly an issue with the MAF
Treats On The Streets okay thanks love the m3 btw!
+Young Yeezus thanks man good luck! Hope you get it all figured out!
Does the lip on the 10mm spacer have to go over the original lip on the hub, or does it slightly sit on it?
Thanks
No the flat side of the spacer goes on the hub
@@islami658 I know that, I mean, does the lip of the spacers sits partly on the original car hub, or is it meant to clear it?
Cheers
are the hub spacers good for fitting 19 inch wheels on e39
That’s what I needa know
How big is his storage locker again ? Thank you whoever helps me
mannn this place looks like a sick hang out area! wish it was near the beach tho haha
Haha I definitely wouldn't complain if it was!
hehe keep up the good work. Subb'ed.
Welcome to the channel!
What if i want to put 30 35mm spacers ?
you need to change the suspension settings after adding spacer.
Ehhh kinda you basically change your offset by adding spacers
Anyone know if you have any problems with rubbing or hitting on the fender?
With the setup I have my front would rub bad without camber. I have about 2.5-3 degrees of negative camber up front to stop rubbing and have a better handling setup.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S’s for life. For LIFE.
Nice car
+Aalok T thanks man!
Love your car man! I got a 1998 Bmw 318ti. I've been saving for awhile and I plan to buy an e36 M3 in april
+MIDXWEST Productions awesome!
Switching your wheels front and rear for looks? I guess it works if properly driving the thing isn't a priority....
I use the car primarily for drifting and rwd shenanigans. It is very common with that kind of driving to put wider wheels up front and skinnier in the back to get more front end grip and have the rear easier to slide. Not everyone builds their car for the same purpose, so for what I use it for I am certainly driving properly. This is explained in the pinned comment at the top.
That explains it. To each his own I guess....
Song clip at the very beginning?? Soundcloud link?
Tribal Seeds - Aroma
What brand tires/make are those &size?
Nitto NT05 235/40/17 on the 17x8.5 contours.
what are those!! jk I needed a review on spacers thanks.
There is plastic/plate circles that you put on the spacers or the wheels so that the car doesnt wobble and that the wheels sit fit. I don't know if you guys have it or know about them. I think they are called centering rings.
The problem is those need to fit on the hub and isn't possible with longer spacers. I had hub centric rings on my Subaru when I got new wheels and they worked well for that though! The hub centric parts on the spacers take the place of those separate rings you're talking about.
Ah, yeah you're right. They work on smaller ones.
3:24
You’re a hero
Wer can I get those apacers for a e46 m 3
what kind of radar detector do you using?
Valentine V1
Used to have a E30, E36 and now E92
What headlights do you have?
+Gabriel Olvera they are DEPO glass lens with LED angel eyes. The angel eyes come already in the headlights.
How can I get good fitment with a widebody kit
Expensive 3 piece wheels
Why do my after market wheels have a plastic hub ring?
That is a hub centric ring. It keeps the wheels centered on the hub
Will your airbag light not turn off either?
I ran the code and it is for the passenger side seatbelt. Not really a big issue so I don't want to go through the hassle of fixing it.
@@TreatsOnTheStreets I feel ya. I gotta fuigure out what mine is all about.
what tyres are in the front
+George Verai nitto NT05's
you should get the obd2 RK tune for the e36
+Omar Kirbi I've been wanting a different tune so maybe I will. Right now it has a Dinan tune. I've heard good things about RK tunes
Treats On The Streets yup. i’m rk tuned. such a nice tune.
+Omar Kirbi sweet!
Treats On The Streets yeah even when my vanos is fucked up it still pulls hard i do need to fix the vanos though 😂
