It all starts with the OL, if u don’t have a front that can stand up then nothing else even matters, need to sure up this o-line asap
Seems they missed out on getting linemen, I guess Tom Curran didn't report that was a big need.
You're right, most people blame the QB and RBs if the offense isn't productive, and of course they matter, but if the offensive line stinks and RBs get stuffed at the line of scrimmage or even the offensive backfield, and you've got one or more defensive ends reaching the QB right when he finishes his dropback, there's just no *chance* for the QB and RBs to do their jobs. The offensive line is really the foundation for the offense.
It’s wild that this team has not drafted a true LT prospect in the first three rounds since Yodney Cajuste in 2019 in R3. 2019! LOL
Have the Patriots improved? 🤔🤔 Can't we just wait for the season to be underway before deciding?? Practice is practice...work hard...do your job...and let's hope for the best 🙂
Best they go 0 and 17 with Brissett .... and get some top tier O Lineman in the draft. Ideally you trade Judon for a starting left tackle.. but problem is nobody has extras to trade.
They could have drafted an LT in round two but for some reason they added another possession receiver. So they reached in round #3 for an OL who's not even an LT! And Nick proclaims "mock drafts don't matter" when it was the reaches that people were complaining about. Hmm.

There are approx. 4 players..3 on defense who they need to trade for draft picks..2nds/3rds.
I agree! We saw last year what a good defense and a bad offense produces. Unless these new OL coaches can work some magic, our OL could be worse than it was last year.
Prediction, Pats will be drafting LT in round 1 of the 2025 draft. 😬

When it comes to Polk, I said pre draft that he reminds me so much of Keenan Allen. Not a speed demon, just a guy that gets open, gets separation, and has great hands. A smaller, more athletic Jakobi Meyers is another good comparison. I think Brady would’ve loved Polk. His type of receiver. Polk, Douglas and hopefully Baker make up a good young crew for Maye.

They did not address the offensive line the way they should have, it all starts in the trenches. I see very few wins in their immediate future.

Bourne is avg at best. Older and back from knee inj, wudnt bank on him being any better than the top 5 guys. He has no special team value , not the 6th wr either. Cut him after pup or inj res. Basically a roster spot wasted if on the team.
You put him on IR. You don’t cut him. Someone might get injured & he’s an insurance policy.

Polk, J. Baker, Douglas, Osbourne, Reagor, Smith-Schuster & Bourne starts on IR.

The OL won’t be fine, they’ve been bad the past 2 years. There is no reason to believe they’re going to be better this year.

Anyone else think trading Judon, Johnathan Jones and Peppers would be ideal? Get 2 2nds and 2 3rds and build around Maye and actually develop our young pieces on defense?
I just don’t think they will command that kind of return for a majority of those players unless a contender has an injury at one of those positions during the season
In the modern NFL it makes no sense to have a good defense and horrible offense! I agree, this is what's best long term.
Maybe someone gets traded closer to the trade deadline. I just don’t see it happening right now.
You’re only able to make those kinds of trades in video games like Madden. Its highly unlikely you’re getting 2nd or 3rd round draft choices. Maybe a 3rd for Judon, mostly, it would be a pick swap, give Judon and a 5th to move up to the 3rd.

Resign all the average players, new coach and backup QB as starter. Going to get worse before its gets better. Hopefully Maye shows Flashes at some point and we can him an O line and #1 WR in Free Agency next year.

@@Cellularsurfer You said they resigned all the average players and that JB is a backup QB. Just a bad take, we resigned important pieces for this team going forward and some depth which every team needs. JB isn't a top-20 QB but probably could start on 4-5 other teams. This isn't a playoff team yet but this team could win at least 7 games.

We are in total rebuild with this offense, trade Judon for a 2025 2nd or 3rd. Accumulate as many picks as possible. Don't expect or want many wins will get a top 5 draft pick again. Then they can draft the best Left tackle in the draft. Don't play Maye too much though, don't want to get him spooked.
Agreed, I hope he maybe only plays like the last few weeks
People forget that the patriots have a top 5 defense last year and easily still is that could also make their offense better in practice and also why the offense don’t look as great as they really are
Brissette 2024 is better than Mac Jones 2023. I don’t see how this offense isn’t better than last year’s.

Why is Boutte on this team? Guy could be facing a suspension for gambling and he has other off field issues, just cut him, and that bust Smith with him.
Greg doesn’t want to be negative? He’s always negative. I get the concern about the O-Line but there’s no question the roster is better. 🙄
Get rid Jake Andrew’s, Weatley, Lowe, they’re all useless , all were picked by are BELOVED EX COACH. CUT of them and sign a L tackle and another guard that still available or make a damn trade!!!don’t put Maye out there this year with that awful horrible O line.

Ships sailed on the LT position, no ones trading you a LT. plus, thats what the Pats attempted to do last year with Lowe and Weatley. People are only giving up trash that they don’t want. Mayo and Wolf made their bed by not addressing the position in free agency and the draft, now they going to have to pick someone on the roster.
Trade/cut Judon and tank for next year. No point fighting for mediocrity when you have no oline.
