- In today's video I will be showcasing two unique formations along the Black River near Cleveland - the East and West Falls. Cascade Park encompasses the region and provides locals with pristine hiking trails to explore. This was my very first time traveling to this park and I was impressed with how well-maintained the grounds were. Several parking lots are available throughout the park allowing for easy access to all of the sights. I hope you enjoy and stay tuned for more travel adventures coming soon.
My hometown. Thank you. This is the emerald gem of Elyria. Sure it has the oldest charted high school west of the Allegany mountains, but this park with its two beautiful cascading waterfalls in the heart of the city, is so serene. You walked right pass where the black bear cave was . The park has been through many transformations over the past century, but is a great place for families or just for a person to find serenity.

Grew up there, walked all over this park, old power stations and mills...great hiding places in caves when skipping school...loved going to the park...mom’s ashes went into the 3rd street falls.

Born in Lorain, grew up in Elyria. This was my playground when I was a child. I lived in biking distance of Cascade Park on Ford Rd., also on the Black River.

Thank you for featuring my hometown. I've been here for almost 60 years. Cascade Park has been renovated in recent years which really improved the experience. I grew up in the '60s and '70s playing here, climbing the rocks, (with no fences or discernible trails), the Bears were here too. I felt horrible for the Bears back then. There used to be a Ford where you could drive your car over the flowing water from Cascade Park to Ely Park across the Black River. Cascade Park was carved out by glaciers during the end of the Ice Age.

Thank you for sharing this video, I think I'm going to plan a trip there. Is this close to Cuyahoga Valley National Park? The first part of the video reminded me very much of several of the parks in Hocking Hills near Logan, Ohio which I've always enjoyed. If you've never been there I would highly recommend it.
@@t.e.1189 thank you for watching my friend this place is worth the trip. I believe it’s 36 minutes away from Cuyahoga. Yes I love hocking hills I did a travel guide there several years ago on my channel. It’s one of my favorite spots in Ohio absolutely gorgeous. Have a great time at Cascade park you could spend all day exploring the beauty of this park. 😁
