Wow, that plain rotor magically transformed into a drilled and slotted one, just like Pinocchio!
Solid educational video! If only all other informational vids were done this way.
Thanks. I'm glad you do step by step as well as show what you are doing and not just talking about like most other videos. Great work
Great video. Right to the point and short and concise. Thanks for the torgue specs.
Very helpful and informative video! While this video shows the front wheel bearing and I’m doing the rear the info crosses over pretty well. The big difference is the four bolts that hold the hub assembly in are slightly harder to get to in the rear (on an AWD model) because they are inside of the control arm. I used an 8-10” extension and a swivel to get to them and used a breaker bar to break them loose 👍

Hello, very good video. Please, can you tell me what size on the central nut of the Nissan Rogué? Thank you very much
Thank you for your work. But can you say , what is the size of the axle nut for this car?
Thanks.. Very Helpful..
Great video and great pats too, thank you!
Great video, THANK YOU...
Can this work on a 2013 Nissan Sentra?
Nice work. Good tip on spreading the pads. Wouldn't recommend hammering on a rotor and reusing (no other choice sometimes, right?), or threadlocking the bolts (just clean, copper grease, and torque spec), but still superior to the online service manual. [2017 Rogue SV, 73K driver side hub, 123K passenger side]
if you grease the bolts the torque will be off
Thanks mate for helping video
I am not ASE Certified. I usually have my work done these days by qualified techs. In this case, I needed to save some $$, so I set out to do it myself. I haven't worked on cars since the early 90's and so I made some amateur mistakes. The 1st mistake was using an SAE socket instead of a metric. It felt tight but I rounded 2 bearing mounting bolt heads. The metric socket felt tighter. I bought a damaged bolt head removal tool but the CVC joint was in the way so I had to detach the lower control arm in order to move the CVC joint away from the steering knuckle.
Then I made the mistake of pounding the spindle away from the knuckle by using a hammer. I should have used a 5 lb dead blow hammer. I damaged the very end of the spindle and couldn't get the hub nut to start. I had to buy a tap and die set to fix that problem. Also, had to do some filing on the end of the spindle just to get the die started. Once I was able to start turning it about 4 times, the nut went on smoothly.
Everything is back together now and it passed the road test. All I have now is a damaged ABS Speed Sensor that I have to replace.
🧑🔧🙃
What size was the axle nut?
Thank you for your service. is it possible that you show how we can change rear hub on nissan rogue 2nd generation FWD
+V We do not have a video for this repair right now, but we'll keep this request in mind for a future video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Anybody else have trouble actually getting to the mounting bolts?
Thank you 😊
The drill and slotted rotor he installed is for the other side I wonder if he knew that??🤔🤔🤔
What’s the size of the 4 mounting bolts? Never said it
So new ones don’t need any grease ?
my 2020 sentra sr has pressed front wheel hub assembly
Well, this is perfect. I have to do this myself. Driver side is really loud. They want $504 to replace just 1 side at Firestone. The site you have listed sells both sides for only $129! how exciting! Qiuick question, what size is the nut that holds the hub assembly in place? Great video as Well!
32 mm
@@michellariviere4911 exactly the info I came looking for, thanks guys!
Do we have to use pneumatic tools or can we go old school?
Don’t forget your loving bonks!
7:10 I keep replaying that sound that tie down made
"Give it a loving bonk" 10/10
Will this work for a 2019 Nissan Altima
+Shawn bowles This should be a similar installation.
What’s the axle nut size?
32mm
you left out the bit where you should remove the abs sensor before you reinstall the new hub. now i need a new abs sensor. :(
He said be careful so it’s not damaged
I did the same thing but I took both front ones out
"Now lets do the same from the other side a little bit, and we'll continue". * cut scene / loving bonk * out comes the hub. Where is the other side? No marks significant enough on the hub to assume anything.
I guess i'll use my mechanical instinct. Geeez
