The MOST important thing you need to do EVERY day is after you are done using it do a 10 oz rinse cycle without a pod. this will flush oils and grounds out of yur top needle and keep it clean. once a month run a rinse pod. and it will last for years!!!!
White vinegar is 5% acetic acid. The Keurig descaler solution is citric acid. It does a better job at dissolving the mineral deposits and scale than vinegar.

Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.
In fact, on the bottle in my box, the label is a peel off label on the front, starting at the bottom right corner of the label. Peel it off and the instructions are on the inside of that front label.
Great video but why does the kit include 1 application of descaling solution that you use completely, 2 filters and 4 cleaning pods? What are 4 cleaning pods for when you only use 1??
The cleaning pods can be used to clean the brewing area every other week or so. The filter needs to be changed every 3 months or so. The descaling procedure can be done every 6 months
Heather, you’re not an idiot, all you need to do is read the machines instructions, in the case of the 2.0 the machine has a DESCALE MODE to clean the machine and you’ll be fine

This guy is 100% incorrect. Pressing the 8oz and 12 oz button together for 3 seconds when the MACHINE IS TURNED OFF and plugged in will place the machine in descale mode. This is the most confusing instructional video on CZcams. I can read the box myself for instructions, reading the machine’s instruction book will give you specific instructions for the model you own
@@buzzincalifornia this guy bought the kit to review but his descale light was not on. on some models the light is activated by sensors that sence the presents of scale but many are activated by a certain amount of brews and the only way to stop the light is to go through the process in a descale mode

I second that the solution is CITRIC ACID, a completely different acid than Acetic Acid (Vinegar is ~5% Acetic)
i don't remember getting the reservoir with my keurig. is that usually sold separately?
My keurig is a different model, so I don't have that clear tube to put the water filter pod in. :-(

Mine never said add water after I descaled
I use the pod rinse instead of pure water is there much difference in pure water and the Rinse pod solutions
The solution is acidic so helps breakdown the buildup

My Keurig doesn’t have a filter thingy. Can it just float or is that a separate attachment I can purchase?
Not sure if you can purchase it separately. You can buy a Brits jug and add water to your reservoir after filtering through Brita.
Why would you run descale threw water filter. Should have pulled water filter out did descale rinse re-install water filter

Rinse pods are supposed to be used monthly. Even when you’re not descaling

Then you don’t need one, use prefiltered water to fill your reservoir

You didn’t put into descale mode.
There is no descale mode. The descale indicator is there to remind you to descale when the Keurig is experiencing high pressure through the tubing.
