Gee has such a great attitude and approach I love it. Well done on the interview! Thanks for the content.
Grimay pays a lot tribute to his team - humble man
Grande Tadej...tutto cuore e talento
Classic case of both sides are correct. Jonas to not risk anything when there is little to gain and tadejs "if you got the legs you can do what you want". As a neutral viewer tadejs way of racing is way more appealing to watch, but you can still appreciate Vlabs tactics as well. (if jonas makes those decisions himselfs is secondary) And we'll see if jonas changes things up in the mountains. Given the current team strengths it will be difficult for Vlab.
Little to gain i'm not sure. At 20km to go it was Jonas, a team mate and Tadej against Remco by himself. If they went hard that could have been significant time taken off Remco who is stronger than expected. Jonas could have AT LEAST asked his team mate to push a bit to force Remco to do an effort. Jonas had two team mates in Remco's wheel and really was not at risk at all
@@Fozai sorry what is vlab?
Yep. When you're in second or third, you need to race smart and try to cut corners and be as efficient as possible. This is to take seconds back from the guy in first making occasional mistakes and you can see them happen and then don't make them yourself. If you're in first, you've obviously got better legs but you have to race like a scared rabbit and try to go as fast as you can and you don't know something was a mistake until it is too late. But your competition can. Leader is prey, chasers are the predator laying in wait, waiting for mistakes. Game as old as life.

Looks like Tadej answered that question, quite well if you ask me 😂 👏👏 He just rides
Yes, very honest. Intelligence is not his thing.
@@Nyelands winning tours arent either apparently
Tadej 💛
We waiting for the riders names pop off while interviewing 👀
Lol if you watch the tdf and don’t know the key riders then idk what are you doing here 😂
Derek Gee, Biniam Girmay, Tadej Pogacar, Arnaud De Lie, Neilson Powless
Is it just me or is the helmet strap on the Israel PT team ludicrously bulky?
The mic is also connected to the buckle.
@@FreeMTrider It's just a very thin wire though...I'm talking the buckle and then the strap thing that keeps it end from being loose...just looks really really bulky given this is the top of the sport where weight and aero gains matter. Compared to other riders ones too it's biiiiig
@@out_spocken it’s just you
@@out_spocken yes it's a bulky looking buckle. I thought my Kask Protone was, but that one is double the size..lol
Both Remco and Tadej showed their frustrations through their comments.
They both know Jonas Vingegaard is a threat.
Unfortunately for Vismas Lease a Bike at this TDF: 1. Jonas not in top form 2. There’s no Sepp Kuss.
And TP is not injuried like the last year... we will see.. but JV is a biring racer
@aleksanderpeca759 TP wasn't injured 2 years ago, but he shed a lot of time. This year he has Giro on his legs. Don't forget that
Tadej sounds frustrated by a lot of armchair analysts who've never ridden at his level giving advice.
@@aleksanderpeca759 TdF would be boring without JV. Like Giro... Hot take maybe but seriously, was the Giro exciting?
@@dcataj5085 Yes
"Racing intelligently is just nonsense!" Is that what Pog said? 🤣
His PR manager must be spinning big time
Pogi said it all 🔥
I like Tadej, but very often it isn’t the guy with the best legs that win.
this guy is really focused on balls
A song of fire and ice 🔥 🧊
Love Tadej screw the intelligence its about the legs
You can quickly lose your legs if you use them unnecessarily. That has happened to Pogi in the past.
Perfect answer!!
Ofcourse vingegaard is not going to race at 70km from the finish with Tadej and Remco, on a bike that’s not his in a race that is less suitable for him. To claim that was a lack of balls, is just disrespectful.
Pogi was having fun on gravel, Jonas was aware as he should be.
Remco? Let’s see him drag his big balls over the high mountains. Can’t get the arrogance of the footballplayer out of him.
Second highest mountain of the Tour is already in the past, just saying
hahahahah
It’s nice to see some personality. Jonas is boring AF. Great racer but boring.
@@Knofristrue, but the gradients on Galibier were quite low, it's a climb that isn't AS imperative to have high W/kg over just raw power. I'm not downplaying the solid performance on Galibier, just saying the climbs later on are quite different which should be accounted for.
@@BramStoked-uq4hp Without Jonas TdF would be boring
Yeah, "smart" tactics Jonas. Ride 18 stages in everyone else's wheels, contributing nothing to the race, and then pop out with a 7w/kg climb or ITT when it suits you and preferably take the maillot jaune without even winning a stage.
That is what you are doing when you want to be a Grand Tour champion. Tadej is a joy to watch, he motivates everyone to start riding. Visma and Jonas are the masters of tactics and nutrition (his power values on the TT are not explainable without nutrition) and they openly admit their knowledge of nutrition and super-charging their racers. Thus, if Tadej could calm down his race devils, he would follow the Visma strategy, the last three days of the Tour would be a real fight. But Tadej, being Tadej, might fall into the trap and burn his energy too fast, great to watch, beautiful racing, but bad strategy to keep the yellow. Anyhow, the last three days and the last week will be decisive, and the Tour was planned in this way.
@@michaelw.lassalle1716 Okay, today Jonas earned some real respect. Not for tactics, for racing.

Green machine is on his tail and he looks like he’s back in shape again with mvdp too
EF is a waste of an interview
He beli😂ve his brain is in his balls, JDV's brain is in his head. Funny is that Pogacar and Remco always complain of JDV after every race...😂
Jonas is humble the other guy is not
To the one who just liked this video, i see you. 226th like. i am like number 227.
Everyone on the chesterfield can see Pogacar needs to take a leaf out of Jonas' book and ride just a little bit more conservatively. As Pippa York said, you race the Tour when the terrain suits your strengths. Power is one thing, tactics are another.
Just when you thought Remy might be maturing he reminds you what kind of person he really is…act in haste, repent at your leisure…time will tell.
Making assumptions about someone as a person based on how they ride a bicycle will never not be weird.
@@Knofris Agreed.
@@Knofrisand you never speculate bro?🙄

Not as bad as a Danish tick.
Winners win, losers complain 😉
Yeah i saw it...he is a silent sucker and when someone is sucking him he is so mad...
"U need to have legs" said the person who cracked horribly at Stage 17 last year and said "I'm Dead" and have 7 minute gap. Lovin Pogi spirit but pls don't be a knucklehead. 😑😑
How one is related to the other?
your need to mis-interpret an innocuous statement to be gloating so you can justify your support for some one else is sad.
@@redscooter32he was spot on bro!
Don’t let your fanboyism cloud reality!
Not saying Pogi won’t win BUT the last 2 tours have shown him to not be so tactically smart.
Smart = stay on someone's wheel
