Protesters clash with police at University of Texas

- Protesters were sprayed and a stun grenade deployed by police on the University of Texas campus in Austin on Monday, April 29, footage from the action shows.
Footage recorded by Lina Fisher shows police using a targeted spray at close range to protesters.
A loud boom is heard at one point in the footage, with bystanders commenting that it was a stun grenade.
Local media, citing the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, said 79 protesters were arrested.
The protesters had been removed from a pro-Palestine encampment on the university campus.

When I was a student in UT I had conversation with a fellow student. At some point I said to her, "You don't understand hate." She said self-righteously "I don't understand hate." to which I responded "That makes you a child." I often think of that interaction in the worst of times... 9-11, Oct 7th, seeing these riots. I hope for USA sake, that she is no longer a child.
