I spent 8 years along with 2 other cutters on an older version of this machine. I would not hesitate to say it is the best lawn mower that is out there by far. Excellent choice for a lawnmower.
I tried to find one of these mowers but ended up with a ZD326 instead (new to me). I have nothing at all bad to say about it 6 years later. It had 800 hours when I got it. It runs like new and cuts nice.
I love my F2880. Im 6'2" and it is by far the most comfortable machine ive ever been on. Most likely you have some bearings that are worn in that rear diff. Id recommend going through it asap if the parts are still available. Mine was a city machine also and I had similar issues. Lots of play in the rear end. Cost me about $800 to rebuild everything which included taking one section to the dealership because i wasn't comfortable tearing it down quite that far. In the late 90s I was using an F2100 to Mow about 40 actual acres per week. I mowed 4 days and did maintenance on the machine on the 5th day. Another guy mowed 4 remot locations. Sometimes i helped him on the fith day, otherwise i did maintenance on his machine as well. They are absolute beasts. I ran right square into an elevated manhole cover one afternoon while mowing at full speed. Brought the machine to a complete stand still, cracked the manhole cover, didn’t even dent the deck. Barely scratched the paint. Just dont get them stuck in the mud. That's no bueno....
@michaelmactavish4445 to be clear, it was bearings and seals. The gears were fine. I replaced most of them on my own. I don't remember the specifics now, but the right side had a bearing that I wasn't comfortable getting to with the tools I have at home. I was able to put the partially dissasembled assembly and its components in a box on the floorboard of the car and drive it to the dealership 40 minutes away (cheaper than driving the truck). They had to order the bearing, but $400 later, I had the assembly back in hand assembled with new bearings and ready to bolt back onto the rear axil. If I had let the dealership do the entire repair, the cost would have probably been over $2k.
that’s a great mower! I pull around battery powered mowers, ganged together, with an electric bike I made. grass gets mowed by solar, since all the batteries are charged by the solar system, lol. I dare say, your mower is just a tad faster🤣
Nice tool,I'm I n in Ireland and I have the same,ex council, full cab .because our climate is so wet I find the grass clogs up underneath the deck, I am wondering if I cur one end off and put a small chute to allow the grass to blow out would it help.i would hinge the end so that it could be closed and locked back when needed.what is your opinion on such a job.
definitely cuts nicely. has the fire services mandated that any long grass or shurbs trees have to be within length and height ?. Because out here in bc and the Okanagan we have a fire mandate witch states any long grass shurbs tress gotta trimmed and mowed within a certain height and length on ruel an residential property's so just curious more than anything
Kubota makes good stuff! I wouldn't trust an orange oil filter on my orange equipment. Not all orange things are good, most, but not all. Ripsaw isnt taking customer saws anymore.
Hello buddy, how are you? Quick question please. I have a husqvarna 61 with fuel flooding out the back of the carb! What do you think could be the problem please?
Those cheap home owners mowers aren’t cheap anymore. Covid bumped those prices up. I sold my old mower with 200+ hours for what I bought it for 9 years ago.
Now if they would put a flail mower with hammer type cutters on the drum in front, it would be perfect for field work and lawns. 'That seems to be what I need, a flail mower with hammer cutters in the front. Our lawn if a field, not a finished lawn. I run into smaller tree limbs, ant hills, gravel, high weeds, grass, and saplings trying to invade the property. That kind of mower looks nice on grass but can handle the rough stuff but leave a fair finished look.
Fun you don’t have a John Deere in western Canada 🇨🇦. Jeez don’t put gas ⛽️ into it , it’s full diesel Tinman. 2800 hrs not broke in yet , keep the cutting blades sharp . Don’t see your safety jacks remember THINK SAFETY and always put SAFETY FIRST TINMAN. 😊

@@nospam3409 thats not bad for parts $400 and kubotas are so much easyier to fix
@@michaelmactavish4445 Yes, I was pleasantly surprised. Bearings were $30 to $50 ea (USD) from the dealership. Very simple design.
Love that beautiful mower. Friend of mine has 3 acres and I’ve tried multiple times to get him to purchase a similar model
Now Buckin has to do a mowing video with a Tinman cameo!
If i had more property I'd love a mower similar to that one! For now tho my old John deere gt262 serves me well.
Great video tinman ❤❤

them f series makes a great sidewalk machine
Nice property tinman I have almost 6 acres and it’s the best having a little land to do stuff on especially cutting wood!
Buckin is always saying great things about you tinman ❤😊
He's a good fella that buckin guy
Always something to do 😂. TC Mahalo Tinman 🤙🤙🤙
Looky, looky, you with that crome socket
41 thousand subs!!! Ya tin man!!
I hope they're good mowers, I'm investing in one next week. The one I'm getting is a 2010 Diesel, with 410 hours on it.
I've had this mower for almost 10 years. I've put 800 hours or so on it and rarely have had any breakdowns. It currently has almost 2700hours on it
Nice video Tinman!! I appreciate ya friend. 7 acres may be brush hog worthy eh
Wow thanks, the appreciation is all mine!!
Thanks. Now I feel like I got tics crawling on me. Lol.

LOL buckin’!
what Ripsaw did you run. Did you like it. Thanks
What do you think about Opti 2 oil at 70:1 for my chainsaws. Some are ported and some are stock

Na, we rarely get fired bans or anything like that here.

Up here it's easy to spend 3 to 5 k on a mower for sure.

that thing should have a chainsaw holder on it.
Any tips on modifying the deck so it swings up for cleaning like the newer models ?
Not that I know of
Curious, what year is it? What’d you pay for it? Beautiful mower but a lot of $$$ even for used it seems…
I have a F2100 with a 60” deck. The F2100 will run forever, however I need a new deck
My uncle has one of those with low hours. It's a great machine for sure.
I'd like to inquire about sending you some Chainsaw related stuff.
Hi my email is on my about page if you'd like to get in touch with me. Thanks for your support

I had a deere once; good mower but i think the kubota is a better machine.
Is this a commercial mower
Yes, the F series are kubotas commercial mowers. They also have a line of commercial ZTRs which are also impressive machines.
Soon need a coat off new paint, keep on the rust kubuto make from recycled beer 🍺 cans buddy .
I have many cans of kubkta orange in the shop, just waiting for the right time to do it.
