Were you able to repair this?, if so how did you do this?, I have a similar sauter unit with the same issue, looks like the hirth coupling is worn. Sauter can still supply the parts but the cost is more than my entire lathe is worth. I was thinking about trying to shim the coupling closer together
Hello John, my sauter now works fine. the biggets problem was that I did not know how it works. the backlash catched on the video is normal. For real lock of turret you need press the magnet and turn motor to reverse direction as was last unlock. My problem was in the bed setting of encoder and centering of side plate.(two pins had damaged holes maybe after crash).
