I thought the whole point of hero talents is to lean into specific "fantasies"... They certainly knock it out the park with some specs... but some of them might as well Just be in the regular tree.
How can I upgrade the beta characters to lv 80? Do I have to lvl them up on my own or is there an instant upgrade? Thanks
Just fyi on pack leader: not only is it absolutely horrible aesthetically, half the tree is horribly bugged and doesn’t work lol

I dont play hunter, but i think a good change would be to buff your pet and give it a visual. so hunters would put some more thought into their pet selection if they transformed in different ways.
Also boomie shouldnt spawn trees, they should spawn little moonkins that fire moonfire spells that absolutely nuke.

I still hate that people think BM hunter should be about summoning loads of pets, the point of a beast master was always having an insanely strong pet not swamping the field with weak pets, leave that to demonology warlock imp summoning. What BM hunter needed was for duel pet to become optional on the side but not integral to the spec and the focus to be on the pet getting more skills / damage / utility, have the hero talent tree for it be more like the old pet talent tree with abilities / buffs that work with / replace parts of the pets tool kit.

I agree with all of these. The warlock, mage and priest (clothies!) Are my top 3 contenders. If dracthyr were not stuck in their draconic form i would like them so much more.

as a rogue main, i totally agree. Every spec feels like unfinished and underwhelming.... nothing is going on, not a single exiting button to press, no visuals

I am a warlock player and also more than happy with the diabolist tree, though one thing i should point out; The demons coming out from the hero talent only buffs/change some of your spells but dont change anytthing rotational wise.
Infernal bolt gives you more soul shards which is nice and does ruination consume soul shards? I can’t remember
@@VesperalTV No it doesn't sir. But again, rotation remains pretty much the same except small things like, not overcapping shards when Infernal Bolt is next on the queue or may delay tyrant a bit for Pitlord to get a bigger tyrant with ruination's extra imps.
How do WW monks feel?
Some of these hero talents are so tame, it's like they were designed on napkins. At an airport.
Wildstalker should be a Guardian-Resto combo, where popping out vines has little to do with the Feral tree.
I wanted to hear more about the druid specs. Gotta wait for the tier list i guess.

Treants for boomy should cast insect swarm and it should increase the damage of your dots or something

They are in the alright to meh category. Aldrachi doesn't really work with how the base rotation functions as far as I know and could have been listed in the "worste" category.
with the rework the Survival ones are good now and make sense

Im surprised you didn't mention Unholy dk's as well. They are so well made with both San'layan and Deathbringer. But your top I'm in big agreement with, Daibolist, voidweaver, and frostfire are amazing and well put together
I really like Rider thematically but it doesn’t change too much gameplay wise

Mountain thane is probably the standout. Using an amped up Thunder Clap makes it visually appealing.
The others are alright but could basically be just some talents in the base talent trees. Not much fantasy or eye candy there.
I agree i'm very disappointed to the rogue hero talents.
Rogue has been my main at the start of every expansion i've played and seems like TWW is gonna be the first one where it's not.
Same with me, I have always been rogue and it just does not look fun in tww
WW monk looks great after its rework if you wanna stay in the mobile melee category. Else DK and Ret are solid so is survival hunter.

Rider is for sure sick but only so many I could fit in, I may make another one down the line!
It was pretty much the highest points and lowest points.
I’d actually say Rider is quite boring. It’s not exactly doing anything new, but thematically it’s just amazing.
Like you can have a boring hero set, but if it’s really neat then that can just raise it.
Like if Packleader just allowed a 3rd active pet for BM and a 2nd active pet for Survival then it would have been much cooler.
You can leave the rest of the tree the same and it’s great.
@@poorwowgameplay Fully agree. Rider thematically is like S tier but the execution and actual impact gameplay wise is alright at best. Would therefore give it a B overall.
Most DK hero talent trees in isolation are alright but get overshadowed by the base class and spec talent reworks.
@@Sly_404 I quite like that two of the DK trees are pretty passive but one is active.
Frost and unholy both have a lot going on, doubly so now that Soul Reaper is back. Even Blood is now looking at adding one to two rotational abilities and possibly several minor abilities.
Which just kinda highlights that you can do something fairly passive that’s not going to massively raise the skill ceiling but still remain engaging.
Like for the most part with Rider I’m not really going to be tracking it - and I’ve got a suspicion that I’ll probably just run it for raid and do San for keys as San could provide a more reliable damage profile.
The much better players than me though will be tracking their Riders in order to properly maximize burst damage based on the buffs and debuffs conferred.
Which is all a very good thing.
Also Soul Reaper should be a 15s DoT and recharge time as it gets pretty clunky in the rotation.
Wow! What a fantastic video VesperalTV! Really useful for someone like me that doesn't have time to test all the hero talents for myself because of my job and Wife keeping me so busy! Speaking of I'm going to have to dip here while you're talking about Boomy but I'm gonna be maining rogue in TWW and I can't wait, I've only heard positive things about them on the beta so its gonna be a WOLLOP expansion as you would say! Hoping to see more content like this from you in the future!

I've been a BM main for many expansions and while I appreciate the rework there just isn't enough "oomph" to Packleader.

aldrachi reaver is a big loser IMO. The class fantasy just isnt there ando also makes the rotation more complex wich isn very fun at all.
Yeah Aldrachi could have been listed in the worst category as well.

I honestly think hero talents should have none or almost none damage component to them, and should just lean in to fantasy/visual aspects of the class.
As a rogue main i am deeply disappointed.
It all seems very AOE so M+ looks what blizz are looking to grow even more next expansion.
Im pretty sure blizz will fix rogue, Druid etc. because they can’t leave it be how these talents are rn. If they don’t fix them… oh boy ima be a dk main again
Given the latest beta updates have been number changes first and foremost, chance is the base design of the specs are what they will release TWW with. Ultimately they can always brute force something to be functional by simple % aura buffs. Doesn't make the spec necessarily more fun to play but at least look okay on some dps meters.
I watched the video and I don't agree with what you say about the hunter. Why is it a problem if the rotation does not change and it is easy to play with it? You say the bm hunter hero talent has become boring. Not everyone spends half of their life in front of wow, but still wants to relax and enjoy being able to produce high dps in a simple way.
Im bm hunter since Legion and seeing this dont suprise me at all. Hunters were always at the bottom when it comes fun to play. Our spells, visual gameplay was always poor even f spell ability icons r same copy paste and that says, tells something. I dont think we will get rework of it because they dont care about hunter and they never did care.
tbh I like dark ranger and sentinel, pack leader needs a fix, but I hope it won't be an army of pets, game has enough pets as it is, pvp targetting is horrendus xD

My first thought when i tested to Boomie talents was "wtf how is this even going to be good with so bad treants we have?"
And oh boy was i right... I imagine this keep of the grove thingy would fit alot better with mist of pandaria version of treants where you had 3 charges of treants and they spammed Wrath when you summon them, and they would cast entangling roots on summon aswell. Thematically that made sense in my head, but this melee swinging long cooldown tre-ants with a taunt is just pure garbage and its not fun at all.

I gotta say it's sad hero talents are gunna exist. I mean look at this mess. You have warlock and Spriest getting these cool and pretty nice gameplay hero talents... and then you flip the coin and play Hunter/rogue/KotG druid and you just like dang these classes suck. also the balancing nightmare this will be in the long run of the game knowing blizzard some hero talents will just be brushed off to the side and never touched again after awhile. Its not even fun like blizzard is literally killing its player base by Meta defining certain classes and people who play the ones that arent meta or just got pooped on gameplay wise they just get benched until blizz decides its there time to shine which in wow shouldnt be the case! Every class should succeed and feel fun and playable. not just 5-6 classes feeling fun and the rest are sitting there wishing they could have the same enjoyment the meta classes are having. Games really starting to be unfun because if i wanna do anything i pretty much have to play meta and thats just boring constantly having to swap what class ill play season to season rather then playing the 1 class i think is the most fun and is the one i love to main. And yes i know you have the freedom to play what you want but the 2nd biggest issue is the community (well atleast if u are solo premading) will not allow you. If you are not a meta spec or ur class makes a key take 2 minutes longer they will decline you and you will have to que for hrs and hrs before finally someone decides to take you all because i want to play a non meta class that i love. why would i waste my time queing for hours when i could just swap to meta and be insta taken in like 5 minutes. so sure i could play my main but having shorter ques seems better in the long run then actually enjoying my class just so i can get the rewardies.
I agree with you but, since when it wasn't like this? some classes/specs always felt like second thought while others got all the attention (mage was never bad, shaman was always a mess, hunters to this day want a defined class fantasy).
By now idk why people expect something different from blizzard.
All my life I played hunter, and everytime I saw the same.thing happen again and again. Half assed talents/specs with a lot of problems in beta, with lot of players saying the problems and possible solutions, only for it to be ignored until the end of the expansion.
Hunter, rogue, shaman, warrior are the loosers. No flair, no interesting talents nor visuals.
This is why its always funny when people recommend retail over Classic. Classic are finished expansions with good class gameplay and retail just ends up struggling every expansion and firing class-designers left and right because they have no idea what to do. Druid class dev left during DF beta and it was shit for so long. Like they genuinely just have no idea what to do with half the classes and if ur unlucky you're stuck with a shit class for a whole expansion. Why anyone would pay for that is mind boggling
Outlaw Rogue is horrible, its normal talent tree and gameplay isnt even fun on its own cant even be played properly without weakaura
Such a L for hunters… maybe they should stop spend the whole time on 2 classes ( mage warlock going through multiple iterations…) and spend more time on other classes…. Or better hire more devs Hunter is big disappointment not gonna play this expansion

I've been watching various streamers and have been questioning whether these hero talents are really so super. Because the streamers rave about it as if it were some amazing discovery and evolve wow. In the end, I installed the beta. What was my disappointment when it turned out to be a baseline that could be added in the form of 3 additional talents in the current tree. And actually everything works on a passive basis without contributing anything to the game or rotation. I don't understand the hape. I am very disappointed.
