In this sermon titled “The Premillennial View,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones identifies several errors with the premillennial interpretation of eschatology. First, no other passages in the New Testament reference an earthly kingdom with Jesus literally reigning on earth for 1,000 years. Second, this view makes the kingdom earthly, whereas Jesus’s emphasis is on a spiritual kingdom. Third, it postpones the idea of the kingdom to the future, but this is contrary to what Dr. Lloyd-Jones sees in the New Testament. Fourth, it reintroduces the distinction between Jews and Gentiles that Paul so clearly wrote had been abolished. Fifth, Lloyd-Jones says, it proposes that there are three comings of Jesus, whereas Scripture says that there are two. Sixth, this view says that glorified saints and the Lord Jesus in His glory are on earth together with those who haven’t been glorified yet, but this, too, seems contrary to what Scripture teaches. Finally, it is inconceivable that if Christ reigns for 1,000 years that Satan will be able to produce an army large enough to wage war against Christ, even though they will be defeated. Listen to this sermon as Dr. Lloyd-Jones expands on these points and helps the listener understand the flaws with a premillennial view of the end times.

A day to the LORD is liken unto a thousand years to us 😇 and he will raise them up in the last day. His day or our day? 🧐 From the death, burial and resurrection until now we call the last days which if we put a number to it is 2000 years. 2 days to God.

I do believe that you need to Read Revelation and Believe what Jesus said as is written!
We have been warned to not add to His Words and to Not Remove from His Words!
Jesus spoke the Words in Revelation and Jesus said Clearly that His Reign will be for 1,000 Years with His Saints and that Satan will be Bound for that same 1,000 Years!
Read Zechariah Chapter 14 and you will see that Reign that is spoken of!
Trust Jesus and do NOT go against what Jesus said so Clearly!
1,000 Years is 1,000 Years just as 1,260 Days is 1,260 Days and 42 Months is 42 Months!

The whole of the OT predicts the coming rule of the Messiah. In fact, this hope is the highlight of the OT saints. The NT only revealed to us the duration of the reign: 1000 years. If there is no other additional details revealed in the NT it’s simply because all of the important details for us to know are more than sufficiently revealed throughout the OT. And mot of these details of the Millenium were meant to the nation of Israel who will be ruling during that time from Jerusalem.

Have you never read Revelation 20:5? It literally says that there is a first resurrection of the righteous and that the rest of the dead will not be raised AFTER the 1000 years are ended. Also, you would think that when we are dealing with the Revelation but this man does not seem to have read the book of Revelation after all.

It also says the rest of the dead being raised after the 1,000 year reign IS the first resurrection. It does not separate the 2. Read it again. Both the ones reigning for 1,000 years & the ones being raised from the dead after the 1,000 year reign are part of the first resurrection.

@@BingoNamo-gb8pz You missed the point entirely. MLJ said there is ONE resurrection, at ONE TIME then final judgement. He said there is NOT one resurrection of the godly and THEN a separate one of the ungodly. The verse quoted states the contrary. This is the first resurrection true. But the mistake commonly made is stating that there is but ONE "general" resurrection. There is an entire millenia til the resurrection of the dead.
