I do wash everything except NWT simply because even if it’s clean when donated, it all gets dumped in the same bins to be sorted. So clean donations are all in with *ahem* unclean ones. 😂

I have been an ebay clothing seller as my main income since 2001. I am fast approaching age 50!!!
Anyways- no one is killing it reselling. It’s a hustle and all resellers will hit a plateau. Hence so many turn to making youtube videos, because if that gets monetized then it can be a secondary income stream….but- even that is a lot of work (as you know).
Reselling is great being a Mom. I can make some money and be there for my Daughter. I would rather be low income (which I am), but be present for my child than have a much bigger income but be away at a 9-5 type job.
You are doing great! And even as a seasoned reseller, I am not too cocky to say, I have learned from you…and some of the younger reselling Ladies (here on youtube).
This is a job that you will always have to keep up with trends and new labels/designers.
Congrats on your reselling success! And sure hope you have Children, you seem like you would be an excellent Mom.
Agree so much! I started reselling because of the flexibility of it. I'm a stay at home mom first. Any extra money that comes from reselling is a blessing. If it starts to get too big for me and consumes my time and energy, I scale back.
I would love to hear more about taxes and how you estimate what you have on hand in ventory for taxes. I've been watching you since you lived in Maryland at that time I had no clue you were from Indiana. Also I would love to hear your story about how you guys decided to host an exchange student and what she has brought to your lives. I know she seems really shy but people's stories interest me.
Sometimes as a seller if someone disputes a piece I sold to them, ( has rarely happened) I really took it hard and obsessed about it until I reminded myself of the many positive reviews I have received and stopped focusing on a few customers who sometimes are just trying to game the system or just could never be satisfied
I was so happy to hear you say you don't always get to listing every day. Neither do I! No matter how hard I try to, it just doesn't always happen. I see some of the other sellers say to have a backlog of drafts. Excuse me, but if I can't even get to listing every day, when the heck am I supposed to make up drafts!!?? 🤣 Thank you so much for your videos. They are SO helpful to me and my business! Also, which camera do you use for photos?? I use my phone right now, but I have to edit EVERY photo I take, and it's taking me forever to do that.
I find that discounting substantially old merchandise will get it moving. Especially on Poshmark.

You are so right! I always wash clothes I buy secondhand online. And I dont always wash the clothes I thrift before listing, unless it needs to.
I have the same thought on washing things!! Do you have POTS? I do. I love that you can lay in bed and work. Take time you need off during flares etc. I would LOVE to hear more about the taxes!!! Its such a zone no one wants to talk about. None of it makes any sense or makes reselling worth time and effort “IF” I don’t BS. Like make $10,000. Pay $3,000 in taxes. Pay for items and extras. Make like 2 cents an hour. Made up numbers but making less than I made babysitting when I was 12 when said and done. Anyways, I always watch you while I’m listing! Thank you for all the info.
Throw all the clothes in your bathtub and add detergent. This will show you it is NOT clean. Not being judgmental, just sharing. It is eBay policy that you wash it, so I wash it all but NWT

@@brigidmartin3877 She is not being a Karen. Resellers sell their items at retail prices. So yes, they should wash the clothing. I work at a thrift store and the clothes are not sanitized like you think. You should see how the clothes come in sometimes with trash ,dirty diapers or roaches, bed bugs or other disgusting things. The clothes are thrown into big bins where they sit and marinate with other stuff. We throw away a lot of gross things but it still marinates with good clothing. Employees have gotten ringworms or flea bites because of this clothing. So she is not wrong when she says wash the clothes.

for I find it helpful to keep a lot of drafts so I can be consistent as much as possible. I try to list 10 a day so having drafts ready to go is very helpful and saves time.

I’m just getting my posh closet up and going again after several years off. Basically because I need to declutter my own closet but I’ve been taking a deep dive this weekend into CZcams videos and running across your channel makes me breathe a sigh of relief. Great video!! Managing my ever growing inventory and the clutter it creates in our new home and garage is very frustrating to my family and stressful for me.. I struggle with daily listing. I am selling well via many different platform online and locally, but my inventory is out of control. 😬😵💫

Great video Rebekah! I'm old enough to be your grandmother but started reselling less than 2 years ago to keep the old brain working! It's a hobby for me but definitely takes up more time than I thought it would. I turned my guest bedroom into my Ebay room which I keep clean and organized but honestly, it still drives me crazy. I put the bin number in each listing so I know exactly where it is when the item sells without needing to maintain it in the spreadsheet.
I don’t wash either unless it’s visibly dirty or smells. People are going to usually wash before wearing. We even wash our new clothes before wearing.
I've been sending my old stock to thread-up. It's doing better than I expected her there.
Thank you for all of this information! Question about Vendoo- if I end a listing & sell similar on eBay or Delist & Relist on Posh, will the sales detection still work? I would think the identifying info would be different at that point.
I find, the problem with selling from your own closet is not efficient enough because if they are older pieces no one wants them (happening to me). Poshmark went from closet clearing from your own stuff to "MOST SOUGHT AFTER ITEMS" which to me means more new items. It's crazy!! 🤪 Now many people are out buying new with tags items for resale. Also, seems like to do well, you have to be on social media to be found because there are so many resellers you are a little rock in the mountains. Just my thinking. Don't forget, sell cheap! Don't know about anyone else's thoughts. 🤷🏼♀️

I have had a Poshmark account for sometime and I’m not selling anything on there. Is it similar to eBay? You have to list in order to sell
You definitely don’t have to attend live shows to sell, but you do have to share your listings frequently in order to make sales!

You shouldn’t admit to not at least spot cleaning all the clothes, I doubt technsports or daily refinement washed every item BUT they sure as heck told everybody that they washed everything. Might wanna do that to save yourself
😅I buy from sellers who have steamed the clothing, wrapped it in tissue and then packaged as if you bought it at an online shop. I feel like they are taking care of the things I buy. I don’t know if this helps you or not. Plus could you leave a link to where to see your items on eBay and PashMark?
Ugh are you the awful person who gave me 4 stars for not doing pretty packaging? Rebecca has stated many times that a huge part of the reason she is a reseller is to save the planet. Adding more plastic is the opposite of that. If you want stuff in plastic buy it new and leave us alone

Thrift stores have their own disgusting smell clean or not. It has a "goodwill smell"
All preowned clothing needs to be laundered. This is a bad business policy. It’s also gross.
If you’re doing partnerships or sponsored videos, you have to disclose it. You need to show on the video that it is an Ad. Also not trying to be rude but it’s a clickbait title, they’re literally basic questions. Nothing juicy.
So I did disclose that this video had a portion sponsored, and on the backend I marked this video as being sponsored so that it would display that in your upper left side of the video. So, I did indeed follow every rule.
As for the title, that’s the title of every Q&A video I watch, so I thought most people would recognize that.
