    Okay, please think about how cool a creepy sexy angler fish mermaid would be, the potential with a led in her lamp, the faceup with beautiful ethereal features, creepy dark eyes, and those scary teeth!!!!! Also, I am in LOVE with this face up. Her eyes are just breathtaking. And the fins 😭 the movement in them is just gorgeous.
    This may be my favorite.

    I just found your channel today and I really love it. It gives me that eerie vibe that I look for in doll creations. I love how your dolls are more sculptural and less focused on posing and motion. I absolutely adore the concept of a deep sea mermaid that rarely sees the sun.
    But I do personally think the black hair would have been a better choice, without the need for black detailing or added color. The black gave it contrast and pop that the white hair seems to lack for me. I also think that keeping the hands and arms clear would have been an amazing concept as well. It would give it an almost ghostly vibe, and with the right lighting could have even glown like bioluminescent fish do in the deep ocean.
    Keep up the amazing work.

      Thank you. I am thinking of my fantasy creatures like they were animals living somewhere in their habitats. The concept needs to work as a whole. Like with a horse: the tale's color needs to match the mane's color. If something is really off - I wont be happy with the outcome. But if you enjoyed the contrast of pale skin and dark hair better - I recommend my Dark Valentine's video ^_^

I think it is a disease called Dropsy, it causes to the scale to stick out. But I think what really makes her creepy are her eyes. They are the white souless eyes of deep ocean fish. The creepy factor is very high. Well done!

    This turned out really gorgeous!! Has a wonderful sense of motion, and I do think the choice to go with white/rose hair was a good call. It makes the black around her eyes, gills, and fingers pop more and makes it easier to catch all the details.
    Feel free to disregard this of course, but when you mentioned wanting to try a creepy black haired siren in the future it got me thinking about how different materials behaved through the process for you. One possible path could be an oil slick mermaid if you wanted to have the very long, hanging hair and build a sense of weight/slickness/unnatural movement? There are a LOT of directions you can go and your concepts are stellar, this just crossed my mind so figured I'd mention in case you find it interesting.

    I never knew May was the month of mermaids!!! My bday is May 14th!!! I've always been fascinated with mermaids. The only time I'm truly happy & at peace with the world is when I'm in the water.

    I love the ‘muahahaha’ moment lol it’s honestly how I feel whenever I’m working on one of my dolls while at work lol they always get to see the beheading part, but I haven’t done body mods while there… no power tools whilst talking on a phone… lol

    Beautiful! I love the more deep sea/spooky/ minimal color angle of her. Much more eerie siren than little mermaid. I dig it~

    Не могу отделаться от мысли, что русалка похожа окрасом на аксолотля, пусть и безмерно печального. Очень красивая работа, что с волосами, что без них. Обманчиво трогательное ранимое выражение лица. Представляется мне именно такими моряки могли видеть сирен или морских дев❤️💛💛

      You are right ^_^ She is a little bit axolotly :P And yes - that was my goal to depict her like a mermaid that, even if a little bit creepy, could allure some sailors to their deaths :)

    She's so lovely! She's creepy and macabre, but beautiful, and she definitely reminds me of something you'd find in the deepest depths of the ocean. I'm also super impressed with her tail! I've seen a few mermaid dolls and the tails never look quite right, but you kept hers so sleek and long. Great job and beautifully creepy work!

      @CatmeleonStudio  Před 3 lety

      Thank you! I tough that longer and more like.. organic... tale will look interesting. You usually see tales that are just a little bit longer then normal legs... and I wanted her to be a little bit different. Wanted to add some uniqueness to this figurine :) And I am pretty happy with how she turned out ^_^ Even if she is now so freakishly tall :D

    She is so beautiful. I love how you overcame the issues you had and persevered to make her into the beautiful doll you had planned, with a few modifications to the plan. I also like that you included the struggles you had. Some doll artists don’t show that at all. My favourite part of all your videos is you talking. I could listen to you for hours on end. You have one of the sweetest voices and I love you accent. I just don’t know what part of the world you are from. Thank you for sharing your art with us all. Stay safe and healthy.. love from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
