It's secondary range can get out to 8.7 KM if you run full secondary range
This looks like a pretty capable ship with a difference or two from the Gneisenau, which is a ship that I do enjoy playing.
Spartan's colorful attitude about that legendary "eagle" module that addresses torpedo damage and torpedo spotting is very close to my attitude toward Gyrating Drillbits....German battleships and battlecruisers generally offer very good top speed, in my own experience in this game which has seen a lot of matches, its counter-productive, in my opinion, to reduce the top speed in a brawler with torpedos. Preserving that top speed will not only cut the distance faster but it will also get you to another place on the map quicker when time is of the essence.
This ship and the Gneisenau-actual, will thrive in combat that's under 9 kms with 6-8 kms being it's sweet-spot.
VII Hipper has a couple of videos where he showcases a build & play style for both Gneisenau & Scharnhorst that literally changed my attitude regarding both of these ships.
This Star-Trek version of the Gneisenau seems like an appealing consideration thus far. I'm thinking Guepratte could be a better option over Spock as the primary commander .
Secondaries just never seem to hit destroyers. A DD can be within 6km of my 10.5km Massachusetts secondary build but never lead shots correctly even with booster popped. It’s so frustrating cause they can literally sail in a straight line and the secondarys just can’t seam to lead shots with a ship moving that quick
Got this in a crate. Not the strongest ship in the world but I'm enjoying it. Don't have Spock running Guepratte for speed and reload. Range sucks but D'Kyr is a pretty good knife fighter. Enjoyed the video, thanks🖖👍

The only ship the spotter seems to actually work in for me, is the Arizona. I can shoot a quarter off the bow of a destroyer with that thing. 😂
Just bought the Nelson tonight and realized that it’s a beast I don’t consider myself a good player but in arcade I was able to 2v1 a King George V and Normandie and I can say for sure is that this thing has the Best HE in the game In my first game I got 100k damage and a High caliber

Hi Spartan, on the star trek event the pack with commanders and ships that's 46500 doubloons on console, on pc I've heard is 23500 doubloons?

Ive been using Jujard with this full accuracy but with megalomania i can get the reload down to 22 sec so brawler without the downside. I like this over the normal ship i think just like other German bbs it will be better in brawl mode or raked
My secondary build is an 8.9km. I don't know why yours is so short.
Star trek content is really making it hard to stick to my not giving WG any more money. But I'm managing. I really miss this game.

D'kyr isn't a bad ship. Grimlock is a great commander for the ship, mainly because of the Sharpshooter skill. I use a secondary build in Arcade mode mostly. I use AL Bismarck and William Simms as my inspirations.
Honestly i know you dont like the ship but i was hoping this update Anchorage would be for sell.

You're supposed to run a secondary build on her and use Spocks "Fascinating!" skill. It works really well.
Running a full secondary build makes the guns almost useless and the secondaries are pretty small so really rely on setting fires and they get knocked out easy

Color awkward? not really, D'Kyr is part of the older Vulcan ships in ENT that have that copper color instead of the shiny dark red of the Surak class and its derivatives.

Being random it is pretty much "luck". Granted if you set up your commander and ship modules right it will help, but there are times RNG still just decides to turn your guns into a confetti cannons 🤣

Hi! Is FleetElite43 yours? I am DMYATS) Got this ship from 15th container (and got all the commanders and two camos). Pretty well result for 15 containers. As for the ship, secondary is ineffective. But I like her. Like Siegfried on tier 6 with better armor, slower reloading and slightly worse penetration. Playing D'Kyr I started using torpedos more often (thanks the armor).
No my fleet is SE43
I use secondary build on this ship and my dmg per battle doesnt go under 90k
I know that you dont really love both the bismarck and the tirpiz, but now that tirpiz sigma got buffed and its 1.9 will you try an accuracy built on it?
Does it change things dramatically though?
@@olegwinner yeah, cause WG in a few words gave the ship more hp points and more precise guns, and spartan said he didnt like this ship mainly because the main guns for him werent enough precise even with a dispersion built
How the heck you know when something is dual purpose gun ?
Because it lists it as a main or secondary gun and as an AA
I’m glad I didn’t buy any of those Star Trek ships, I love Star Trek but the ships skins not my favorite, I like to see Star Wars or Halo would be nice to see
Spotter planes to me lost most of it use with it not spotting ships, as that buff to the guns is not a guarantee, you could still be screwed over by RNG, and get even worse rolls.

So the atlantico player sucks because he got skill wall reload boosted? What exactly did he do wrong being 3km off your left side and learning about the dd at the same time you did?
Don’t tell me “he should’ve saw the torps and turned away” you only saw them because of him, there was 20ish seconds between the first torps and the second torps …. How agile do you think the atlantico is?
Look at the map, he was not farther then anyone else on the team… so how is it his fault? How does he suck?

Let's see... Atlantico sees torps and does absolutely nothing to his course or speed just sails straight ahead and dies.
I saw the first set of torps and immediately slowed down and turned in dodging torps that were not seen...
As a BB captain you have to realize quickly what is around you and figuring that's a yudachi you know he's got torp reload boosters..
So again not saying someone is bad because they got reload booster but after seeing a set of torps just miss him and then he doesn't bother changing course or speed show at minimum lack of experience

There’s about 5 seconds between the first salvo hitting/missing, so at what point between the 5 or so seconds between the first and second set of torps did he have time to dodge the second set? When did he have time after dodging the first set, to dodge the second set that followed right after?
What’s the rudder shift time on that thing? Oh yeah, not that fast is it?
You didn’t even look at the mf that long to begin with. All you did was see him get torped and assumed he didn’t change course or change speed. Tf you expect to see out of an atlantico? Cruiser shifting?
Cause he didn’t get killed by the first salvo so I have to assume he dodged them, you weren’t looking at him so it’s hard to tell if the damage he took before was from a torp.
Do you just say anyone who gets dev struck or catches torps sucks?
Is no one else allowed to have a mulligan game except you? It’s impossible that he was truly bumrushed by a dd who rushed close to your side of the map before he could even break off from the firing line your entire team made?
Spartan, sometimes people have a bad game. Sometimes there really is nothing they did wrong and just got screwed. It’s okay to admit that.
I highly doubt if you were where he was and had torps sent back to back, pre-aimed for your dodge, that you would’ve survived.

You’re seriously trying to argue he was supposed to anticipate and dodge torps sent at you when he’s seen that torps were already fired at someone else way behind him….. what part of being the great spartan tells you that the dude 3.5 km behind you getting torped, meaning you’ve already moved past the water he’s currently in, meaning the torps are behind you… automatically means that 8 more torps are coming immediately for you…..
I think you seriously expect people to just read the future with all of your hind sight

Don’t get me wrong, I hate trash players and will talk my sht all the time, but when it’s warranted. Like people hiding behind islands, or going around a corner to chase a dd and THEN getting torped.
Not when they get unlucky because some invisible brat skill walled him from the ether at the start of the game
