Great episode, lots of insights, definitely interesting ahead of Feb! Also, thanks Rob for reminding me of the Klutcha-Grot incident, that game was so frustrating! 😬

Finally picked up these beastie gits so I appreciate the taktikz. I want to build them with the bonehakka (rule of cool) but the harpoon seems like the real way to go for killin.

Obviously, you glue the saw to the end of the harpoon and have the best of both worlds 😆

Epic update: played my first game with da boyz and the mission was to assassinate the enemy boss. On the last round my slicer got a straight of *5* to saw them up then Klutcha-grot rolled a double crit to finish the job 😂

Krule Taunt is amazing against the ever-more-common high volume 2/4 profiles. Things like Thanes, Doomseekers, Neave, Necropolis Stalkers, Akellian Kings, nearly every Questor, etc. reducing that massive wall of damage to irrelevancy is HUGE. Considering these models are almost always more than the Beastnob, it’s unbelievable value
Awesome video again bud. Great to have Rob sharing his vast wisdom

many thanks :) yeah krule taunt is real good and probably even more of a reason for that T5 boost on the beastnob given that he has to be real close to use it.

My stance on Saw Em Up is that the wording isn’t consistent with GWs language. GW commonly denote things like multiples with “each”. So at the end of Saw Em Up the ability says “that”, whereas you’d expect an “each” to definitely say multi-groups. Check out Berserk Rampage as an example of GW throwing “each” every single time.
Then you have the power level of the ability…it’s a super gamble, but traditionally triples like to do about 6 damage and avoid dice rolls. Saw Em Up, with 5 or 6 dice is very likely to get 6 damage, which is on point. It also has the chance to do 18 damage which is more than most triples - more than most quads - totally ignoring stats to pull it off.
The Monsta Killaz 2 big damage abilities feel like huge gambles by design, and the 1 group interpretation fits that theme.
You can compare it to Vulkyn Flameseekers who’s theme is to do reliable damage, and all their damage abilities fit that theme - with their triple, berserk rampage, being more consistent by design.
All that being said, it’s unfortunately ambiguous and desperately needs an FAQ. I would be very surprised if it was ruled to multiple groups though. I am happy to be wrong, however.

Comparing it to something like the flamehurler and the briar queen's triple (which admittedly is a little outdated but works for the purposes of this), those abilities do 3 damage on a 4+ at range for an absolute cap of 18 damage (6x3).
Saw em up has the same cap because you can only roll the 6 dice (on a triple 6) but with the extra-fun ork randomness of making groups; Admittedly I haven't done the maths comparing the odds of a '6 dice wounds on a 4+' vs 'roll 6 dice and look for a straight' but I would imagine that it's not totally out of bounds to make multiple groups.
Though ofcourse it needs clarification because the ability is worded terribly.

Great video! The orruk with the ‘no reactions’ triple is called the Bawla Boy though, not Brawla Boy

How are you making the harpoon strength 5?

You can use the divine blessing rules from WD490. They are pretty much widespread in events nowadays
