- This session started out like any other day, target big fish early move on to smaller species as the day progressed. The plan worked almost too well and I ended up with more footage then one could fit in a well edited fishing video. Even though I never intended to split this footage as I was filming it I came to a decision that it was probably for the best even though I hate making two part episodes.

Yeah same mate. Had some hectic sessions in there over the years. That swell can really make it gnarly fishing at times.

They’re a no target species mate. They are purely by-catch while targeting bass.

It comes and goes with good breeding seasons mate. There’s always something doing well about the place.

Thats my favourite spot at 3:30! Pulled 8 fish just in that spot, including a nice mackerel. Bait fish was getting smashed in that spot for like 1 hour straight.

Your fishing buddy works at my local Freddy's , always helpful and seems a nice fella, and you must have been a skateboarder in your time to keep your feet in that swell.
Ha ha no shit I was a skater grom. Guy was the kid who’d come hassle me at the tackle shop back when he was 13 like everyday after school. That was over a decade ago and now he’s the guy.

Hi liam..i used to fish at the spit, just close to the small round about.i used live baits but got snagged all the time..lure wont snag easy...what is the best lure i can use on that area to cath diff kinds of fish,?thanks😄
The land based options on the south wall are difficult at best mate. Everything will snag with the step down drop off on that side. Your best option for minimal snags would be a surface lure or a slug or something. It all depends on the target species mate.

Whens are the best times to get out the seaway because everytime i go i cant seem to get an easy way out or it to even look as nice as in that video
Neap tides so less current and aim for days under 10 knots, consecutive low wind days will drop the swell and you’ll get conditions like these mate.

Yeah that’s a 3.8 mate. As long as your motor is reliable so if you get pushed in near the rock you can back out safely.
