    I think the dogs need more credit for this video production!

    For anybody wondering yeah the 970R can and does eat grass that fast as long as you can hang on. Deere gave a demo 3 years ago and we’ve never looked back.

    Awesome video friend, me and my two brothers have 1025R tractors and JD zero turns and we have excellent service out of our JD products, my older brother has almost 840 hours on his 2021 1025R and me and my other brother has over 200 hrs so far on ours, and our dealer who we deal with is amazing and that makes a big difference in owning any equipment.

    You can only mow that past if the ground is smooth. If there are ru😊ts and bumps, it’ll throw you right out of the seat.

    John Deere is not half of what it used to be. I used to love John Deere but now I’m going to try an X mark mower.

    Did you consider any of the smaller options, like the Z500 series? Would those handle 3-4 acres like what you mow? Would tweels and Z-Glide also fit on other zero turns? Which other brands/models did you consider?

    • @dryrunoutdoors
      @dryrunoutdoors  Před měsícem +1

      Yes the smaller zero turns would absolutely handle this property. For the first year, We borrowed my dad’s 2006 John Deere 720A to mow. It was a 48 inch. It was a great cut. No issues with the zero turn. It took much longer to mow. Not as many creature comforts (no tweels, no comfort glide seat.) We also mowed a few times with our John Deere 2025R tractor. I value my time the most that’s why we went with a big 72 inch. At the time I did not consider any other brands. The ones I was mainly looking at were the Z970R, Z994R, and Z997R.

    Shame that the motor sounded louder than the mower, Sharp blades as always.

    Do the tweels smooth out the ride too

    • @dryrunoutdoors
      @dryrunoutdoors  Před 9 dny

      I believe it makes it smoother. Absorbs the bumps.

    how's the 60 vs 72 cut quality and clumps?

    • @dryrunoutdoors
      @dryrunoutdoors  Před 2 dny +1

      It’s all personal preference. Both do a good job. If you want to mulch if, the 60 inch is better obviously. If you want to throw it out the side, the 72 inch throws it far!

  • @shanepipkin4041
    @shanepipkin4041 Před 3 dny +1

    why you need a tractor their? when you have that beast running 12mph

    • @dryrunoutdoors
      @dryrunoutdoors  Před 3 dny +1

      We put about 80-100 hours a year on the tractor. Plowing snow, brush hog, grading the driveway, loader and backhoe work
