Whenever I played this, I thought Jak was just like o.o because he realized he wasn't taking a bad situation seriously but watching this, it is very clearly looking at the audience...god I must have been dumb when I was younger.
Not trying to have any nostalgia bias or anything, but I really do think Jak & Daxter was always great with their 4th wall break jokes. The "GAME RIGHTS?" joke in Jak 2 is amazing

I headcanon that enough exposure to dark eco causes the creature to become meta levels of aware. Hence how only Jak and Daxter, the only two creatures with heavy enough exposure to dark eco, can break the 4th wall.
now imagine jak 4 : Mar comes out and Jak is not only time traveling but breaking even more 4th walls by traveling thru dimensions and using his 4th wall breaking powers to build Haven city
My other favorite 4th wall break from Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando is where they arrive at planet Notak and the thief gets away in a cutscene and Clank mentions “we always seem to be a bit late, why is that? (They look at you after) 🤣
My favorite one was in Jak X where they meet up with Kleiver again and he mentions how he’s not gonna be embarrassed on the track by Jak again and Daxter says “dude that was so last adventure, (looks to the camera) available in stores now) 😂
How can they not make another jak game like wtf. Just make it like these games and have more cool side quests and characters for the 4th game. Like this game was so ahead of it's time and we miss these games so much. Do they not want to print money 😂
I assume Naughty Dog had plans for the Uncharted Series and some stuff may have happened leading to no more Jak and Daxter Games. It is unfortunate since Jak 2 & 3 are probably my favourite games I've ever played.
When character of a game/movie/book etc. talk or act like they know they are fictional, like here when Jack and Daxter "realised" that they were in a game and got surprised when the other character said "this isn't a game"
What kills me is that Jak who is quite cool and serious joins in on the joke xD

Naughty dog really pulled through with the Jak & Daxter series. Jak 3 just holds a special place in my heart. It was my childhood.
and Daxter saying "this is what happens when you drop my name from the title" in one of his occasional death commentaries in Jak 3.
