    May I give you little nugget of advice?
    I found by changing my braid to the colored braid gave me more confidence in not loosing jigs to easily, that's the braid with 4 or 5 color bands, each color is 10m.
    By using the colors and knowing your depth, say 20m..you can then go down two colors,, or if you wish just before the end of the second color you can stop and know you are 1-2m from the bottom without snagging the reef. You can also compensate for swell heights aswell.
    This helps you not loose jigs to easily.
    Just a tip. Maybe you find it helpful.

    It's no wonder I haven't been successful with my jigging... I've got all the right gear for slow jigging but I've been dropping it and cracking it hard on the retrieve. I never gave the fish a chance to see the jig before it's back at the boat

    • @sunajiram8008
      @sunajiram8008 Před 7 dny +1

      The two rods have different power, which means the higher the rod power the jig will move faster underwater, by having two rods with different power you can change the rhythm and pace of the jig from slow moving to fast moving😊

    I liked your video.I dont understand though is why ,tge guy says not to jig the rod but only work the reel???Other slow pitch jigging anglers say the exact opposite.You neen to work that rod slowly up and down plus whole/half/quarter reelings as they say.Whats your opinion to that my friend?

    • @sunajiram8008
      @sunajiram8008 Před 7 dny +1

      😊slow pitch jigging and fast jigging are two different style of vertical jigging. Fast jigging uses fast jigs while slow pitch use slow jigs, when using a slow pitch rod you don't have to jerk the rod fiercely, slow pitch rod main target are slow moving fish or fish in low activity mode, while fast jigging main target are fast moving fish like during early hours which the fish are ing feeding mode, by reeling alone the slow pitch rod will load the rod tip and by stopping abruptly the rod tip will flick the jig automatically that's why he said just reel in and let the rod do all the work not the other way around 😊😊

    Can I use spinning reel for slow jigging?

    • @jsetan666
      @jsetan666 Před rokem

      yes, but only for micro and light set

  • @theowenssailingdiary5239

    You don't have to exclusively use the reel to impart action on the jig, just try everything, it all works. I mean, they have a 'correct' way to eat bloody noodles too, but if they end up in the mouth then job done.

    Not much of a challenge in a boat and using a fish finder 🤣 If it was inshore no boat would be a real challenge!
