    I like these guys, very measured in their tone and style and they break the movements down nicely and full of useful tips. And they talk about mistakes we can all identify with....but again its not done as a harsh critique but simple pragmatism

    Thank you for this! You are wonderful teachers. And I personally enjoy the camera work Doug! Video request: Can you show the proper form for good mornings? I heard you discuss this on the hamstring MP podcast but haven't tried them for fear of improper form and injury. I think its another exercise that's very simple and also very complex like the bent over row. Thanks in advance!

    I don't know how long its gonna take me to be able to do these with 20lbs of weight like that. its going to take a lot of hard work & dedication but I'll get there eventually! Ill probably use a belt as I don't want to mess my lower back up with all that weight.

      The movement is safe as long as you don't overload on weight you cannot pull and apply the proper technique.

    I thought pronated grip had more lat activation because of the external rotation component, same reason in a dead lift set up to "break the bar" to engage the lats?

  • @nvmffs
    @nvmffs Před 7 lety +1

    Don't you guys think this exercise kinda limits your lat gains because of how hard it is to keep your balance with heavy weights? Like your back and biceps can row a lot more weight but you know your form will crack. Most people can easily use 100-120% of their own weight but it's damn hard to bend over 90-110 degrees with that weight and not fall over.

    • @MindPumpTV
      @MindPumpTV  Před 7 lety +3

      nvmffs not at all . This is arguably the best movement we can do to develop the lats . Deadlifts , pull ups , and barbell rows . Top 3
