Your fleece coat is so cozy 💙
it is!! it’s my fave coat 😝
Nice!
Thank you for watching!
Did you know/remember beforehand the airway techniques and such, or do they kinda refresh your memory on it and how you should be doing it/what you should be doing?
Hey there! thanks so much for watching. Tbh, I didn't know the airway techniques, I worked closely with different anesthesiologists and I would learn something new from each one, so that's how I built my own knowledge and skill.
I also watched videos and read the TNCC book and make sure what I'm looking at in terms of airway, breathing, circulation (ABC). The good thing is I'm always with an anesthesiologist so if anything goes wrong, I can always grab someone. Over time, you become less nervous and become more confident!
So is this still travel nursing ? Like is the pay still like what you stated in your previous videos or did you decide to get a paycut and accept this role ?
took a paycut and work with agency so I can stay home!
Hi! May I ask if the pay is good, or is it perhaps at the same rate as specialty areas like ICU or ER? I'll be graduating in a few months and am considering starting with this one :)
Hi there! In Canada/Ontario, hospitals go by union pay rates so it’s all the same no matter what specialty you’re in. For this specific role, I’m working with an agency. I get an hourly rate of $48/hour.
was this a temporary assignment because i see you are in columbia now?
yes! I work as an agency nurse so I go to different places :) but there’s a permanent nurse who does exactly what I showed in the video
What’s your pt ratio during a shift
Hi! This is actually an outpatient so there is no patient ratio! We go case by case, so one patient at a time!
Where did you work?
Hi there! Unfortunately, I cannot disclose that information. Thanks for understanding.
What is the name of this position?
Post recovery nurse!
