On a technical side note, arguably one of the most popular stage mics in the world, the Shure SM58 (which looks and sounds like what Dave's using up until @7:21), sounds like you're talking through 5 pairs of socks! It's beyond me how they got so popular. Listen to how much better he sounds after that with a properly GOOD mic!

I was once playing and my mic stopped or for some reason I needed another and one of the other band members said "use this" which I assumed was a Shure SM58 because it looked exactly like one and I didn't have time to check. At the end of the set I said "Wow, that's the best SM58 I've ever heard" and he said *_"That's not a Shure, it's an AKG"_* so that clears me of confirmation bias. Yet they're the most popular stage mic in the world which is why I have such an attitude.

@JustStop19 I've been playing on stage for 57 years and it's something I noticed. But not everyone agrees with me so when I see something that justifies my long term observation, I feel a sense of satisfaction. 🤗
It is not for its super quality sound I believe. It is very durable and lets say reliable.

Dave Chappele's story about Daphne is not comedy. It is something of parable proportion. Something biblical that merits the ears of all humanity.
We never stopped anyone from much of anything at Radford University before that like Ludacris, etc..… certainly wouldn’t start in like 2003 by kicking you out. NNNNNOPE. My 20 yr old ass was a junior that yr… was in the middle… started keg and blunts and just gravity bongs that night… walked the 50 yards down there on the railroad tracks and I think that’s the only place that cocaine didn’t fuel the extent of every evenings actions.
My septum fell outta my nose.. cocaine was for quite a nonstop and just enough to not be completely covered over about 3 Or 4 days … crash out whenever it hits ya for about 16 hours. Then wake up.. go to Little Caesar’s for the hot and ready… drink a bit of soda with it.. then drinking is the rated G version at its most blah.. lol
I want some goddamn respect and bank loan 🤣🤣🤣
