I can't use razors because of my hypersensitive skin. I use cordless shavers. I can tell that this guy can shave my face and I definitely will NOT leave feeling like my skin is on fire.

I remember when my father regularly brought me to a old barbershop near to my town in Italy. When I come to watch those videos I always feel like when I was a kid...
For anyone wondering, the damp warm towel is there to moisten the hair/beard. The cream is there to hold the moisture in. Without that the shave would be terrible and cause razor burn issues. Having the hair moist before shaving is key. The brush used to apply the shaving cream also lifts the hair up for a better shave. You may not notice it but the bristles and the way it's used makes the hair stand up, mostly through proper strokes on the face. You shave with the grain (as the hair grows) to prevent ingrown hairs and razor burn. You shave the neck last because that's where the larger and more coarse hair i s found, which needs to "soak" a bit longer. Once done cutting make sure to rinse with cold water and maybe use a cold cloth to pat dry. After the shave is done you should also apply a moisturizing aftershave that will dry fairly quick. If you still have problems with bumps or razor burn then you could try something with an antiseptic in it.

I'm from California and i also just discovered I'm actually Italian due my grandfather who disclosed this info before his passing. All my life i thought i was mexican. This explains why he had so much interest in traditional shaving. It was in his blood. That also explained why i was so fixated on learning as a child. couple of the reasons why you don't see too much is because no one wants to take the time and learn how to do it. The other reason is because it is almost prohibited to do it in lots of places because of diseases and using those straight razors on multiple people

It’s taken me 3 years but I’ve perfected this routine now and can get a bbs shave now. I’ve also switched to a lot of the proraso gear including the brush, pre shave and aftershave lotion. Quite like the green series stuff for shaving and the red series for post shave
