In the aircraft industry we used black moly grease on stainless fasteners and yes, hand tools only. Heat produced on the threads with power tools initiates the galling, lubed or not.

Great info Pete, I try to use Anti-seize on my wife's purse for one of your beams but got cought and I wish I had enough loc-tite for the lashing I heard after trying.
