An enjoyable lite series to watch !!! reminds me of when 'wheeler dealers' initial started. Thanks to Will Trickett and Gus Gregory to produce such a good car adventure. Thank you !!

    Rented a BX once.
Drove from Scotland done to Bristol.
About half way down one of the back wheels fell off, doing about 75mph on the M6.
Car stayed level, got safely to the hard shoulder, the wheel had fired up into the wheel well and was fine.
Pinched 1 wheel nut from each of the other 3 wheels, tightened them all right up, and off we went again.
I hate to think what would have happened without the suspension of the Citroen.

I had a BX 1.9 same colour as above but brighter. It went like a rocket and great to handle. I drove it to the south of france on two occasions without any issues !

    I owned 2 GTI's
an 8V D232 DPO which was a sensible fast car
and a 16V E979 LDD which was just nuts and managed to get all four wheels off the ground over a humpback bridge :-P

the octopus is a perfect example of Design For Manufacture. put the octopus on the subframe before you attach it to the rest of the car makes a lot of sense during manufacturing. it was needed because the hydraulics tank was repurposed from the CX and middels a few extra inlets for return hoses. I've replaced the one on my car with pneumatic hoses ( green coloured!) and festo press fit couplings, all coming together near the hydraulic tank, combining them there. if there is a leak, I only have to replace one hose, not the whole lot.
but if you insist on replacing it with an original monstrosity, using stiff electric house wiring as a guide during removing and then inserting the new hoses saves a lot of fustration.
    I feel your pain.

I remember taking delivery of my BX 16 TRS and loving the innovation and then thinking that long term it might be a nest of problems. However as it had been my choice as a company car that was likely going to be someone elses problem one day😊

Must be lovely to be able to just hop up the road and find parts off the shelf. Anything I restore has to have bits shipped from "elsewhere" and the ensuing delays make it a nightmare. In fact it's easier to buy parts from the UK than try to convince a Sydney-based wrecker to ship the 500km to my place.

Good old day car that my father used to own during early 90’s. However he gave up it after 3 years due to it’s alternator and hydraulics failure. It’s hard to maintain it in tropical countries especially Malaysia, even hard to find a good example still running on the road here 😢

The car looks good here, but man... Later on youtuber Number 27, Jack, bought it and fought to get it back on the road. He then sold it to another, and much bigger, youtuber, JayEmmOnCars, who thought he'd bought a good car, and sent it off to a third youtuber UPnDOWN, who've been trying to get it fixed... It's a real money pit it seems...like you expect i suppose. ..but man i hope it someday, somehow, ends up fixed. It's a VERY cool car.

That acrylic paint you put on the door frames will last about a month, if you're lucky, before it starts looking like shite. You guys need to invest in a proper paint setup.
