Sugar Cookies
1 c sugar, 1/3 c butter, 1/3 c coconut oil: Combine and beat until light & fluffy
2 eggs, 1 T milk: In small bowl beat eggs and milk. Incorporate into wet ingredients
2 1/2 c sifted flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 3/4 tsp nutmeg: In large bowl whisk together dry ingredients. Slowly add into wet ingredients. Incorporate evenly and shape into mound. Wrap in parchment/wax paper. Chill. Roll onto surface lightly floured with powdered sugar to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into shapes. Place on baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Sprinkle cookies with colored sugar. Bake 375 for 6-8 mins or until lightly browned. Let cool 3-4 mins, transfer to cooling rack.

Hi Amy. I am so far behind this year. Your cookies look delicious. My granddaughter always asks me to make red velvet cookies and they are so easy.
RED VELVET COOKIES
1 box red velvet cake mix
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
You just mix and refrigerate for about an hour. Remove from fridge and roll dough in balls. Dip them in powdered sugar and bake at 350 degrees 8-10 minutes. You can add white chocolate chips but she just wants them plain. I am going to try your sugar cookie recipe. They looked so yummy. May see if my granddaughter would like to come help me make some cookies. If she has time. Great storage area. I’ve decided what I don’t use this year I’m donating. I’ve got entirely too much and I’m tired of it and plus I’ll have a good excuse to buy more!

Love this style of video. Was always curious as to where you stored your decor.
My favorite cookie recipe came from my grandma on my Mom’s side. It is an old, old recipe, probably close to 100 years old. She called them refrigerator cookies. 1/2 c softened butter, 1 C brown sugar, 1 egg, 1tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 2 C sifted flour. Combine dry ingredients, set aside. Cream butter, gradually add sugar. Mix thoroughly. Add egg, mix well. Add vanilla. Slowly add in dry ingredients. Form into a log shape. Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate overnight. Slice in 1/2 inch slices. Bake 10-12 minutes @ 325. Do not over bake.
Simple cookie, but so meaningful to me. Grandma only made these at Thanksgiving or Christmas.
