- This is a story about how a man's tragic and heartbreaking loss, led him on a path to the priesthood. Fr. Peter Adamski was a top-level executive working with the pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson and was married to his college sweetheart Kathy. Together they had a son called John and life was going great. But it was after Kathy was diagnosed with cancer and early on-set Alzheimer's disease, that their life changed forever.
Here is Fr. Peter's inspiring story of giving up all his wealth and riches, to join the priesthood at age 66.

I was drawn to watch this video for some reason… I was watching videos about guitars, musicians and ended up watching this. I saw the notification pop up on my IPad, and I thought to myself, “I’m having coffee and music time…”. Nope, God wanted me to watch this and I’m glad that I did.

I have been thinking about a later in life vocation. Secular life is so empty and I feel like I’m chasing things that have no value. I feel mostly empty unless I’m in church or helping others
I am so inspired as I see the beauty of the Priesthood as the most joyful vocation. I see pure joy in Father Adamski.

I was drawn to this video too. My husband I think is in the early stages of dementia, and this is just what I needed to hear. What a good husband he was. Its really difficult seeing your loved one disappearing before your own eyes. I’m sure he’s a very good priest, and the experiences he had makes him understand and help parishioners who are struggling with health issues and family ones too. I have no words...
My priest in Florida has a daughter who attends his mass. It is such a blessing.
I once met a bishop on a train ride to Rome and he was in his travel attire, looking as any other priest: black suit and a collar, a tiny crusifix on his neck and we really had a nice long chat together becouse we ended up sitting in front of eachother while the entire trip was ahead of us, then a phone rang and he picked up the call and anwsered it with: Ciao Amore (Hello Love) and his eyes lightened up and his hole expression changed. He looked as a man in love... after the phone call ended he explained that it was his daughter checking up on him on how the trip was going. Practicly, he got married very young, his wife died leaving him with a toddler, so he raised his daughter and once she was well set in life, he entered in seminary and was ordered priest at age 56. He even had grandchildren.

I love father Peter I was drawn to him at a wake we chatted I was memorized he pointed to his church across the street and told me that’s where he lives so all week I thought about him and our conversation and I said to my husband we have to go to church on Sunday we went and we been going every Sunday for little over a year now and I look forward to giving him a hug every week he energizes me and keeps me going for the rest of the week he is truly a remarkable man and this story touched my heart I cried like a baby but God was in the right place at the right time and put him where he needs to be his love for others and his compassion is truly remarkable I will always honor and cherish our friendship he’s made a huge difference in my life thank you so much father Peter and I truly recommend you all going to at least one of his services you will be drawn in I promise it’ll be a good choice everyone have an awesome amazing day and again father Peter thank you so so much I truly love you from the bottom of my heart to the top I’m truly blessed
